Your right brotherman, they are loud, CSX runs close by our home every day & nite!! aaaaaaaa, that allrite we love them..😃😊😀😃👍👍👍
So the whoop sound is the whoop air compressor. It's normally on those big GE ES44ACs. A very iconic sound on GEs.
Great video. Loved seeing all the different runbys. Making me want to change scales from HO to O.
I have a $300K collection of both modern Lionel and MTH. And when I saw your thumbnail for this… I almost had a heart attack. Rule 1 for handling modern models: *NEVER HOLD THEM WITH ONE HAND!*
Amazing video...
Cool
Chris, I'm telling you that you are a real natural in front of the camera, you really understand the elements of communication, even non-verbal communication. You really should be on national television making millions. Those guys that occupy late night host chairs have nothing on you. You're making train collecting 'more cool'. Oh, BTW, running a Katy with two NS diesels, the horror of it all, an unforgiveable sin. I'm dyin' over here!! (That's for Jason). You guys are great (and hilarious). Hey, on a serious note concerning the 1950 773, one in excellent+ condition just sold on ebay for $1,125.00 which I thought was a decent price. There are others on there too but they are either much higher in price or their condition is fair to good. Trainz has one in excellent+ condition on ebay right now for under $2K but if you really look at it, you'll see that it has more crank and arm work linkage than it should. (It looks more like a prewar 700E or the Kuhn 700E reissue of 1991)). It even has the tiny lubricator arm linkage on the engineer's side which only the 700E's has so though it really looks good, those extra linkages were added by someone. I wish I had a train layout so I could participate with you all. I have a fleet, just no place to operate them.
I'm with you Ralph! The thing that impressed me immediately on seeing one of Chris' videos was the broadcast-grade quality. Truly exceptional!
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 yes, his videos look like professional productions.
Thank you Ralph! I do enjoy making these videos. Not sure I would be cut out for the big time, haha! Still very much "guy-in-basement-making-UA-cam-videos" genre. :) I will check out that listing on the 773. You are right, that is a good price! Take care!
I love these freight trains. Especially the NYC Pacemaker!
The JDstucks/RBP Express. AWESOME!!!
It shall ride again!
Whoop whoop indeed to that sound system
I just bought the poler express it is so cool
Congrats!
'Just when I was a lee lab ' classic rbp!
I always enjoy you playing with your O Guage trains😆!!!!!
I love the Santa Fe blue and yellow paint schemes my favorite
WE LOVE N & W. N&S TOO!!👍👍😊
AAH Chris DECISIONS DECISIONS STEAM/DIESEL IT really docent matter we love them all Chris ALL ABOARD ;-)
Harry couldn't handle the Wild Mary at full speed!!!!!!!!!! Fireball Forever!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, he was hanging on for dear life!
Awesome 👌! Great 👍 variety 😀 👍 and informative 👍 👌 😀 👏
🔴WOW FANTASTIC ‼️
Awesome video Chris, I especially enjoyed the NYC Pacemaker because it is so beautiful. Thanks for another great video
Chris, another great & entertaining video! Glad to see Ernest Borgnine was finally able to knock Harry off his train! Also thanks for the opportunity to share our layouts, I've done many Marx customs including one your Army Veranda turbine inspired I hope I can share.
Oh brother, Ernest Borgnine as "Shack" in "Emperor Of The North." Ernie was so terrifying in that role I watched the movie once and never again. Ironic, since Ernest Borgnine was described by those who knew him as one of the nicest men you'd ever meet. Great actor!
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 yes that movie and "Willard" were 2 movies he was in that I only watched once as well! I've seen the Little House episode he was in many times!
Awesome video as always!
loved this and the trians.
Awesomeness!
Love your O scale Train set nice fun i have a HO Train set
Thanks Dan! H O is great. So much you can do with H O!
I have 1 British train and that's a BC Gp38-2 diesel and l love it even though l have No BC cars for it but it's still a beautiful diesel none the less ,Thanks for sharing
Nice video Chris, the NYC pacemaker is awesome along with all the diesels which I prefer. Have a great summer and stay safe.
