I got a job at Alta one season, skied six days a week. At the end I was rated, (expert, expert) and could ski anything. I could find untracked powder seven days after the last storm. The thing is, when your there for a week, talk to some of the lodge employees, for a price they will guide you to one of these spots. I think we got 50 bucks for the service in 1980. Good luck.
