- The Nintendo Switch has been out for over 5 years and I realized that the Joy Con Grip is hardly ever talked about despite being included with every Switch and Switch OLED system. Today I'll be reviewing the accessory and determine if it's worth using over other controllers, like the Pro Controller!

I've had conversations about the joycon grip before and it's under apreasciated, yet this causes it to also the perfect topic for a video!

I've been using a joy con grip for a year, switched to a pro controller and I think I may have preferred using the joy con grip? I have small hands and like the clicky buttons and overall lighter weight, and smaller analogue sticks kind of work out better for switching directions quickly.
But I just got a pro controller today so maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it.
Honestly that's how I felt when I started using the Pro Controller. It does take time getting used to 👍
This is a really cool review!! I don't have the money for getting a pro controller and the joy con grip is still very comfortable and perfectly fine in my hands so I'd rather save and spend the money on new games!!

I actually use the grip 99% of the time when using Docked, I don't have a Pro Controller yet so.. its perfect

That is an impressive review on the grip. But I agree when you're playing switch use a pro controller
I prefer pro controller but I do not prefer the offbrand ones as they feel cheap. I can't justify paying 70 dollars for a slightly more comfortable experience, so I just use this or the separated joycons usually. I might 3d print a better shaped one though.
have a switch lite so I use the charge grip as a necessary way to charge the joycons without a big switch
Ah that makes sense
The charging grip isn't necessary though, they have a 20 hour battery life and constantly recharge while connected to the console

Hey weird question but can you use this for the Nintendo switch online games? Playing the classic Mario games with a joycon is hard I would prefer a D pad 😁

It depends on the game you are playing. Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee are games that only require 1 Joy Con.
Is there a bowling game that can use only one Joycon?
@@nealwatts9602 Yeah, Clubhouse Games 51 Worldwide Classics. It has bowling and other games like Checkers, Chess, Fishing, etc.
Tons! NES and Super NES games, Mariokart, Switch Sports, Clubhouse Games, Odyssey, NSMBU Deluxe, NSLU, and a lot more due to the limited button usage on the simpler Switch games!
My fave part is that it stands up vertically on a table.

No not really, at least I never noticed them for it to be a problem
Mine is covered in scratches from bumping it off the ledge so much

I hate the joycons and this grip doesn’t change that. The funniest part is that the grip itself is really uncomfortable.
