I totally agree, Coolguy, Cammy, and Lego are the only creators that really dive into the technical, theoretical, and unique things that game have to offer in terms of weapons and overall sandbox. All things that bring me enjoyment out of destiny

I'm so glad four-bursts are becoming more prominent. With Insidious, Disparity, and now this, I'm hoping we get more aggressive pulses with Final Shape. Personally, I'm hoping for a refresh of Blast Furnace. Loved that one.
I view all these new perks as an expansion of the BA weapon’s potential. There’s no reason all of them shouldn’t be very potent when they get updated. Fingers crossed for Ringing Nail to get Onslaught and Blast Furnace to get Kinetic Tremors

Rapid hit, zen moment is crazy on this. It just doesn't move and you destroy in your duels thanks to the anti flinch. On top of that cos it's an aggressive you are flinching the hell out of your opponent. Really really like this weapon. ❤ great review as always.
I've heard other ppl say arrowhead makes it feel worse and this proves it. Bungie needs to do something about this. A stat is supposed to mean something and as it goes up it's supposed to get better because you're sacrificing something else for that particular stat. Whether it's using a mod or using arrowhead brake over something like full bore, you're having to lose something else to get a higher recoil direction stat, so for it to get worse once you go above 89 is ridiculous.
It’s a fact. I tried it with arrowhead and it’s awful. They definitely need to fix that. I keep trying to love my rifle but it’s not consistent. I die after using it because it leave people one shot and you need a third burst because of the pattern being funky.
I very much agree. They should make the pattern fully vertical at 100 recoil stat. It should be such that: The lower your stat the more the terrible deterministic pattern starts to show, the higher your stat the more vertocal and lesst pattern.

I need to try a rapid hit/headseaker one as that's better in this current sandbox, especially in Checkmate, b4 making my final decision on it though. On that note Bungie NEEDS to do something about crafted weapons being better than random rolled ones by default due to enhanced perks. How hard would it be to just let us enhance all weapons? And random ones need something crafted can't get, even a small stat bump would suffice to make grinding rolls appealing again because crafting has destroyed loot drops completely.
This is definitely one of my new favorite guns. I like the 4 bursts, and I LOVE the model, it’s clean and sharp. My PvP roll is eye of the storm/headseeker. It’s a dueling monster. I love it.
I've got the same roll and feel the same way. I'm curious to try the rapid hit and zen moment roll, but the accuracy and aim assist buffs from headseeker and eots snag so many crits anyway, idk if it needs to be more stable. Edit: also pretty sure in the final shape we'll be able to enhance its perks too.

I’m wary of rapid hit on these. Probably the strongest choice but It can give you such a variable burst experience depending on how many stacks are up. One duel it’s a laser beam the next it’s flying all over the place.
Really appreciate the recoil analysis! Now that we're in a deterministic pattern era it seems like there's a lot more to consider when choosing between selecting a recoil barrel and/or counterbalance mod. If a weapon pulls hard enough in a particular direction at "even" recoil direction splits, you might be incentivized to build into the other direction ala 70 (--->) / 80 () instead of 75/85/95 etc, or to prioritize stability enhancing perks to soften the recoil. Kind of nice, more opportunities to sport Fluted or Smallbore for stat bumps on weapons that need it.
Yep pretty much this. For example the Fang of Ir Yut I believe has a VERY horizontal recoil direction, like bad. I think it pulled hard to the right or left so when aiming you had to compensate or let off on your normal aiming, it was weird af. However with something like Arrow headed you literally move that direction vertically, making it feel normal. Definitely a lot more to consider now than just slapping a counter balance. Weapons are way more about feel now than just numbers and I kind of like it. I wondered what it was about the Kept Confidence that made it feel so good despite the weak perk pool and I'm convinced this has a lot to do with it.
I love aggressives, and this is the coolest looking one yet. My big problem with aggressives has been the absolutely humongous weapon models, but now we finally have one that's a bit smaller. Gonna need to get me some rolls.
First roll I got Keep away/head seeker and I haven’t been able to put it down. Such an amazing dueling gun they definitely nailed it with this one. Very happy they went with a four burst we don’t get those often so getting one that is loaded for pvp is really nice

