Well, when you had such insiders like Yzak, it makes sense that the Clyne Faction could possibly have enough people in high enough places to steal data on the new tech. Rau was able to sneak the data for improved MS tech to Azrael for the creation of the CPU trio's Gundams (the way he sent off the N-Jammer Canceller data through Flay was more high-profile and not his smartest plan), so what's not to say Lacus had people in similarly high positions that could do the same. I am leaning towards the latter considering that trio of Gundams that got stolen at the start of SEED Destiny that Lacus wasn't involved with. Frankly it's amazing their opposition doesn't just steal all of ZAFT's mobile suits instead of trying to blow them up.
I bet it went something like: Engineer A: So how many guns should we put on the Strike Freedom? Engineer B: Yes... Engineer A: You know they're not going to all fit, right? Engineer B: That's what the METEOR's are for...
lets be honest, the meteor is a streamlined gp03. and the best auxiliary system in the franchise alongside it. it looks sleek, looks powerful and even without seeing it with its missile doors open you can see how much more powerfull the machines become after docking to it. now compare it to the gn arms, and their cofin design. or the falcon from X. one looks like a joke, and the other looks like it doesnt really do anything for it.
Wait there's CWIS guns on the Infinite Justice's chest? I've got the HG and I never realized that! In other thoughts, I don't think Lacus is a evil Mastermind. I now think she's a Kleptomaniac, because dang she stole a lot of stuff. We need a side story that's just the antics of master thief Lacus Clyne, pulling a casino heist or something.
Sooo.... Lacus employs a squad of Blood Ravens space marines. That's now my canon on how she constantly just walks into Zaft armories and walks out with their top secret super mechs and spaceships
This video was randomly showed in my recommendations. But it was worth it. I get to reminisce this awesome series. Even though I’m a Freedom/Strike Freedom dude, I will never forget how Athrun’s infinite Justice one-shotted the Destiny with a kick. Lmao. Kira and Athrun together were truly unstoppable
I must say it's really cool seeing the technical details of the SEED units. I feel like Seed and its sequel displayed alot but didn't go too much into detail on the technology on the suits themselves. It's interesting to see this kind of matter explained
i always felt like the opposite, it showed us the progression of the tech, and the behind the scenes. compare it to 00 which we only see it refueling once during the early parts of the first series, and then we hear how the twin drives have exponential more power, but the machine doesnt really act like its that much more powerfull than its sister units. when it comes to the freedom and justice, not only do you look at it and notice at first glance how much more powerfull it is compared to the strike, the tech feels far more important to the story, with the batteries always being an issue earlier on, and the canceller being shown how much more power it brings to the table. also, the best part is, we see the natural progression, you can see where the freedom weaponry and the justice fatum came from, long before those units became a thing. and we always hear about how impactful the inability to use nuclear power is for the suits.
It's not that the Klein faction stole the plans they actually stole the scientist that were working on it aka the scientist deffected to the Kleint's faction
All of them literally join the Terminal, so it's very likely SF and IJ really tailored for Kira and Athrun because their development team are Lacus' agents.

The names that the strike freedom and infinite justice do sound superior, I still love the used names because it made me think an individual must strike their ideal freedom without causing problems, and a society must give an infinite and indifferent justice to all. they kinda were, the wing was a dedicated hit and run, long range unit, with the deathscythe being a dedicated assassination, close quarters combat. its just that the series never took the idea to its natural conclusion. if you look at them tactically, its very clear that they were meant to be used together, the wing would draw atention, and shoot down things from afar, while the DS would come close from behind and take down important targets.

The guy who made Freedom and Justice be like: (Listens Colors by FLOW) well, I'm loyal to the Clynes so I'm helping her. Lacus: uh Albert, your Geass is showing.
It surprised me how much Lacus actually matured over the series. It was obvious from the beginning that she was highly intelligent, but she was also extremely naive. It took awhile for her to gain enough experience to become worldly and put her intelligence to work where it belonged and could do the most good for the world and everyone in it. When she took everything of value and escaped and allied herself with ORB, which she knew was on the correct path, She managed to turn everything around with the help of Athrun and Kira and everyone else that was once enemies and changed the world view to willingly follow her.
that's the best part, SHE DIDNT. she always played herself as the oblivious little princess. but go back and watch her first showing, she was "bumbling around" a military ship as a PoW. and she made everyone think she was harmless. she could literaly sabotage the entire ship if she wanted and noone would be able to do anything, or even know.