Thanks David, you too! Hope to catch you at Fall York
Awesome video Chris! I like the 1964 773!
Looking Good
Awesome video👍
0:30 - last thing I expected from a model railroading channel was Resident Evil music, but here we are
I was waiting to see if anyone caught that, haha!
Hooray the new York Central pacemaker mohawk has arrived and debut for the 1st time on your layout.
It was long overdue :)
Yes you did. You failed me... twice. LOL
Fun video to watch Chris!
A wonderful change...cool and smooth ! Thanks
I agree Jim! Those diesels are so smooth. And they tend to be better behaved when I am making videos, haha!
Always fun to see a bunch of different engines from your collection. Very cool.
Thanks Dave! Caught your run session as well and always enjoy seeing your collection
@@RBPTrains thanks Chris 👍
I love your layout Wade.
Great engine Chris
Another fun video I had a grin all the way.
First time meeting Harry. He must hit the bottle a bit since he falls off. Thanks!
We will have to see what the future holds for poor Harry. He was having all kinds of trouble during this video, haha
Great
Nice and relaxing watching the trains run. I am building a 4x8 layout featuring postwar operating accessories. Most of my locomotives are 1946 to 1959. None are collectible so they are great for running. I have one MTH Railking Imperial Santa Fe 4-8-4. The layout is in a preliminary rough out stage. Like your channel.
Enjoy your new layout! The design/build process was the most fun for me. Thanks for watching Joe
Once again, GREAT JOB CHRIS!
You missed your calling my friend but you’re young, it’s not to late so go for it. Ron
Great video! But let's see your cabooses with the steam power and ETDs on your diesel powered trains 😉 And don't forget to blow the Texas Special's horn. Suggestion: Run a diesel powered freight with mid-train power. I've done that with MTH diesels and had no speed mismatch problems.
Noted!
RBP Trains: hmmm diesels me: no RBP trains: little steam me: yes
I would absolutely love an episode featuring every 2-8-4 berkshire engine you own
I only have 2 N Scale engines so you saw 50% of my N Scale collection in this video, haha! Thanks for watching Derek
Very cool variety of engines and freight cars. Loved the NYC Pacemaker. Beautiful engine and of course the BNSF and Santa Fe's were great too. Great videos as always my friend
I had a feeling you would approve of this one with those engines running, haha!
This man is single-handedly keeping Lionel in business
LOL - There are many folks out there who are really keeping them in business. I have a few engines but have seen some insane collections!
@@RBPTrains it's just funny to think about how many times Lionel has gone bankrupt
That compressor whoop was pretty awesome on the BNSF GEVO
He has the big boy engine 😆🎊🚂🎊😆
wouldn't you get bored of the same layout for so long? wouldn't you argue half the fun is designing and building new layouts
The design and build process is so much fun. I would agree that it was the most fun part for me. Mixing up the trains also keeps things interesting, at least for me. Thanks for watching!
Terrific, Chris! I thought the whoop sound was cool too :-D Thank you!
Another great video, love those steam engines and those fast freights.
Every time I see your very expensive trains running along the edge I think…. Gotta a lotta balls running with no “Guard Rail” to catch a accidental roll over?
Never say never. Lol
I like the green and blue rail king train
You have an awesome layout plus you are very comical extraordinary running fast freight running session God bless you and your family
Thank you Eric! Appreciate your support!
Awesome video
Great video to come home to after a crap day at work! Thanks for lifting my spirits!
The Hobby lifts my spirits too Randy. Hope your week got better!
Another great video Chris.
Thank you!
Nice, Chris, another really fun and entertaining video. Really enjoyed the variety of locomotives and rolling stock. It was nice of you to give your friend, Jason that awesome shoutout. He does have a great channel too. Bill B.
Thanks Bill! Enjoyed chatting with you on Discord the other night. Hope to catch you there again soon!