going by this video and the feel of the new iron banner AR im guessing the numbers are much the same for all guns with the new recoil? ie 89 feels best. It's what Ive found with lethal abundance (the IB AR) and now seeing this video on the pulse confirms it
100% agree. It takes away our ability to fix recoil with the proper rolls (and mods). Now it's predetermined and out of our control. Bungie just decides now which guns get good recoil patterns and which guns get bad ones, and there's little we can do about it. How are people on board with this?
I think it's pretty cool, adds another layer of identity to weapons.. I got Ros Arago the other day, and found that it kicks a little to the left before levelling out. Messed around with mods, and to me it feels best with a right leaning number. Less sway to the left in the beginning. (Might have messed up the directions, but you take my point).

This is is so weird because I switched from chambered to just polygonal, mainly for the handling, but it started feeling so much better. This is probably why
I have Keep Away / Headseeker with 85 range, 75 stability and 49 handling... awesome PR! And I never been a fan of the 4-burst archetype before this one...
I got one with Corkscrew, ricochet, rapid hit, kill clip, hand-laid stock, and a stability MW. It melts in pvp and is loads of fun to use for those precision shots. Granted it may not be the "god roll" for most people, but it workd great with my builds.
tHE dRIFT COMES from broken console controllers. I have rappid hit with zen moment. I messed my controller up trying to go flawless. Landed a good roll. Thanks Cool Guy!
One thing I noticed is when you brought up Elemental Capacitor you only brought up Stability & Handling from Void & Arc respectively. However, considering how much you spoke about recoil in this vid, I was surprised to not hear you talk about the synergy EC would have with the already wide varieties of recoil patterns or how it would effect it.. Love your content & breakdowns!
One additional note: Fitted stock adds 20 recoil direction taking it to 94. The 94 recoil direction is almost identical to 74 with less leftward drift on the 3rd burst. It's really good. The high zoom takes getting used to, but is nice on the massive maps like multiplex this weekend. And you have to have another weapon for the 15 meter and in range.
The perk rolls I am looking for is, Fluted Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, Elemental Capacitor(Void), Headseeker, Fitted Stock. Some of the perks listed, can get you damn near close to Revision Zero's stats, maybe even a bit better since you can free headshots with headseeker. (Don't forget, Stability plays a huge roll in recoil patterns too.)
I have two rolls that I appreciate: 1. Arrowhead brake/chambered compensator, Flared Magwell/Armor Piercing, Keep Away + Headseeker, Composite Stock + Handling MW. - not perfect, but handles very well. I can get the RD of 84, 99, or 100 with the options available. 2. Full Bore/Hammerforged, Extenderd/Ricochet, Rapid Hit, Zen Moment, Fitted Stock + Range MW - this one maxes out Range and keeps high stability. If I switch off the Fitted Stock I can get the RD of 89 with a counterbalance mod, or just keep it for the 94 RD. Either way this one feels very good at those longer ranges. Despite the range advantage, it's number 1 that I managed to do better with. That higher handling is what drives it, I think, especially with arrowhead brake and handling MW. Either way I love the feel of this weapon. Love the sights too. Actually makes me want to play comp to get new rolls of it!
Blast furnace with zen monent felt amazing on controller back when it existed. I prefered dropmag, zen moment, killclip over rapid hit/killclip with steady rounds on it. Now that zen moment has gotten buffed it's even better and I still pull it from time to time.
Lol. I have that roll and it was my baby. I'm still salty they sunset it. I got a god roll Belisarius and my "new girl" is looking even better than "the one that got away." 😂
@WaterGates1 I can't believe they still haven't reissued the black Armory weapons. Every single other weapon from that time has come back except those. It's an easy win for Bungie, and they love reissuing old weapons, so it's crazy they haven't done it yet.