"Knight Justice" imo sounds way cooler. I won't mind "Infinite Justice" though if the Strike Freedom was called the "Eternal Freedom" instead. (y'know to keep it thematic) Super Freedom sounds cliche; Strike Freedom isn't bad, but "Sky Freedom" or "Soaring Freedom" would have sounded way better.
@@echos5823 The reason the Strike Freedom is not the 'Super Freedom' is because, in Japan there was once a notorious rape gang called 'Super Free.' With Gundam's SEED's creators having seen the possible negative impact by mere association to the name promoting a rape gang, they decided to change it & honor the Strike Gundam. If it were the Super Freedom, Jesus Yamato would have been #metoo'd & cancelled.
The name, "Super Freedom Gundam" for an upgraded Freedom Gundam makes sense from a real world standpoint, and mirrors real-world aircraft nomenclature. For example, the F/A-18E Super Hornet is an upgraded version of the F/A-18 Hornet. By the same token, the name "Strike Freedom Gundam" also mirrors real-world nomenclature, one example being the F-15E Strike Eagle, an updated variant of the F-15 Eagle. As for the name "Knight Justice Gundam," I guess that was later reused for Build Divers Re:Rise.
The Strike Freedom was originally called the "Super Freedom" but the name was later changed, and some fans speculated it was due to the Super Free incidence in 2003.
@@soramikami4383 I would think it appropriate to have them initially monoeyed just like how the Gundam Mk II was originally black. They would be changed when they switch factions as an "upgrade".
i still defend that they should start with monoeyes, and the strike would lose its head, possibly during the rescue pod fight, and then be given a modified strike, or astray head. that would been perfect. and the sadest part is, zaft has some of the coolest monoeyes.
I think one edge the S Freedom and I Justice had over the Destiny was that they had more armament options that didn't require the hands/manipulators to operate. So far as I recall, all the Destiny's weapons, including it's back mounted folding beam canon required the aid of the hands to aim and handle. Simply put, a de-limbed/un-handed Destiny may still be speedy, but it is severely reduced in effectiveness, even with just one arm missing.
I think when someone design destiny (in Bandai headquarters or zaft design team), they took the best part of impulse upgrade power system, but forgetting impulse armaments are interchangeable system. And they remember and re design it in destiny impulse
As I remember when reading the Gundam Seed manga, Freedom is a mobile suit that was built for long-term combat purposes, a mobile suit that can fight for a long time period on the battlefield without worries about supplies, because of that, various types of weapons were implanted in Freedom and nuclear fusion as a source of its energy. so that in battle freedom can always be ready to fight without thinking about the supply of fuel and ammunition.
that's why it makes sense for it to only carry beam weaponry. its meant to be a suit that doesnt refuel, its kinda hard to do that with missiles and other physical artilhery. even then they had a rail gun which accelerates tinny pieces of metal at high speed, so it can carry ALOT of ammo. finally, its a dedicated mid to long range suit, only carrying minimal close combat tools, as the justice is the opposite, being designed to defend the freedom from any wannabe striker. its the best paired sister units in the franchise. and we see it not just in their designs but also in their synergy. compare it to other pairs like the heavyarms and sandrock or the wing and deathscythe. units that would work amazingly well together, but barely do so. or the heavyarms from wish and the "we have wing at home" from X. they do pair well, but still feel like its missing something because one is a hit and run and the other is a long ranger... both missing a third close range striker to either pull agro or to defend a position for them to do their jobs...
Looking forward for an updated version Seed Freedom movie to cover the Rising Freedom, Inmortal Justice, as well as the (Mighty) Strike Freedom Type II and Infinite Justice Type II. *W*
It’s like the two Gundams were specifically made for 2.5D Bullet Hell Shoot em up arcade that guzzles quarters down faster than the average lifespan of a GINN facing both of them at once. It’s all there. Freedom’s a wide-shot type with firepower covering the screen. Justice is the straight-shot type with more focused damage on single targets. Both have a melee weapon that’ll erase bullets, a unique backpack gimmick that can act as their Bomb attack, and both have access to a major power-up that is the METEOR units. Most important of all, both of them actually do have the firepower and the juice to sustain them long enough to get away with wiping out the entirety of a military force all by themselves provide their pilots are that good at not getting hit.
