I just stumbled on to this - its great! That little amp really fills up that room :)
+milkmansound Yes, this little amp fills up this big open room with its 5W little watts! The thing I love the most is, if I want to know how a guitar really sounds, I plug it direct, record and the amp tells me the truth! ;-) Thanks again Tim and good luck with your business in SF!
Very nice playing. I bought a Half Pint about a month back and love it. What sweet sounds they make...
Nice :) I really liked your demo. You have some serious gears , congrats :)
Thanks mate!
That sound is nuts
Just got my half pint, worth every penny!!!
Agreed! ;-)
nice little amp.. thanks for sharing
You're welcome! ;-)
Bloody fantastic !!
Thanks Gary!
Thanks for this awsome demo my friend! Is the 12 inch speaker you have? I actually read the comments below and saw that you made a comparison with Swart 5W tremolo . Pros and Cons? I still not decided wich one I wanna buy, or if I want both ;) is there a video where you compare them? Kind regards
awesome man, thanks for the demo!
+Harry Emmott You are very welcome! It was a real pleasure to play my guitars in this awsome little amp!
***** It is one of those amps, I can tell!
Hi Gregory! Great video! Gregory, I have a Tweed Champ 5F1(home use), Single ended, 6v6, 5y3, cathode bias, some of the characteristics are the same of the Half Pint. My question is, the half pint is a clean amp? Clean in a way that you can really hear note separation, definition? Not clean headroom. Or it's more like a champ? That's more like a little fire breathing monster? Where it's REALLY warm and not so bright? I ask that because I want something in low watts like my champ but that is clean and defined, and the power scaling feature is awesome! Plus reverb and trem! Wow! Also which speaker is loaded in yours? And one last question, what's the song that starts in 8:43? Amazing! Thanks!
@Lucas Montefeltro Since you asked, the song at 8:43 is Bob Marley's "So Much Trouble In The World".
Which speaker was installed? Milkman offers this amp with a choice of several.
12" Jupiter Alnico
@@gnguyenb Thanks!
hi. can you compare this one to your two rock?
They are not really boxing in the same category... One is 5W tweed front end; the other is 22W blackface type. The Crystal is my main amp for day use; the Half Pint is my main amp for night use! I love them both but they are very different beasts indeed!
Great demo!! Which one takes Pedals best in your opinion?
Thanks man
+Bruno Sampaio I like to know the auto this question as well.
Thank you so much for playing real music clean and letting us hear the amp rather than noodle endlessly playing horrific blues licks over and over like 95% of the other channels 😌
@@jj339c You're very welcome! :)
Is that a Tone King Imperial that we see on the back ?
Yes Sir, it was. Unfortunately, I had to sell it not very long after the shooting of that video...
Gregory NGUYEN BA did you have the attenuator on it ?
Yes, it was the MKII version with the built-In Ironman II compensated power attenuator. For the same objective, the Milkman Half Pint has the VVR control which provides voltage-controlled power scaling. Awesome feature for home use!
Which one did you like the most at really bedroom level ? I tried in the past the Imperial MKII with the attenuator and it was really awesome. I never had the chance yet to try a Milkman amp. My dealer is around 2h from my place.
For bedroom level, I prefer the Milkman Half Pint or my Swart STR Tremolo. They are 5W and they both have an attenuator, a spring reverb and a tremolo. You can push their tubes to submission at really neighbor’s friendly volume level. Overall, I prefer the sound of the Milkman. It just sounds better to my ears. If I need more power, I’ll plug into my Two-Rock Crystal which is my main amp.
Not sure if I would pay 2500 for one. Side by side with a Fender you couldn't tell the difference.
At the time, I ordered the Half Pint directly from Tim in San Francisco so the price was sweeter. I never tried a 5W tube Fender that sounded like that. The Vibro Champ with its only 6L6 and its 10 inch speaker won't stand a chance, that's for sure!
is this amp pretty quiet?
Very quiet!
So hows the noise on this thing? For example, hum/white noise at different volumes. Looking at this for a mic'd gig and recording amp versus' the Suhr Corso for recording but the Corso would almost be out of the question because its a head only and i'd rather have a small combo mic'd up.