Wow great catch, thanks for the info. I definitely need to get into testing the recoil patterns with new guns rather than just summing them up for their perks and rolls. I think deterministic recoil is definitely a useful change, as guns in the same archetype can have their own kind of style, and if you put in the time to learn and practice them, they can pay off. That example at 3:55 you showed encapsulates that experience perfectly. You knew how the gun behaved, and adjusted perfectly to turn that into a triple. Love to see it
I got a roll that I really love for mid-long range maps. Chambered Comp, Ricochet Rounds, Fitted Stock, Moving Target, Vorpal, Stability MW - the ULTIMATE dad gun 82 Range, 95 Stability, 100 Recoil Direction - Out the gate. This thing is a monster for lane-ing. 21 handling isn’t great but a radar tuner helped it not feel quite as bad - radar returns immediately after descope. On controller with no recoil control, this thing just gets stuck on people’s heads and stays there. Paired great with a quick draw shotgun I have. Also had a 61 handling roll that was fun. Made it feel very snappy for how much damage it puts out.
@@WaterGates1 That's good to hear. Considering it's near to 100 but slightly to the left I thought it would counteract the slight sway to the right it has whilst still keeping it pretty straight.
I used it when they first added it to comp and HATED it. Ff a few months and I got a new roll with rapid/moving target at it SLAYS. Might be my new favorite primary! That 89 recoil is where it’s at
One of the things people should be aware of especially if your still hunting for a rose or mercurial is that it's something you're getting for free anyway so you have infinite time to find one you like.
that recoil thing is nuts. i was going crazy with a mid roll, then i got headseeker eye of the storm with 89 recoil and i did terrible with it. i miss shots a lot so having the 3rd and 4th bursts be all wiggly was awful for me, but now i get why
Love this gun man got a elemental moving target roll that feels really good playing on void titan with rally barricade, pair it with sect of vigor for max range and stability basically all game in 6v6
I really don´t like determanistic recoil. I like the system before where it was "75 means it can go right, it can go left or middle with each burst but cone is tighter and with 100 it goes perfectly streight". Now it´s 100 and doesn´t even go streight....
My 1st drop of this a couple weeks ago was RH and Headseeker. Smallbore, LM, Fitted Stock and a handling MW. So everything on the roll is being improved in some way. (You really want Fitted Stock -- +20 recoil (94) and +10 stability. -5 handling) I absolutely LOVE this thing. I immediately felt at home with it. I don't play every day (life. lol.), but I have over 350 kills on it and it's replaced my MT, Headseeker adept Messenger. Good luck to everyone in finding the roll they gel with. I probably burned up all my RNG this season by having it drop immediately. Lol.
the beginning of ur video is very useful for the current patch, but once its fixed your still going to want to have as close to 100 recoil direction as u can. So im still going to look for arrowhead break or extended barrel just maybe hold off on using it till it gets fixed

I would have never even thought to look had you not put his out, but Fitted Stock will take the recoil to 94 (a number not mentioned in your video) and has a very similar yet tighter pattern as the 74 recoil mentioned. Again great video, just wanted to get your opinion on a 94 recoil.
I really enjoy the roll I got last week. With how the stock and MW landed, I think I have possibly best stat package on Arc where the gun feels incredibly snappy and responsive (considering the archetype) or on Void it's a laser with very minimal deviation. Smallbore Ricochet Rounds Elemental Capacitor Headseeker Hand Laid Stock Stability MW Ends up with 89 Range, 83 Stability, and 81 Handling on Arc, it's wild. Really enjoy it, albeit with the opportunity cost of not being able to run Conditional Finality for Bubbles and Wells
My roll is Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Elemental Capacitor, Kill Clip and Composite Stock. On a Stasis Subclass I get 94 recoil direction on mine, with counterbalanced I can get it to 100. Can confirm I get three tight vertical and one that pulls to the left. Seems a decent gun.

