Hello DiagnoseDan, Fantastic video! So lucky for owner to find you. Many times "theft" modules are buried so far in the I/P or other it takes 10-20hrs to get to it!
Gateway was my first thought as soon as I saw the whole car being dead - but I've spent a lot of time around VW / Audi products :) On some keyless ignition VWs you can wake up the gateway and CCM/BCM by putting your foot on your brake for 30 seconds, without turning the key on. I also found that on some VW products, if you leave the 12v unhooked for a long time, and unhook all of the door harnesses, when you hook the battery back up you can push the start button to turn the ignition on without the key - and actually can't turn it off! You have to unhook 12v, and hook it back up again to resume normal operation.

you are a top technician and your videos are highly informative and entertaining and shows how complex car electronics have become!
Thanks Mark
that's pure talent and experience. learned a lot. who thought vehicles now have fiber optics in them.
Dan, I am not a mechanic, just try to repair my own vehicle when it breaks down. You are one talented guy, are you based in the UK? Every mechanic in the world should be subscribing to your channel
He don’t sound British so I guess his not.
My old foreman told me this ! “Faults find faults in fault finders” and it’s true excellent logical process
He's right!
Brilliant fault finding Dan....and explained so so well. Thanks buddy, keep them coming👍
Ita been a long time since I saw a video that taught me something substantial. Great work. I am thoroughly impressed.
Thats great!!
This guy seems like a wizard to me.
Dan, your videos are brilliant. Well paced and clearly methodical and simply explained. You are the best diagnostician going by far
Thank you
Hey Dan,
Love your videos, keep up the good work!
Why did the mechanical key did'nt work ??🤔
Dan, you, Ivan and Eric O need to get together and do a comprehensive diagnosis on some flooded vehicles just for kicks and see each others thought processes. See who could diagnose each car in the shortest amount of time. Another great video, thanks from across the pond.
Maybe one Day..........😉
Great video, I love your logical thinking. I would have loved to see how you programmed the new module.
Awesome work. Methodical, logical and structured diagnosis. A true professional not just a ‘swap it and hope’ merchant. Full respect for your skills. 💪🏻
Thanks!!
Superb... skill, patience, quality tools and knowing how to all get these attributes working together... amazing.....
Thanks!
I have to say that I instantly thought that it would be something to do with the immobiliser module since everything was unresponsive. Good logical diagnosis Dan
Thanks Matthew
Very much enjoyed the video, but even more happy to see you chipper and smiling.
😀👍
This was probably the comfortmodule from the criminals. Great video

Thats great to hear!!!
How in the world is it even possible to be so knowledgeable about all cars and fix anything. what planet is Dan from.
Earth ......🤣🤣
@@Diagnosedan Ha Aha, nice try :-)
Just saw this Dan, absolutely brilliant diagnosis
Another excellent video and diagnosis by Diagno sedan. He diagnos all the sedans and sometimes even coupes and SUVs but we don't talk about those.
🤣🤣 that's epic!
Hello dan , a dead car in vag group is the worst fault to diagnose, thanks a lot for this informations , you are the best 😊
I love how important electrical diagnosing equipment is to diagnosing a car. We can do it we just need the right equipment!
And information and knowledge
Even with the best equipment a guy like me would not have been able to fix it. Knowledge is the ultimate tool. I take my hat off to Dan.
Hello DiagnoseDan,
Fantastic video! So lucky for owner to find you. Many times "theft" modules are buried so far in the I/P or other it takes 10-20hrs to get to it!
Thanks for watching!
Very methodical and impressive work as usual. I wish we had such great people where I live.
Thanks for the great comment
Dan Never ceases to impress me . Thank you
Wow man a trick one at the beginning was expecting the issue related with the immobilizer but then I was clueless on what was the next step great job.
Thanks for the comment!
Hi Dan. You definitely are one of the best with diagnosing vehicles furthermore I really enjoy watching your videos of knowledge.
Gateway was my first thought as soon as I saw the whole car being dead - but I've spent a lot of time around VW / Audi products :)
On some keyless ignition VWs you can wake up the gateway and CCM/BCM by putting your foot on your brake for 30 seconds, without turning the key on.

Great video Dan, the gun shot at the start scared the shit out of me!
Love your posts Dan you tackle the jobs others hide from, you certainly deserve the title diagnose Dan
Thanks John
What an engineer, you are the best.
I like the heavy music as you plug stuff in. Your a good explainer.
Thanks!!!!
Hi, I'm watching your video two years after, but it's still good as new.
"If you were in this situation what would you do?" - Take it to Diagnose Dan - If he can't fix it, nobody can! GREAT WORK MATE!