@@RBPTrains I'll look forward to that. Bill
Fun plethora of freight trains ! Love your long straightaways . Engines just high ball real nice . Thanks for the freight parade 🙂
Would you be willing to do a collection video? I think a lot of people would love to see that. Love the video btw!
yes
I like to see the room he keeps all his boxed trains in.
Working on something that might be of interest in the near future. ;)
I appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into your videos. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I have an idea for your next video: I think you should make a video of all your streamline steam locomotives
That would be fun!
Hello Chris anytime I get to see one of your train videos its a GREAT WEEK keep up the Good work always enjoy them GOD BLESS YOU AND THE FAM AND STAY SAFE ;-)
Thank you Carl!!!
Loved it Chris awesome video
Can you make a video for us on the NS 1030 ACe with the NS 4000 please
Great video. Always enjoyable. Thank you 😊
Thanks Chris!
The blue and yellow santa Fe is what I grew up running in ho scale. Im starting to set up a new layout. Little by little
Should've called this RBP: Blooper Special! XD
But seriosuly, I love fast freight of all kinds and so this has to be my favorite video so far from you. Keep up the great work and videos, RBP!
Haha, you are probably right! Thanks @Samgineer!
I don’t have a layout but I still think it’d be cool to hang out with you n run some trains
Running trains with friends is always a good time!
Another fine video as usual Chris! Well done!
Fast steam engines? Weellllllll, I DID try the "How fast will it go?" thing with an MTH General on a temporary layout on the dining room table. It went so fast it flew off the table and landed in one of the chairs! It could have been worse, it might have gone into one of the china cabinets!
Very understandable your changing the marker lights from green to white on the Mohawk. I've got a Lionel Camelback that had red marker lights which I didn't care for so I installed green ones which look a lot better. By the way, green marker lights would indicate a following section (unlikely with a freight) but white markers indicate an "extra" train not on the schedule, which can be prototypical for a freight, so you didn't make a bad choice.
I asked about the "WHOOP!" noise on modern diesels on the "Trains" magazine Forum several years ago and the professional railroaders told me it was the air compressor for the brake system kicking in. For what it's worth.
All good stuff and quite a show!
By the way, considering the way Harry the Hobo's eyes are bugging out I suspect he got into some bad hooch at the hobo camp! No wonder he wound up on the right of way!
Your comment on Harry had me cracking up! Thanks Wayne
@@RBPTrains You're welcome Chris! Keep up the good work!
My grandpa has a 1940’s Hudson, and I didn’t realize till last time he had it running which was a few weeks ago that it’s number is 666 😈
Fast freight is GREAT. Really like the way you've integrated humor into these vids. Where will Harry appear next?
Another great video Chris, love to see the modern diesels and steam trains pulling freight!!!
Great video I love all the small edits you do it makes it a much better experience
Thank you @Jcentral 5344!
Great video as always... I enjoyed a lot of it
Thanks Davvon!
Trains is my life
The freight train look like they don’t have a soul compared to the steam engine great video
Interesting analogy. The steam engines do have a "life" to them :)
Hey Chris Christ here as well. You have any issues with your sd70 motor gear coming lose? I’m going to attempt a repair since seems I can only by whole new motor with plastic gear for 30 dollars. Btw great video!
No issues with the motors coming loose but I will keep eyes on them. Thanks for watching!
@@RBPTrains I did a quick short on the repair take a look on my channel thanks
You should do a lash up with 3 biggest steam locomotives and pull a massive train. It would be a display of UNLIMITED POWER!!!
Yes! So much power!
I guessed that it would be another fast train video!
You guessed correct :)
@@RBPTrains do i get a gold star?
😎
You have a very nice layout but it is your presentation that makes this channel great.
Thank you R D B!
Model trains are super expensive, so I just get N gauge. Also, you should buy the new Amtrak p42 set
New sub! Liked 🚀🙏❤️
Thanks and welcome aboard! Glad to have you here!
I'd really like to see an N Scale collection video
I only have 2 N Scale engines so you saw 50% of my N Scale collection in this video, haha! Thanks for watching Derek
@@RBPTrains Welcome. Anyways, what is the other locomotive? I know it's steam
Really fantastic video here Chris it's great trains to see and also the viewpoint is super you kind of feel like you're seeing a real train in the yards and going through the The city type of a scene ..Bravissimo!
