Milkman Amps 1W Plus Combo

- The One Watt Plus offers an unbelievable amount of tonal options in a super simple amp.
The One Watt Plus utilizes 2 6V6 tubes running in parallel for 10 watts of clean power (and 18 watts of harmonically rich overdriven power).
Power scaling drops the amp from 10 down to 1 watt so you can get grind at bedroom volume with no change in tone!
Like all Milkman amps, these are hand wired onto a turret board with Mercury Magnetics transformers and Jupiter Caps built into an aluminum chassis and housed in a Pine cabinet.

This excellent demo quickly covered it all with a variety of lead & rhythms parts on popular single coil and humbucker guitars, with and without band backing... and no unnecessary spoken commentary. Wish all amp demos were this efficient.
Thanks!
The perfect demo
I love the ''in and out'' thing when playing with tracks. Many don't do it and you can never quite figure out the guitar's original tone with the amp in the mix! Great job!
Thanks Carlos!
Best review I saw in UA-cam
Thanks!
Filip, not only are you a gentleman and an honest business but a good player. Very nice. We bought that Origin Custom Ghost Drive from you last week and my kid can’t stop playing. We both can’t. It’s truly a marvel. I’ve never had a more versatile drive pedal, my God the sounds are gorgeous. Running it into a Goodsell Unibox 10 with a Dr. Z Airbrake. I visited this video because I have my eye on a Milkman amp and saw it was you. I’ll call next week maybe you can help me pick an amp.
Thanks
JimmyO
Thanks! The player in the vid is Stu Weinberg, he's an incredible player from Ontario, Canada 👍
Nice player, very Mateus Asato sounding. Soulful
Keep up the good work!

Awesome. I'm happy to read that! Anything in particular you'd like us to demo next?
@@ElectricMojoGuitars yes, could you please do a demo of the way huge conspiracy theory overdrive pedal? And maybe a silver sky 🤗
This is so good! Why aren't all gear demos like this?
came here for a amp demo, but I am going to have to borrow that intro groove from you. Nice playing!
Thanks!
Groovy!
Nice demo. But what's with the taping of the card to the guitar? It's small on my phone, so I can't tell what it is.
Love the backing track at the beginning where can i get it from?
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid. Stu records the backing tracks as well.
Would you recommend this over the morgan ac20? Both have power scaling features and I wondered which would sound great for home use and small gigs? Any help would be appreciated! Great playing btw!!
Thanks! In terms of the comparison to a Morgan AC20, you're right, they both offer power scaling, which is super useful for home use. The decision would really depend on your personal tastes. Are you a fan of Vox-style amps? Or, do you prefer Fender-inspired designs? What amp are you using at the moment?
@@ElectricMojoGuitars I'm using a boss katana 50 mk2 atm. I've never owned a tube amp before but want something with that pedigree but at bedroom levels! I play mainly john mayer country blues gary moor slash type stuff singer songwriter stuff
@@jackturner278 Alright, thanks for the info. It sounds like the Milkman would be better suited for your needs (blues, rock, country).
@@ElectricMojoGuitars Thank You so much! Have a great weekend!
Which speaker were you using? I didn’t see it in the description
The One Watt Plus in this demo is equipped with a Celestion Greenback.
What is that riff on the telecaster!? I recognize it but can’t remember the song name
Ian Anderson hey Ian! It’s Life’s Been Good by Joe Walsh
@@Stuweinberg thanks!
Do you enjoy the milkman at this wattage or would you buy more watts
It would really depend on your personal needs. If you'll mainly be using the amp at home, the One Watt Plus is really an awesome option. However, if you need to keep up with a drummer live, the Milkman 20W Creamer might be a more interesting option.
Electric Mojo Guitars thanks. Have a large amp for gigs. This would be for home use only. Thx.
Are both inputs the same? Or are they high/low?
You've got a high and low input.
The EQ on that amp has a very big range. Some amps you don’t hear much of a change at all.
how does it take pedals?
Really well. The One Watt Plus is a 10W amp, so you have enough headroom to add pedals. The onboard attenuator drops the amp from 10W down to 1W so you can also push the amp at bedroom volume levels (no overdrive necessary).
Your 1 watt amp is killing my bose speaker
Is this a tweed or blackface style amp?
Milkman amps have their own personality, they sort of combine the cleaner Blackface tones with Tweed-style overdriven tones :)
Milkman or Benson?
It would depend on your personal preferences and needs. Are you looking for something specific from your next amp? Do you play live or would mainly use the amp at home?
@@ElectricMojoGuitars mainly at home. I have a stack of use for live. I like the idea of a fever feature which had me consider a Nathan Jr. from Benson...unless theres a milkman reverb I'm not aware of. Thoughts?
@@gregmoore3007 Yes, the Nathan Jr's really awesome as a compact, simple home amp. The closest to the Nathan Jr in terms of features from Milkman would maybe be the The Amp Combo (you can use headphones at home, it's super compact, has on-board reverb and trem).
@@ElectricMojoGuitars just saw all my typos, lol. I see you figured out I meant reverb, not fever. I'll take a look at The Amp Combo. Thx
