Correction on my note about the real bridge! The real Steubenville Railroad bridge connects Ohio and West Virginia. Guess I needed more coffee… Even RBP makes mistakes!
That's okay, everyone else can make mistakes too. And I am sorry about some viewers being rude to you when they mention the line, CAN YOU FEEL THE EXCITEMENT?
I forgot to tell you that I would like to see the trains running from almost inside the truss bridge for a different angle.
One benefit of a mistake: your learning
Bridge is bridge I've seen similar bridge from ohio and Pennsylvania they both got the same bridge
Haha, I understand your collector pain. Recently, I went the the New York Central Museum in Elkhart, Indiana with my Dad. After that, my dad decided to take me to a local hobby shop in the area. Walked out with an SP Cab Forward.
Beautiful engines. Love that Berkshire. Didn't know that an unshrouded J class was a thing.
"It IS Beautiful" - Eric talking about the 765. Me - That's an understatement my friend.
Bridgezilla!!!
Looks great in action along with your new trains and rolling stock.
The Bridges look even better on the layout , than they did at the York display! ....For those here that dont build scale models, pound for pound these model bridges are stronger than the prototypes .
It's amazing how all those trains followed you home Chris. LOL The bridge looks amazing. I saw that in the booth. I always check out there bridges every year and keep thinking where I could put one. Just might have to replace my MTH bridges with one of theirs. Someday....
The meet and greet at York was awesome. Thanks to the four of you that arranged it and the clubs that provide the door prizes. Correct me if I’m wrong but it was the TCA and the LCCA. The young 7 year old who won the first drawing was sitting directly in front of my wife and me. Your announcement of the meet and greet was what got my wife and I talking about making the trip to York. Thank you.
Thanks for coming to the event! The LCCA donated two train cars and METCA provided the third. Was a great time!
Incredible trestle, looks totally amazing
Very nice bridge chris. Looks great with the big boy running on it.
Hello Chris, the bridge is super great. I'm really impressed. We have the beautiful Rhine bridges here
Greetings from Cologne Germany
Michael
Here I was thinking, you know, since the big boy won the poll, it would kinda be cool to see both of the big boys that you have cross the bridge at the same time.
Here I am now, pleasantly surprised.
Whoa. Fabulous. All the new goodies are dope! You made me take my 2k era TMCC 759 Berk off the shelf and run it. So much fun. So little time.
That’s a big bridge!!! You have a nice big room for your layout man that looks fun
Wow very awesome bridges ! It really takes your layout to the next level. Beautiful engines that you purchased at york also.
Great video, Chris! I am a huge O scaler, 2 and 3 rail. Lot's of giant steam engines. I love the big bridges!! Reminds me of my childhood in New York City in the 50s and 60s!!
Awesome bridge!!!...and great new trains!!!
Great bridges, really add to the layout! Shout out to Seaside Hobbies, great shop and my go to place for repairs!
Wow! That came out great! Works really well for your layout. Guess I’ll have to find some room for one!
I like the rebuild....really opened up all the sight lines to the tracks.
Greetings Jason well you look like you had a fun time at the York exhibition you’re very fortunate to able to go to exhibitions like that here in Australia we just don’t have them not that big anyway to things Jason you must be spending a lot of big bucks on your Railway I like the new section that you’re building and I’m quite impressed you’re with your bridges built out of Masonite which is quite strong here in Australia I used to sell it at a company I used to work for like your home depot but we called Bunnings hardware here in Australia you must be a very professional person do you have a big bucks to spend on your Trains or you must be very blessed to have a very understanding wife I tell you what Jason enjoy your Railway PS I like the new section that you build two possibilities you built the new section so you could have a new bridge or you built a bridge to build a new section anyway enjoy thank you Jeff Melbourne Australia
WOW! That’s an awesome layout! The bridge is also a great thing to play limbo with!😂 but jokes aside I think that bridge is an amazing detail, and you can run more trains!
Haha, yes it is!
This is so cool and the 765 is one of my favorites and it looks amazing 🤩
Great bridge CRIS. lOVE N.&W. TRAINS. We've road on a few when we were kids for real out of Ronake Va. !! We shall never forget it. wonderful memories!! Your friends, Howard & Jane M. 😊😊❤👍👍🚂
Outstanding Chris. Amazing to see a great layout get even better.