Thank you Fulvio!
I’m starting to get into O guage. Is that E-Z track? What is the name and do you have to do wiring
It’s Lionel fast track and yes it has to be wired
@@robbykoopman5559 Thanks what about the post war track. Like the Menards O guage track
@@Thunder_106 all track has to be hooked up to power and if your layout is big enough it will need addition power station the track you are referring to is know as tubular track
@@robbykoopman5559 ok thanks
Sounds like Robby covered your questions. :) Enjoy the build!
Another fun video Chris do you know roughly when you will post in the community page when to send in your video
Hey Dan - late to my replies this week but the Community Post went up. I have not checked all the submissions thus far but will be looking out for yours. Thanks!
Hey RBP what kind of controller are you using I’m just curious because I see it a lot in your vids.
i really rnjoy the freight locomotives, do you have a Shay in your collection? They are beasts
You bet! I did a video a few weeks ago featuring a Shay. Great engine!
Thanks for letting us enjoy your amazing layout!! I'm an avid train fan and a collector of several different gauges of trains, including Lionel O gauge. I just purchased 2 O scale Lionel steam engines and plan on building a large layout in my basement soon. Can you tell me what for power sources do you use to power your track? I see you use the CAB 2 to do all of the engine functions. Any advice you have for me would be great. I do have experience in running command and control trains just not large ones that draw lots of electricity.
Thanks again!
You need a Pacemaker caboose, those were at least real.
I really enjoyed this, a wonderful variety of trains. Hmmm, I wonder, how many tank cars do you have? I always like tank cars and wondering what a string of them would look like behind some of your great locomotives. There’s an idea for ya! Thank you for the wonderful content!
Thanks Joseph! I do not have many tank cars in the collection. Only three of the "Tank Train" types. Might look for some in the future but would need a bunch, haha! Great suggestion :)
I been checking out you channel, and layout for a few months, and never seen any of the southern pacific cab over. I could be wrong.
I do not have any of those engines in my collection. Maybe one day!
RBP, since you did a New York Central running session, can you do a Union Pacific running session? And what smoke fluid flavor do you use?
I will definitely run more UP coming up. I use MTH Christmas scent all year 'round. :)
Love your layout and the trains. To be honest I was in a down mood but after watching this it picked me up a little. By the way what’s the difference between S gauge and O gauge?
O Gauge is 1/48 scale (mostly) S gauge is 1/64.
Trains cheer me up too! Wayne answered your scale questions before I could. Hope the trains and weekend are able to lift your spirits!
@@RBPTrains thank you it did
@@wayneantoniazzi2706 I never see S gauge advertised? Do they have three or two rails?
6:46 the "whoop" is the air compressor! we like to call it the "whoop generator" because of the startup sound it makes. another neat feature of that ES44 sound set is that in notch 5
(or Legacy remote rpm level 4 I believe) is the sound of the dynamic (or regenerative) brakes kicking on. Anyways, awesome video as always Chris, keep it up!
Awesome, thanks for the info Stephen!
@@RBPTrains always happy to share my knowledge with others!
Would be cool if they came out with Wabtec 3000
That would be cool
Yeah I mean I’m going to be seeing it on the B&P but would be cool to model
Question: Where do you get most of your diesel/big steam locomotives? Examples:UP 1988 UP 4014 NYC 5454 I also would love layout ideas I would love if you can give me an idea on what to do. So far I only have a loop of track around 70sqft
I have a few stores I use including my local hobby shop but I get many of these trains from Trainz.com and Trainworld.com. As far as I ideas, my only advice is to follow your imagination and do things the way you want to do them. That is the fun part! Thanks for watching!
@@RBPTrains thank you for the advice, But, are there any promo codes you know of? So I don’t spend $4000 on train cars and track
I dont have a layout nor o gauge locomotives. The closest thing I have to O is ON30
