About the watch:
Today I want to present you a very nice Rolex wristwatch in very well preserved condition.
The watch looks like just left the Factory.
It is very hard to find that solid gold Rolex 9ct in that stunning condition, I present to you one very interesting exemplar of a brand Rolex, one of the biggest makers of the watches in the world, impressive dial, the case is in mirror clean condition, we can date this watch with very good precision, the watch is made in the year 1947, this means that the watch is exactly 72 years old and it is still in very good working condition, just has been serviced by the professional watchmaker and work very accurate. In full winding, the watch works for about 35 - 36 hours.
This watch was wind up over 15 times and it works until completion of the entire course of the mainspring, so I can confirm that watch runs very precise and showed no defects.
This watch looks and works very well, I think that every collector would love to own it, or can be a very good present.
Now I will divide this watch to categories.
The case:
Solid gold case (9 Karats) of this watch is in very clean condition, there are no dents or scratches on the case and cover, for sure there are no serious injuries from dropping or impact.
Very tight and pretty cover, like the watch, just coming out from the factory.
The glass is absolutely no scratches on it and it is a plastic glass what it should be.
On the inside of the cover on a gold case, there are inscriptions " ROLEX" "31 WORLD RECORDS" and
number "9c" shows us the purity of gold, 9 karats.
The crown of this watch is in gold-tone with logo of Rolex, very tight good working order.
The movement:
I can safely say is rarely seen as a well-preserved movement.
This is Rolex calibre 700 manually wound movement, lever escapement,
15 jewels, Rolex Super balance, 18,000 BPH and shock resistance.
The movement is completely cleaned and oiled, it works very good and has been tested for a period of time and shows very good results. The movement is composite of 1 main plate and 3 bridges, one bridge which holds balance wheel, a second one which holds mainspring and third one hold gear wheels they all create the movement of the watch.
To clean it every one part was disassembled, cleaned and oiled, then placed back very precisely.
The watch movement runs fast for about 25 - 35 seconds for every 24 hours which is a very good achievement.
For that time a well-working wristwatch gave a difference of 1 - 2 minutes in 24 hours, as watches have been adjusted every day.
The balance running strong, very good condition.
That movement has 15 Jewels, this means that the movement has 15 precious stones (15 rubies), the stones are on the places where it is large friction in order to protect the metal from abrasion.
Inscriptions on the movement are: "15 Rubis" "ROLEX" "SWISS MADE” "ROLEX PATENTED” "SIZE - 10 ½ - H”.