That bridge is a marvelous piece of model engineering and that bridge really gives your layout a touch
What an awesome bridge! This is great for a main feature for the reimagined layout, Chris! It completes the new loop with style. Very appropriate for the Big Boy(s) to inaugurate the Big Bridge. Glad you had a great time at York and picked up such great models to expand your collection. Also good that you could meet and greet so many friends and fans! When you chose to run lots of steam, I'm all in. No complaints here. Keep up the good work on the layout and featuring your progress on UA-cam. Look forward to it.
Thanks for making the hobby so fun and enjoyable! Bridge is incredible!
Layout's looking good even with the new bridge!
Wow. Your layout has really grown since your early days. Looking terrific. Many thanks for posting.
Can’t wait to see the OCS , I was fortunate enough to also find the DAB set as well this year!!!
Very cool Scott!
Definitely not a sickness but just plain fun, after all a man can never have enough locomotives and trains. BTW, I love your new bridge it is beautiful.
Such a great addition to the layout. Super exciting!
MASSIVE! I'm very familiar with the prototype and walked across it several times. Great haul from York as well. Will be watching out for your layout updates. Yes, train collecting is definitely addictive. Thanks for sharing.
Wow the bridge looks amazing and you found a 765 I’ve been looking for one congratulations on both and thanks for a great video
The bridge looks great! I may keep them in mind for my (hopefully) future layout bridge needs.
Very nice. Now all you need is blue color carpet to look like water below the big train bridge. Just kidding! Your wife is saying no! We’ve spent enough money in the train room already. But seriously everything looks nice. Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop.
What a great addition to the layout, the bridges are fantastic, keep it going.
Wow simply amazing. Been a while since I last posted, things have been crazy with work. I will have to check on some of your previous ones. I am sure they are top notch. Excellent as always
That Nickel Plate Road whistle gives me chills!!
Thanks for the bridge video. I passed the Steubenville Ohio railroad bridge on West Virginia Route 2 every Saturday for over 30 years. I still pass the bridge when I visit my hometown. Thanks for the memories.
The layout tools really cool with the new bridges
I watched this the other week and wondered if I had ever seen that bridge as the in-laws are right in that area. Sure enough I drove right by it yesterday on the way in from a few hours away for the holiday! Pretty cool, looks great
Chris, those bridges are absolutely magnificent, both the shorty and the eight-foot "monument."
I can't help but call it a monument, that big bridge and the big steamers complement each other perfectly, an incredible "Big Iron" tribute to a time when the US was at the height of it's power. Just stunning!
And those are some great finds you made at York! Well done!
Hi Chris, I am just letting you know that I have named one of my engines after you because I admire you and your work on the layout.
This brought my whole inner child back to life,I am smiling ear to ear,the bridge looks awesome!
Nice bridge, it looks awesome, you can watch trains from the top, both sides, and my favorite...from underneath 😲 nice NS OCS set, if you don't do anything else to the layout, it is a big improvement, Congrats!!!
And they say that drugs are a problem, make sure to always check up on your model railroading friends.🤣 Nonetheless Chris video, the bridge is a real eye catcher and even some eye candy, you definitely didn’t leave unhappy. Thanks for sharing!
Killer additions this year sir. The bridge is amazing!
That bridge looks amazing!!!!
I hope that one day I can have something similar on my planned layout!😁
Hello Chris, I am here to tell you that I am thinking about making my wooden railroad have some 1 ft curses to replace my 6 inch curves for the double track mainline partly inspired by you. Now I can double the speed and length of my trains to make my layout better and more exciting than ever! Thank you so much for the inspiration and the amazing channel.
Cory Mears
We all knew the bridge was coming. We all knew it was 8' long. We saw a glimpse of it at the show....but Hole E. Cow...the way it looks on your awesome layout.....speechless !
Congratulations on your new bridges and your show pieces. Terrific !
Thanks for the video.
The bridge. Wow. Such a beautiful piece. The trains ain’t bad either! Nice additions. Great seeing you at York.
