- Terraria's most cruel achievements: No, not the fishing quest, but rather a new one, named "And Good Riddance!". It requires you to purify the whole world: No trace of Corruption allowed, not a single block of Hallow nor Crimson must exist on your world... or is it? Does a single block of Ebonstone truly ruin your achievement?

in a parallel universe you'd have to infect everything and dryad would still find that stupid 1% of a normal world
That's actually an achievement on PlayStation
that 1% of a normal world would get corrupted tho, so you would just have to wait, unless its like a few stone blocks in a granite biome

Since I often use corrupted blocks and walls for my builds, the amount of unwanted corruption/Crimson biomes I made and had to excavate in order to keep my world clean is maybe why she never came back to her house...
If she at least gave you an idea of where the last parts of corruption are... If she is so close to nature, she can surely locate where the evil is ...
I don't have the problem with curruption. I use TEDIT and make the world how I want. Then I copy it and edit the copy manually and BAM! I get the perfect world

Easy way is to use a fast firing bow and Jester arrows to light up the world and see any corruption, caves, and goodies
Or if you have the money, go blasting the Clentaminator everywhere, but beware of hidden caves
There's usually never enough blocks gathered in one place that the Clentaminator can't reach through
Also, autocorrect says Clentaminator is a real word

for this achievement I used tedit because I literally couldn't find any corruption blocks
If you're making a new world for the achievement, it would be probably cheaper to mine out the Corruption than to cleanse it. Less chance of missing a block too.

personally i think the dryad should somehow have something that lets you find where the last bit of corruption is. but in any case you can always leave your game on overnight to let the corruption spread a bit making it easier to find
I recently was purifying my whole world from corruption and hallow. It took me many hours, and i could do this only because i was from time to time analyzing my map in TEedit. No, i was not using it to change even a single block, i was basically searching for blocks that were infected.
The last block i had, was a block that i my self put there... I was looking for it for too long.
When i finally purified it, dried told me that there is still corruption. After loading the world again, i got the achievement.
So yea, if you are not sure if you did everything right, it's a good idea to save and quit from time to time.
I think the dryad should tell the player when the percentage is less than 1%, like, say, 0,9 to 0,1%. That would be enough precision. But I also don't like how we give our lives to that shit just to know at the end that the dryad won't give you or even sell you anyting like a prize for that or something. DISGUSTING, REDIGIT, DISGUSTING.
Before hard mode I spoke to the Driad and she said “Good job! You have rid **Insert name here** of Crimson!” And then I walked like 2 seconds to the left and I found the crimson biome 😂 I did get the achievement tho.
Horrible achievement. I could probably make eight zeniths in less time than finding the single corrupt/crimson block that's ruining a world.
What if this achievement + we dont talk about a certain fishing achievement combined and we purified fish?

how did you use mod to get achievement, whenever i tried completing achievements on tmod loader they wouldn't count for my normal terraria, in the end i used Tedit to finish the cleansing
you could do it another way. it involves $5b of explosives.

It’s 1/20000000 in a large world, or about 0.000000005. (Maybe too many 0s or too little, but less then 0.0005)
