Sansa isn’t brainwashed. Carter said it right: she’s trying to be safe. The walls have ears in kings landing, she doesn’t want to get caught saying the wrong thing to the wrong person. That’s all it is. She’s definitely not brainwashed. She learning how to lie and act and basically she’s learning how to play the game

This was accomplished a lot better in the books; she even had a hand in her own escape plan in the book. She was much more active rather than passive. But she is starting to learn in s3 which was nice.

Yes, it would be ridiculous for her to leave with Joffrey's dog and travel with him alone. They really don't understand how women think and what they need to do to keep safe, especially back then.
I don't blame her for not going, at the same time it was either that or being in Joffrey's vicinity, so....
@@TylerClear right..but how was she suppose to know she wasn't being tested by the Lannisters regarding her loyalty? The Hound has only served the Lannisters so far. And at that point, Cersei was ready to feed her son poison since Stannis seemed to have a chance of winning which would also benefit Sansa since stannis and ned supported each other. Personally, i wouldn't have gone either. At that point, the hound doesn't seem like someone you would trust and leave with. Joffrey does torture her but she's also garanteed survival as a bargain with Robb.

Sansa is not dumb! She's learning from Cierse and now Margery. She's been learning how to play the "Game of Thrones" you have to remember, Sansa is a child, she's 14 years old. She's doing and saying anything she has to in order to stay alive and survive Joffrey

She’s pretty dumb, she makes dumber decisions than Arya who is younger.
“Survive Joffrey” the guy she chose and stood by when clear signs were there? Signs clear enough for Arya and everyone else to pick up on, but she gets a pass? I’m sick of the Sansa simping, in the show at least, she’s a stupid little girl who constantly makes the wrong choice, time and time again.
Nah Sansa is a moron lets be honest. And she'll be even worse by the end of the show.
Carter I am super impressed with how you notice how much depth there is to Theon. You actually called that out earlier in the season. And you’re absolutely right. Excited to see you see where that story goes
I think Alfie Allen gives one of the best performances in the show. Not an easy character to portray.

The mysteries in the show are absolutely off the hook, i couldn't stop binging it because i had to get to the bottom of each and every mystery, but all of them just kept getting more and more complex, more and more cryptic and ever more confusing the the more i learned... all of it made me crave the answers that endlessly continued to elude me. it was addicting, but in a good way.
and more so the characters are all fully realized; all of them have So much depth. And the glorious CHEMistry between literally All of the actors and between all of the characters, and i Do mean ALL, like when two characters are in a room, pick ANY two characters, there literally isn't a single instance of bad chemistry throughout the whole cast. literally no weak links, not even among the bit players. it's impeccable tbh.

The writers admitted that the final scene with Sam and the White Walkers was poorly shot and therefore quite misleading. The White Walker chief was NOT actually looking at Sam, he couldn't see him. Everyone thought that, but it turns out it was just poorly edited.
Regarding the last two seasons - while many people were indeed disappointed, it is nonetheless universally acknowledged that the sets, costumes, CGI & VFX, music etc were even more epic than anything that came before. The soundtrack is beyond compare. While you may not find the final seasons to be as good as what came before, it is still very much worthwhile watching.
p.s. Watch Histories & Lore. It will add _so_ much to your enjoyment of the show. Yes, yes, I've heard the reasons why not, but they just don't stand up. You're Watching GoT and it contains more HotD spoilers than Histories & Lore do. But as with GoT, you will be alerted to any potential spoilers before you watch. You are missing out _so_ much by not watching Histories and Lore - to use an apposite saying; You're cutting off your nose to spite your face!
The only problem with the last two seasons is the writing. And perhaps the overly darkened battle on S8. All others are still topnotch.

Really small thing you guys missed at the beginning, when Pycel tossed Tyrion the coin and said "for your trouble" It was a call back and a shot at Tyrion for when he broke into Pycels room and cut his beard off etc. Because when they left he gave the wh*re that was with Pycel a coin and said "For your trouble" just a fun little piece of great writing!
I wouldn't necessarily call that great writing, but clever? Sure.

@@RP-zj8ro great writing was introducing Ned by executing someone, only to have him executed in the same way with the same sword. Great writing was the conversation between Robert and Cersei over Lyanna's ghost. Great writing was Petyr giving his "chaos is a ladder" speech. Daenerys freeing the Unsullied by tricking Kraznys into believing she couldn't understand him was great writing. Callbacks aren't great writing. Anyone with half a brain can write decent callbacks. Sure, callbacks are fun, but they are purely fan service. You're allowed to get excited when they happen, but let's not place callbacks in the same category as compelling storytelling.
Yes it's a call back but a weird one because pycelle was already dragged out of the room when Tyrion told the girl that so there's really no way Pycelle would have heard that.
@@bigredcrazyk well he didnt call it compelling storytelling. He called it great writing, which it is. All prose and dialogue are also part of writing and this one was interesting, implied that Pycelle was still in understanding of Tyrion and his doings. I dont think you get to tell other people what great writing is to them. Great is after all an adjective, what is great to you means absolutely nothing to me.

Lord Baelish is the one that betrayed her father (she doesn't know yes) but I wouldn't call her dumb for putting a façade in front of him. The walls have ears in King's Landing (literally). She was scared and did what she thought would be best and most strategic to survive.

