Hey guys, thanks for checking out this video today. Obviously I love Mega Man, but there are some titles in the franchise that are downright WEIRD. Let me know what you think about these games below!
What's weird about the Mega Man DOS games is that the swimming and some boss names would be used in later games. Not sure if that was a coincidence or if the devs took note.
@@GoodVibeCollecting Interesting. I haven't played BN games at least yet. Bit Man could very well happen. We had block man already and that's kinda close. Also, capcom really likes to include electric type man in their games. In Mega Man 11 they had Fuse Man. I wouldn't be surprised to see bit man representing electricity in Mega Man 12. There's a limited amount of fitting electricity related words after all.
The Mega Man Cave: hey how many of you guys are familiar with the Wonderswan? Me: I don't have it but I do! The Mega Man Cave: oh,I'm the only one? Me: huh?
There's this game I bought for the Genesis from some junk store near where I used to live ages ago, and the cover of it said Rockworld. It had a picture of Mega Man wielding a hammer. It's like an arcade style game where you use your hammer to break the floor in front of you so that an enemy falls into it and you then hit them with the hammer again, and then when all the enemies are gone, you move on to the next screen. It seems to be a reskin of this game for the Mega Drive called Wani Wani World where you play an alligator. When you use the teleporters, you can see the original sprite.
I'm trying to listen to you but that Hornet Man MM9 theme is distracting me! LOVE it! :) Nice video btw! I actually learned a lot about the Blue Bomber's weird escapades! I never knew that there was a Mega Man pinball game out there. As far as me personally, those Mega Man 1 and 3 DOS games that came out in the mid-90's were VERY strange. Playable but odd throughout.
For real. I had to go back and focus on the commentary several times because I kept finding myself humming along to the music and absolutely not paying any attention to the words being spoken.
I remember the DOS Megaman 3 game as much better than what I'm seeing here... In my memory, it has the NES sprites for Megaman and there's music, but I can't remember what the music sounded like... I've beaten the game a few times when I was much younger. I remember that I always started with Shark Man and then just went in a circle, ending with Bit Man, using the previous boss's weapon on the next.
I had the Mega Man Dos games. They were not great, but they were the first games I owned with Mega Man in them, so I loved them. Also, happy birthday, Mega Man!
If you ever do a follow-up I'd suggest checking out Mega Man x Street Fighter. It was a fan game that was given official blessing from Capcom and even hosted on the Capcom website, making it at least as official as the Mega Man DOS games.
I just wish the stories evolved more than “Defeat X because Y.” I know that’s not what makes them popular but it would be so fascinating to explore the wider world. Maybe maybe a metroidvania type where the boss weapons did more than at best burn down a tree or dig through rocks. I dunno. The whole “Robots with a free will” concept is so fascinating to me and I feel like it’s been wasted.
Lucky, I managed to play Megaman Kart in PS2 Collection (still disapointed because I thought it was going to be Megaman X7, I think it wasn't released that time) I came for Megaman Strategy, the effects are amazing but the frames of the characters aren't enough for me, maybe...
Please never stretch 4:3 footage. It looks ugly and incredible jarring when you go from stretched footage in one game to proper aspect ratio in another.
Rockman's face icon in Rockman Strategy is a work of art.
I know right?
Ah, a man of culture as well
Rockman & Forte: Challenge From The Future is actually a direct result of the events of Mega Man 2 on the Game Boy.

I mean at least Mega Man 3 DOS didn't lie...
Those robots do indeed look quite revolting

I know, like Wave Man, kind interesting!
@@PressStartToContinueYT Weird thing is, MM3 DOS and Mega Man 5 (both having a Wave Man) came out around almost the same time.
Wave Man, Blade Man, Torch Man and Oil Man have been used. That's 4/6!
@@aleksi2627 Shark Man is a boss in Mega Man Battle Network. 5/6! Still waiting on Bit Man.

Wasn't expecting such high quality from a video with barely any views. It looks like it should have at least 20,000.
Thanks!
Yeah, this dude definitely deserves more subs than he curently has

Lot of games I haven’t heard of for sure. I’m always tempted to get the Dos megaman but I can’t bring myself to burn that money
Lol you should keep it that way

I never heard of the pinball game. I would love a full blown console follow-up to this.
Really amazing video! How does this only have 500 views!?

You forgot to add the Iconic Masterpiece know as "MegaFag" in your list
And I only thought that Sonic had the weirdest games.
I love it any time a track selection shows a 3D map.
Gives me big Nitro Kart nostaliga
I have a WS Color, it was like $20 and came with Final Fantasy 1
That's a helluva score
The enemy at the 7:05 mark appears to be Skeletor as a robot master.
Another great video. Did you say lit? 😂

Is it bad I legitimately got kinda excited when the Wonderswan came up?
...I'm Wonderswan Trash #1. ; u ;
Mega Man Monopoly.
My life is complete.
I’m proud I knew about Rockman Strategy
Space Pinball isn't "free to play". It's just a free game. Pre-installed on windows.
Sad no mention of the TI-83 game.
5:30 no mention of crash team racing ? Lol Nintendo wasn't the only one

MM3 dos is second game; 3 is beacuse of boxart being from MM3 normal... Yeah.
There was a cancelled Game Boy port of Rockboard.
I heard about that!
shut it, battle and chase is fantastic!
I was expecting mega man soccer
You got The Dimensions colours wrong.
?
It's fanart. Until somewhat recently there weren't any references for how the Dimensions were colored, not even official art.
This video was going great. No obnoxious BS. Just a good video. Then you had to throw it all in the trash by begging for likes at the end.
No Super Adventure Rockman? Subscribed until you rectify this!
Rockman X3 Math Tornado
That’s in my next video 👀
@@PressStartToContinueYT Yooo really? I was just joking when I wrote that comment but that’s good to hear.

Sigh…
No offense, but it’s irritating when a video mentions the music of a game or something of the sort and doesn’t play the music.

It’s not stretched after recording, that’s literally how I recorded it in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.
@@PressStartToContinueYT Fix the aspect ratio before recording or do it in the editing phase then