you know what's hilarious? real story, the reason i started watching SEED was because i saw the moebius zero in the first episode and it looked straight up like a fighter from something like r-type or raiden. its design was something you know you would see in a shmup. and it instantly hooked me up. my favorite design in the franchise, up until i saw the freedom.
The only fact I know about Strike Freedom(I don't know if it's confirmed or what) is that it is the only machine in the series that did not sustain any damage.
It didn't. It got hit by the Legend at one point, but blocked with beam shields and went off-balance in the atmosphere and was about to be shot in the back by the Destiny(probably would've dodged anyways but whatever). That was the closest it got to "being hit". Also didn't lose a single DRAGOON.
one thing i never understood was back when 00 was made, and they were talking about how more organic and sleek they wanted the design to be... but in truth the freedom and justice(without the fatum) are some of the sleekest designs they have ever done. the freedom has more built in weapons than most other gundams, and yet, when its standing still it has a silhouette that is instantly recognizable even though its technically a design borrowed from the DX.
@@matteste Honestly, it's more the extreme plot armor Kira himself has that makes the (Strike) Freedom appear so OP, similar to Heero and the Wing Gundam Zero, coupled with the more super robot style action their series' tend to engage in as opposed to "real robot". When looking at the mobile suit's actual power and such, they're pretty equivalent to late Universal Century Gundams like the F91 and Victory 2. A real Mary Sue Gundam would be more the Unicorn Gundam or Turn A Gundam, lol.
@@HalfDemonInuyasha Mary Sue is more than plot armor. It is also that the character is blatantly favored by the narrative, plot armor is just one part of it. Being portrayed as some superior moral pillar is another common sign, a character shown to be without flaws and always shown as morally right, regardless whether their virtue actually makes sense. Basically, the Mary Sue is virtuous cause the story says so, not cause they actually show it or earn it. And any character that question said virtue are shown to either be wrong or evil. Mary sue's are also magnets for other characters to get jealous at as they are so good at everything, that others just want what the Mary Sue has. Another common trait tends to be that they are overly special, that they have things that no one else in the story has or can compete against. Even their clothing, or in this case the Machine, are often made to stand out and be overly designed again to make them special. There is a lot that goes into a Mary Sue, and it just so happen that Kira alongside Lacus and their machines tick all the boxes.
It's like a running gag at one point. I'm pretty sure that none of the gundam suits in all of Seed and Destiny stayed with the respective people who created them. Do they got wheel locks for gundams or something, cause sure seems easy to steal them.
@@andrewowens4421 Not true. One unit the ORB 01 Akatsuki remained within Orb forces for its entire appearance on the show.

I think your going to be updating this in a few months.😊

I think one edge the S Freedom and I Justice had over the Destiny was that they had more armament options that didn't require the hands/manipulators to operate. So far as I recall, all the Destiny's weapons, including it's back mounted folding beam canon required the aid of the hands to aim and handle. Simply put, a de-limbed/un-handed Destiny may still be speedy, but it is severely reduced in effectiveness, even with just one arm missing.
exactly! after a close combat with IJ (beam sword everywhere on body), Destiny quickly lost the ability to fight because Athrun has cut arms of it.
I think when someone design destiny (in Bandai headquarters or zaft design team), they took the best part of impulse upgrade power system, but forgetting impulse armaments are interchangeable system. And they remember and re design it in destiny impulse
PERFECT TIMING!!!!!!! Im at Ep 39 in my Rewatch of Seed while I'm building a Clean Color Freedom and a simi painted build of an Impulse Blanche.

Honestly, it's more the extreme plot armor Kira himself has that makes the (Strike) Freedom appear so OP, similar to Heero and the Wing Gundam Zero, coupled with the more super robot style action their series' tend to engage in as opposed to "real robot".
