Saying that Celtics "were much better than the East" is crazy. We just didn't see it. Butler Injured Heat. Mitchell injured Cavs. Taliburton hurt Pacers
and no Giannis Bucks, Embiid Sixers nor the biggest threat of all, a healthy Knicks team.
MAYBE they would've destroyed everybody... but we don't know. They indeed lost games against the freaking Cavs that barely beat Orlando Magic and the Heat, which were super trashy, and the Pacers games were all close when on paper, the talent balance was so tilted in Bostons favor.

This is pure luck and this year is an example, as they were hurt and defeated a mid Lakers team, but couldn't versus the healthier Wolves.
Celtics at least did suffer their own injury (Porzingis), but they faced even more injured teams

Steph and klay have a record of 473-193 when the two of them play, best shooting duo of all time. Have broken multiple records together, what good is talent when it doesn’t amount to anything. Kyrie and Luka only been together for about 2 seasons, who cares how skilled the two of them are compared to Steph and Klay when it doesn’t win them anything. Klay and Steph have 4 rings in 6 years, have been to the finals 5 years in a row. Swept the Cavs one year and beat them in 5 the next year. What other current duo has come close to that?

The quote about being the best backcourt was about skill on offense not accomplishments. As great as Steph and Klay were they are not Luka and Kyrie. Not even close. Curry is a very skilled passer.Also screening and thing like that attributes to play making, curry being chased around the court with teams trynna double him or trynna stop him at half court is play making in itself. It allows for his teammates to get easier shot looks and more space. People just look at curry for how good he is at shooting and take away all the other things he’s good at to uplift someone else. Curry can make any pass that Luka and Kyrie can make but that’s not how the warriors play which is why warriors are so successful

They were the only team with 60 wins this year and if they swing the ball that team beats every team. He was 2-17 on open shots in those two games, I think he just simply missed shots. I seen multiple times where he got separation from white or Tatum in those games on midrange jumpers and just missed. The player that really effected him was Porzingis to be honest, now that he isn’t playing its just a walk to the rim for him. Its not a coincidence. Games 1 and 2 is Porzingis and him missing his regular routine shots.

The issue with how the media looked at the series prior to the start of it was the classic…what team has the bigger star? Oh. The mavs? They’ll win.

In my humble opinion. Any team with a dominant big man and good role players beat Boston ie (AD, Joker, Giannis, Embiid). Dont get me wrong, boston is a great team. These playoffs have been about matchups, nuggets were a bad matchup for lakers wolves bad for nuggets etc etc