Btw it can roll with a stock option in the origin trait slot. Mine came out at 94 recoil thanks to that. Nice clean shooting, caught plenty of people last night as they jumped and ran off from the engagement
I dislike this particular pulse, it made me switch back to Sacred Provenance because the recoil direction on that one feels MUCH more consistent. having to constantly adjust for deterministic recoil works against something like an aggressive burst, at least to me
My favorite feature of aggressive pulses is they are a hard counter to snipers. You flinch them to hell and if the try to repeat the burst is so long you can shoot before they peak and still hit them.
My second roll I got vorpal and deconstruct, however, I did get stability and recoiled control with barrels, masterwork, and the stock, and kept 80+ range. Neither perk has helped me in the crucible, but at base it felt great dueling. Cannot wait until I can get the same base model with useful PvP perks and take it for a spin
I have 2 rolls that i just love to use.I have a rapid hit w/ zen moment roll and a eye of the storm w/ headseeker. They are both amazing to use and are my go to weapons this season for crucible.
I have a Rapid Hit, Zen Moment with either Hi-Cal or Light Mag with Chambered or Hammer Forged for barrels. 89 recoil with a counterbalance mod. It is rapidly becoming my favorite pulse in crucible.
My first roll was keep away and moving target, it was ok, but when I got rapid hit/ zen moment, I was blown away, I still want keep away/head seeker, but if I never get that particular roll, I’ll be good with rapid hit zen moment, it doesn’t move. 😂 also because this is pulse rifle video, I finally got your jorum’s claw with encore and GT, it’s funny that it dropped after I crafted adhordative 😂
I noticed something like this on the Iron Banner Auto Rifle. I had 100 recoil but the gun was kicking hard to the right and was really confused as to why that was happening. I'm gonna play around with the other rifles I have and see which I prefer the most. Thanks for the breakdown on that o/
I have a Rapid hit + zen and you can feel the first burst being bouncy but the second burst tightens up. I just need more practice with this pulse to be more consistent with it. Not used to 4 bursts yet.
Man I was wondering what was so wrong with this gun. If someone was closer than 30 meters, I found myself just totally unable to land shots. I was wondering what was wrong with me, but the 1.9 zoom might very well be the problem. I just can't use it other than like a scout. I wanted to love this gun.
the zoom is perfect, i have keep away zen just got it and used it and its awesome. the gun doesn’t need any changes its perfect this way, zen is a must for me i love the way it reduces visual recoil, really good on a weapon like this because your second burst literally WONT move the reticle. and if you land your first burst all 4 then the second can make it consistently 2 burst. it doesn’t need range but the fact that the zoom is high and you add keepaway, it just does wonders for that accuracy bonus it gives.
Good recoil breakdown, but as always, the perk reviews. Yeah, i'd like other perk combinations that work, but this is Bungie. Headseeker rapid hit on every pulse rifle.
The public service you just did to my hunting on this weapons cannot be put into words. Truly, thank you! I now have two rolls I can chase on this weapon. It reminds me a bit of vigilance wing in the way it takes a bit of getting used to. If anyone else is looking for a different muzzle option Smallbore and ricochet rounds get the Range to 89 and Stability to 72 before Rapid Hit Procs. The two rolls I’m thinking are #1 Smallbore, Ricochet. Rapid Hit, Kill Clip, Short-Action Stock, Range MW, Counterbalance Stock #2 Smallbore, Ricochet, Rapid Hit, Zen Moment, Short-Action Stock, Range MW, Counterbalance Stock There might be some tweaks in there somewhere but these roll can have near max Range, Stability, & Reload Speed with everything cooking (99 Range, 97 Stability, 93 Reload Speed)
Kind of wish they brought it down to a 1.7 or 1.8x

