Dad use to say not to train until you get it right, but rather, train till you forget how to get it wrong. He understood that was extreme but it is good mentality to assure fewer mistakes are made in whatever you are training to do.
Well said sir. That’s military level training advice, you’re sharing. In the Marines they trained us for days, hours at a time, in every position you can imagine, before getting to shoot. If you carry, a few minutes everyday should be devoted to improving your draw sequence. SF
I love the phrase you use. "Do what supports the outcome you desire ". That phrase speaks volumes to me. A person can apply that to any aspect of there lives. You are awesome keep up the good work.
I bought dummy Rounds bc of something you said in an older episode. Helps me practice. I've spent time on range practicing what you preach. Ultimately to be on the range in one of your classes. Hope to make it top the October class in Illinois 🤙
Hey Mickey I'm Mikey. I kept thinking about developing systems and your demonstration of deliberate loading and readying of the handgun, and I came back to this video to ask how to best go about putting one in the chamber and topping off the magazine. Would you chamber, drop mag, holster, top off, then unholster again to install magazine? I'd love to see how you approach that. Thanks the for videos, very high quality and very beneficial.
I figure I can apply the same rules of practice that I learned in symphonic band to concealed carry practice. Practicing incorrectly is worse than not practicing at all. That’s not strictly literal, but it’s a great reminder to take it slow at first. Practice your hand and finger placement on the gun slowly and meticulously before trying to whip is out of the holster at the highest speed you can. Practice your draw slowly and meticulously. Same with your loading and unloading. These things should become muscle memory BEFORE you work on speed.
I assume you are running a Vedder with your PX4. Mine seems to be a little overdone, for the sake of symmetry. They need to delete the channel on the side away from the body that is for the decocking lever. It is just creating extra bulk at the belt. The lever doesn't interface with the holster on that side. Do you agree? Am I missing some functionality?
hey so ive been watching your videos trying to identify my own areas of improvement, I am a bigger dude 6'5 about 235-240 with a bit of a beer gut, but I notice I have a hard time getting my master grip when I first touch my firearm to draw. Should I incorporate some kind of awkward body angle to get that mastergrip or should I invest in some other holsters? It seems as though the gun is almost too tight to my body so I end up readjusting after I draw. Any tips?
It seems funny to me that most people don't have a very bright flashlight as at least one of their first lines of Defense. But they're on their firearm or not.
Fudds? And what have you done lately? The fudd was Trump, when he said, "Take their guns and worry about due process later." You should have seen Pilosi's face light up! He ran on the promise of protecting gun owners. At the NRA meeting, he was pumping his fist in the air, shouting, "2A, 2A, 2A!" Then flips and wants Red Flag laws. Any Red Flag law is unconstitutional. We already have laws in place. I just heard on Fox News today that 99% of Dems want it but what shocked me was that 89% of Repub are for it, too. When a crazy neighbor calls police on you just cuz he can, it's no different than Nazi Germany...neighbors and children turning in their own parents. Unless, they're very careful to take out anything in the Bill that would infringe on law-abiding citizens and/or no pre-existing mental issues.... I don't know, "it's a can of worms."
MeanGene what have I done? I’m compiling research to present data to my federal rep. I’m trying to get involved in politics. I’ve written my reps and sens multiple times, handwritten and proofread. I’ve called reps and sens. I’m following the great example my forefathers left me. When you are transgressed, forgive, when you are suppressed, persuade, when you are oppressed, that’s what I fear is next.
Blah, blah, blah, you can have all the training in the world.every situation and scenarios are different.what's so freakin hard to pull the trigger and shoot and move! The only importance,is awareness!STAY ALERT OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AND YOU WILL HAVE THE UPPER HAND!
Someone that at last knows the truth and speaks the truth !
Thanks for doing so!
Thanks for making these! Sharing widely.

Thank you for the video Mick. Thanks to the tactical Professor too whom seemingly influenced this video.
I was thinking about what to put at the end of this video and the Tactical Professor podcast clip seemed like a good match.
Thank you- practice with purpose, practice right, practice well.
Who the hell gives a thumbs down to this?

Terry Somers, keyboard commando’s. The guy that thinks he knows everything but ends up shooting himself in the leg or shoot his dick off
Facts!
Thank you sir. I work in armed security and this is a great tip. Also, nice Beretta PX4 Storm. I had one in 40, but i'm going to get another in 9mm.
The weapon is in one of three places.
1) Holster
2) At the ready
3) Or on target
Another good video always on point.
I agree with this, A lot of your techniques and videos have helped me better my carry techniques. And look forward to this series

Excellent video! Most Excellent Video!
All good advice. We all need to graduate from shooting holes into stationary paper to defensive training.
Liverpool 11 you’re correct. One has to find those type of courses offered through training instructors.
Outstanding. Train, train train and get more training.

Gym, water, steak, veggies
Smart guy. Carries a px4 compact carry, like myself 😂👍
Do you ever come to the Des Moines area?
How many reps would you estimate it takes to achieve automaticity?
Dig the Chicago accent with the self defense training!! I lost my accent years ago.
I have subscribed to your Channel my sister just purchase a revolver first gun can you do one on how to how to handle a revolver
Astonishing I vow
If you carry appendix aren't you inherently pointing the gun at yourself with both the draw and reholstering?
It seems funny to me that most people don't have a very bright flashlight as at least one of their first lines of Defense. But they're on their firearm or not.
Exactamundo!!
We call that muscle memory in the army

How do we get our rights back? The ones fudds let die. I want them back.
We shall share on that. The short answer. Work to get good people into office. Hit just vote, but work