Sansa is not stupid. She may be naive but she was raised up that way by Ned and Catelyn. She was very sheltered. She is trying to survive by lying and pretending she still loves Joffrey. She can’t be rebellious in a place where she is held as a hostage, and when her family is in open rebellion with the crown. She didn’t leave because just before going to her room, she heard that Stannis entered the gates, which meant he was almost guaranteed to win. Plus, how could she trust the Hound when everyone around her is using her ? Yes, she made a mistake by not leaving, but she is just a girl who has been raised as what a proper lady should be. Her whole story is about challenging the noble aspect of honor and knighthood, as well as the loss of innocence in a deeply unsettling place that is King’s Landing.
Anyway great reaction guys as always, it was a good move to create a second channel for non-anime shows.
tbh it really shouldn't be that hard to understand her character
I will never understand how common it is for people to misinterpret her actions as anything but resourceful. she’s playing the long-game, with zero (authentic) allies on her side and a whole lot of personal stakes. of course she’s not going to run off with the highly identifiable, unhinged and unpredictably violent guard-nor will she let the opportunist, freak who betrayed her father and remains obsessively in love with her mother take advantage of her. she’s better off pretending her way out of suspicions
Sansa is definitely a naive girl with poor judgement for quite a while.
Her choices are even more painful in the books when you're in her head as she's evaluating situations, forming opinions, and making decisions. She's the least clever POV character - male or female - through book 5.
She even admits in the 7th season that she is a slow learner.
But she _does_ eventually grow and learn from her experiences.
The Last Kingdom, Vikings, Black Sails, From, The Strain - AMAZING shows hopefully you might watch in the future!!

Guys, they dont need the bridge to go back to Winterfell. They can use the land around it (or use ships) but it takes way longer (and they would need many ships) and when they made the deal they needed to cross it fastly because Ned was in danger. They also wanted the Frey men to fight beside them.
Anyways, happy new channel!
They needed to cross the bridge in order to keep making their way south. The river Trident splits the north from the river lands. House Frey controls the river crossing
@@anissamedina24 You can go straight from Winterfell to King's Landing on the Kingsroad. They needed to cross the Frey's bridge to get to Riverrun, which was under attack by Jaime. We see the aftermath of the battle with Jaime captured by Robb. The original poster is correct, there are other routes through the Riverlands that avoids the Twins, but Robb was in a hurry and needed to get to Riverrun as soon as possible.
I think The Last Kingdom or Viking are two good shows to watch after finishing Got, both have good plots and characters.
Black Sails clears both. Even if unrelated.

in my opinion Daenerys demanding things from people isn't because she lacks humility or that she thought everyone should serve her. I think it's a front. That girl has been controlled by her brother all her life, used as a bartering piece, and when she thought that she had a control over her life she lost her baby and husband, wandering in the desert starving... she's scared, she's angry, and hopeless, she's got nothing but threats that everyone knows is empty. She doesn't know how to rule because she's never meant to rule, she's got no role model except for his terrible brother

S2 does quite a bit of damage to Danys character. Idk why they characterize her as a brat in the show when in the book she goes to great lengths for the slightest chance at being heard. She offers gifts and tribute, pleads, not demands. I mean she still is very much persistent, almost annoyingly so, but it’s a lot more understandable because she is desperate.
if y’all reacted to the last kingdom i would literally be content in life. it’s a badass viking show but the emotional impact of that series is right there with the greats of all tv.
Dani does not overestimate herself. She has no other option but to believe in her abilities implicitly, otherwise she's dead, or worse.

HOTD starts in almost a month. HBO has been putting out teasers and almost daily. And a new trailer. They even started their own “reaction videos”. With the actors reacting to scenes in season 1. If you can fit it in your timeline they are done really great scenes. It would be something fun for you guys to react to right before the new season.

Dude… Sansa does not have the same knowledge of these characters as the audience of the show. She doesn’t know who she can trust cuz she has seen anyone who had showed her “kindness” before have been fake so for her it’s better the devil u know rather than the devil u don’t. She is 14 and alone in the snake pit with no she knows that is on her side for sure

Same here! Well, not quite the same... while I watch and enjoy HotD, it doesn't thrill me to the extent that GoT does, because it seems like a soap opera about one extended family that happens almost exclusively in King's Landing and Dragonstone.

@@noneofyourbeeswax01 but they're concern about getting spoilers for upcoming shows. Still hoping they watch it. All shows cut down lot of stuff. H&L could really enhance their knowledge of asoiaf if they're not reading the books.
@@saturn7947 There are more HotD spoilers in GoT but they're watching it all the same! In any case, they would be alerted to any potential spoilers. Also, from what I recall of their reasoning, they aren't watching H&L because it may contain potential spoilers for spin-off shows they hope to watch that haven't even been greenlit yet! Frankly, it seems a shame to me that they refuse to watch something that will _definitely_ enhance their viewing pleasure simply because of fears that will probably never arise. Of course it's their call to make - It's not even that I want to see them watch H&L as much as I want them to get as much enjoyment and comprehension from the show as they can.

Action Jackson: the Frey bridge actually wasn’t the only way they could travel. It’s just they had a specific target in mind and they needed that bridge in order to get there quick enough. Going another way would have taken too long and they would have lost whatever advantage they had. It’s explained in the books. You would really like the books. There’s so much detail that explains everything

The dead on horses are White Walkers. The regular dead are wights. It is estimated that there are 1000 White Walkers, who each lead around 100 wights. The NIGHT KING leads all of the White Walkers.
😂One of my fave scenes is the Dothraki taking that golden peacock 🦚 as they loot Qarth, the same guy tried to steal that same peacock in an earlier episode and Dany chided him and told him to put it back.

Yeah the magic in the world was "awakened" once again when Dany inadvertently made that "fire and blood" ritual to hatch the dragons. That's why the white walkers are starting to be active again, their magic is stronger now.
The White Walkers had awoken long before Dany gained her dragons. They were seen at the very start of Season one.

@@noneofyourbeeswax01Nah. White Walkers have glowing blue iced eyes. The ones who came from actual rituals from COTF. WW control the wights/army of the dead, which what you have seen in Ep 1.