This is is so weird because I switched from chambered to just polygonal, mainly for the handling, but it started feeling so much better. This is probably why
I have Keep Away / Headseeker with 85 range, 75 stability and 49 handling... awesome PR! And I never been a fan of the 4-burst archetype before this one...
I think that’s a top 3 roll. Other 4 bursts can get rapid/kc. Only this has keep away.
running smallbore, ricochet rounds, rapid hit, moving target, range master work, hand laid stock and man I am not losing 1v1s. Such a good pulse.
I got one with Corkscrew, ricochet, rapid hit, kill clip, hand-laid stock, and a stability MW. It melts in pvp and is loads of fun to use for those precision shots. Granted it may not be the "god roll" for most people, but it workd great with my builds.
tHE dRIFT COMES from broken console controllers. I have rappid hit with zen moment. I messed my controller up trying to go flawless. Landed a good roll. Thanks Cool Guy!

One thing I noticed is when you brought up Elemental Capacitor you only brought up Stability & Handling from Void & Arc respectively. However, considering how much you spoke about recoil in this vid, I was surprised to not hear you talk about the synergy EC would have with the already wide varieties of recoil patterns or how it would effect it.. Love your content & breakdowns!
One additional note: Fitted stock adds 20 recoil direction taking it to 94. The 94 recoil direction is almost identical to 74 with less leftward drift on the 3rd burst. It's really good. The high zoom takes getting used to, but is nice on the massive maps like multiplex this weekend. And you have to have another weapon for the 15 meter and in range.

The perk rolls I am looking for is, Fluted Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, Elemental Capacitor(Void), Headseeker, Fitted Stock. Some of the perks listed, can get you damn near close to Revision Zero's stats, maybe even a bit better since you can free headshots with headseeker. (Don't forget, Stability plays a huge roll in recoil patterns too.)
I have two rolls that I appreciate:
1. Arrowhead brake/chambered compensator, Flared Magwell/Armor Piercing, Keep Away + Headseeker, Composite Stock + Handling MW. - not perfect, but handles very well. I can get the RD of 84, 99, or 100 with the options available.
2. Full Bore/Hammerforged, Extenderd/Ricochet, Rapid Hit, Zen Moment, Fitted Stock + Range MW - this one maxes out Range and keeps high stability. If I switch off the Fitted Stock I can get the RD of 89 with a counterbalance mod, or just keep it for the 94 RD. Either way this one feels very good at those longer ranges.
Despite the range advantage, it's number 1 that I managed to do better with. That higher handling is what drives it, I think, especially with arrowhead brake and handling MW.
Either way I love the feel of this weapon. Love the sights too. Actually makes me want to play comp to get new rolls of it!
Got a slice, zen moment roll. Use it on radiant dodge hunter with aeons. Very strong with the seasonal mods!
Blast furnace with zen monent felt amazing on controller back when it existed. I prefered dropmag, zen moment, killclip over rapid hit/killclip with steady rounds on it. Now that zen moment has gotten buffed it's even better and I still pull it from time to time.
I once got a roll that gave it either max range or stability.
Lol. I have that roll and it was my baby. I'm still salty they sunset it. I got a god roll Belisarius and my "new girl" is looking even better than "the one that got away." 😂
@WaterGates1 I can't believe they still haven't reissued the black Armory weapons. Every single other weapon from that time has come back except those. It's an easy win for Bungie, and they love reissuing old weapons, so it's crazy they haven't done it yet.

Wow great catch, thanks for the info. I definitely need to get into testing the recoil patterns with new guns rather than just summing them up for their perks and rolls. I think deterministic recoil is definitely a useful change, as guns in the same archetype can have their own kind of style, and if you put in the time to learn and practice them, they can pay off. That example at 3:55 you showed encapsulates that experience perfectly. You knew how the gun behaved, and adjusted perfectly to turn that into a triple. Love to see it
I got my first one last night with arrowhead and I played 1 or 2 games with it and it definitely felt funky like he said. But this video explains why
I got a roll that I really love for mid-long range maps. Chambered Comp, Ricochet Rounds, Fitted Stock, Moving Target, Vorpal, Stability MW - the ULTIMATE dad gun
82 Range, 95 Stability, 100 Recoil Direction - Out the gate. This thing is a monster for lane-ing. 21 handling isn’t great but a radar tuner helped it not feel quite as bad - radar returns immediately after descope.
On controller with no recoil control, this thing just gets stuck on people’s heads and stays there. Paired great with a quick draw shotgun I have.
Also had a 61 handling roll that was fun. Made it feel very snappy for how much damage it puts out.
I wonder what a 94 recoil direction looks like on this and how it compares. You can achieve it with just a fitted stock.

@@WaterGates1 That's good to hear. Considering it's near to 100 but slightly to the left I thought it would counteract the slight sway to the right it has whilst still keeping it pretty straight.

I used it when they first added it to comp and HATED it. Ff a few months and I got a new roll with rapid/moving target at it SLAYS. Might be my new favorite primary! That 89 recoil is where it’s at
My only two drops are a rapid hit / kill clip and a keep away / head seeker. I'm happy.

that recoil thing is nuts. i was going crazy with a mid roll, then i got headseeker eye of the storm with 89 recoil and i did terrible with it. i miss shots a lot so having the 3rd and 4th bursts be all wiggly was awful for me, but now i get why
I've been using stasis, so i was actually pretty pumped when i got an elemental capacitor with headseeker
Love this gun man got a elemental moving target roll that feels really good playing on void titan with rally barricade, pair it with sect of vigor for max range and stability basically all game in 6v6
I've got a slice+zen roll that I pair with aeons on 6v6. It's a pure dueling machine when the lobby is full of bows and HC
I really don´t like determanistic recoil. I like the system before where it was "75 means it can go right, it can go left or middle with each burst but cone is tighter and with 100 it goes perfectly streight". Now it´s 100 and doesn´t even go streight....
Well, stuff I did not know! Will test all guns for recoil from now on.
May be why some guns feel so different now.
My first one got me an 18 kd game. I love these. Got me grinding comp.
My 1st drop of this a couple weeks ago was RH and Headseeker. Smallbore, LM, Fitted Stock and a handling MW. So everything on the roll is being improved in some way. (You really want Fitted Stock -- +20 recoil (94) and +10 stability. -5 handling)
I absolutely LOVE this thing. I immediately felt at home with it. I don't play every day (life. lol.), but I have over 350 kills on it and it's replaced my MT, Headseeker adept Messenger.
Good luck to everyone in finding the roll they gel with. I probably burned up all my RNG this season by having it drop immediately. Lol.

the beginning of ur video is very useful for the current patch, but once its fixed your still going to want to have as close to 100 recoil direction as u can. So im still going to look for arrowhead break or extended barrel just maybe hold off on using it till it gets fixed

I would have never even thought to look had you not put his out, but Fitted Stock will take the recoil to 94 (a number not mentioned in your video) and has a very similar yet tighter pattern as the 74 recoil mentioned. Again great video, just wanted to get your opinion on a 94 recoil.
I really enjoy the roll I got last week. With how the stock and MW landed, I think I have possibly best stat package on Arc where the gun feels incredibly snappy and responsive (considering the archetype) or on Void it's a laser with very minimal deviation.

My roll is Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Elemental Capacitor, Kill Clip and Composite Stock. On a Stasis Subclass I get 94 recoil direction on mine, with counterbalanced I can get it to 100. Can confirm I get three tight vertical and one that pulls to the left. Seems a decent gun.

Man your aim is absolutely insane. You snap right to your target and hit your ttk so often it (literally) kills me. How in the world do you train that?
Btw it can roll with a stock option in the origin trait slot. Mine came out at 94 recoil thanks to that. Nice clean shooting, caught plenty of people last night as they jumped and ran off from the engagement
I dislike this particular pulse, it made me switch back to Sacred Provenance because the recoil direction on that one feels MUCH more consistent. having to constantly adjust for deterministic recoil works against something like an aggressive burst, at least to me
My favorite feature of aggressive pulses is they are a hard counter to snipers. You flinch them to hell and if the try to repeat the burst is so long you can shoot before they peak and still hit them.
My second roll I got vorpal and deconstruct, however, I did get stability and recoiled control with barrels, masterwork, and the stock, and kept 80+ range. Neither perk has helped me in the crucible, but at base it felt great dueling. Cannot wait until I can get the same base model with useful PvP perks and take it for a spin
I have 2 rolls that i just love to use.I have a rapid hit w/ zen moment roll and a eye of the storm w/ headseeker. They are both amazing to use and are my go to weapons this season for crucible.
I have a Rapid Hit, Zen Moment with either Hi-Cal or Light Mag with Chambered or Hammer Forged for barrels. 89 recoil with a counterbalance mod. It is rapidly becoming my favorite pulse in crucible.
My first roll was keep away and moving target, it was ok, but when I got rapid hit/ zen moment, I was blown away, I still want keep away/head seeker, but if I never get that particular roll, I’ll be good with rapid hit zen moment, it doesn’t move. 😂 also because this is pulse rifle video, I finally got your jorum’s claw with encore and GT, it’s funny that it dropped after I crafted adhordative 😂

I noticed something like this on the Iron Banner Auto Rifle. I had 100 recoil but the gun was kicking hard to the right and was really confused as to why that was happening. I'm gonna play around with the other rifles I have and see which I prefer the most. Thanks for the breakdown on that o/
I have slice/zen and keepaway/zen and they both are killer in their own right. I feel like zen is a must have for my personal preference.
I NEED to try rapid hit zen moment on this. Headseeker is probably the play but zen is so under rated
I have a Rapid hit + zen and you can feel the first burst being bouncy but the second burst tightens up. I just need more practice with this pulse to be more consistent with it. Not used to 4 bursts yet.
Man I was wondering what was so wrong with this gun. If someone was closer than 30 meters, I found myself just totally unable to land shots. I was wondering what was wrong with me, but the 1.9 zoom might very well be the problem.
I just can't use it other than like a scout. I wanted to love this gun.
Maybe you just haven't found the right roll. I find hipfire mods help a lot for those up close encounters where you may not want to ads.

the zoom is perfect, i have keep away zen just got it and used it and its awesome. the gun doesn’t need any changes its perfect this way, zen is a must for me i love the way it reduces visual recoil, really good on a weapon like this because your second burst literally WONT move the reticle. and if you land your first burst all 4 then the second can make it consistently 2 burst. it doesn’t need range but the fact that the zoom is high and you add keepaway, it just does wonders for that accuracy bonus it gives.
First drop I got was slice hatchling. Feels awesome in crucible and PvE, especially on Broodweaver.

I got a Keep Away, Moving Target drop this week, and its not bad. I like my Psi Hermetic a bit better but only because I got Headseeker on it.
Good recoil breakdown, but as always, the perk reviews. Yeah, i'd like other perk combinations that work, but this is Bungie. Headseeker rapid hit on every pulse rifle.
The public service you just did to my hunting on this weapons cannot be put into words. Truly, thank you! I now have two rolls I can chase on this weapon.
It reminds me a bit of vigilance wing in the way it takes a bit of getting used to.
If anyone else is looking for a different muzzle option Smallbore and ricochet rounds get the Range to 89 and Stability to 72 before Rapid Hit Procs.
The two rolls I’m thinking are
#1 Smallbore, Ricochet. Rapid Hit, Kill Clip, Short-Action Stock, Range MW, Counterbalance Stock
#2 Smallbore, Ricochet, Rapid Hit, Zen Moment, Short-Action Stock, Range MW, Counterbalance Stock
There might be some tweaks in there somewhere but these roll can have near max Range, Stability, & Reload Speed with everything cooking (99 Range, 97 Stability, 93 Reload Speed)