Great seeing you too Dave!
Hi Chris, man that new bridge is something else. Big and beautiful for sure! Your railroad renovation is really coming together. Truly enjoyed spending time with you and the other fellas at York. The "mixer event" Saturday morning was really special. You guys all did great! Bill B.
Great hanging out with you at York too Bill! The people there are always my favorite part!
Congratulations Chris, OMG those are stunning, almost looks like a twin that’s over the Mississippi that I’ve been over and under. Great scores for your collection, can’t wait to see the reviews. Ron
I used to live in York and sadly I have never been to the public side of the show. Maybe when my son gets a little older, we will take him to it. He was 3 months at Christmas and already has his first train set, the Thomas the Tank O scale from Lionel.
Wow! Can’t wait to see this all done and finished your layout is looking amazing. That bridge is beautiful.
Awesome finds Chris! Glad the bridge made it home safe and around, looks fantastic!
A few notes:
The layout mods make the layout better. Sometimes mods just crowd things. Yours made it better
765 great catch. Rode behind the real loco over the Horseshoe Curve!!!! I'd love one.
I do laser cutting myself. That bridge has $1000 of JUST CUTTING ALONE in it. I know it was not cheap.......but Laser+materials+labor......worth it I bet! Thx
Man, now I have bridge envy. Congrats the layout is looking great.
Love this episode! A total enjoyment. 👍👍👍👍
Fantastic Chris.! BIG Bridge BIG 👍The best very expensive sickness I can enjoy for life.!😊
Your new bridge is a magnificent addition to your layout, Chris! Love all the steam engines you run. Thank you for sharing your layout with all of us 🙂👍
Bridge looks fantastic
Great job Chris.
That bridge is phenomenal. Great addition to your layout. I love the changes.
Well done Chris, it looks amazing. Also, thanks for dropping the names of some good retailers. I will be check out their online stores!
Never a dull video with RBP Trains! You never fail to make me laugh bro
I agree with you on that. Cory Mears
Great video Chris, the bridge and layout look awesome, great job
Those F3’s are beautiful, I just picked up the New Haven F3 set and I love it. Congrats on the new additions, the bridges look amazing
Have to admit you made the changes to the layout so far are awesome but the bridges well its like the cherry on top, it completes everything.
You have to be very excited
Nice job and good luck and cannot wait for more
Hey RBP Trains, the addition of the bridges makes your layout just that more awesome to look at and watch!!!!!!!
The bridge looks great man! It reminds me of the railroad bridges designed by Clark Dunnum studios. The York show was also really epic last Friday. Glad you got a chance to meet Craig a the seaside hobbies both. hope to catch up with the rest of you guys at the next one. 🚂
Awesome bridge. I'm glad you snuck the Katy behind the big boy for the bridge shot. When I think of your channel that's the railroad I associate with.
Had to sneak The Katy on there :)
That bridge is fantastic. They really are craftsman. Looks awesome.
I'm not sure how many Seaside Hobbies there are - but if you're referring to the one from Delaware - then I also highly recommend checking them out! When I go to the beach, I MIGHT look forward to visiting that store more than the actual beach! XD
Still feel bad about passing on the O gauge 612 last year. I'd say hopefully she's still there, but probably not.
What a great video Chris! It looks like you really cleaned up at the show. The bridge is amazing! They did a truly awesome job with it, and I'm sure that the video doesn't do it much justice as to its real life presence. Keep the videos coming!
Wow, I’ve seen trains run across the Steubenville bridge in real life many times.
That's an amazing bridge. This new configuration makes your layout look so much better!
Oh man ...what a bridge ...oh man I love it...
Chris ! It was so wonderful to meet you. The Q&A + Meet and Greet was a great success. I ended up with that beautiful MTH Premier Katy also from Bob!.
It was great to meet you as well Steven! I saw that Katy engine on display. Very cool.
It was so nice meeting you at the TCA show. Love the new bridge. Can’t wait to see you at April TCA 2023 show. I will be setting up my layout for April show. Come by and see the layout.
Great meeting you too!
Love and hate York at the same time. Hate that I can't go cause I'm too far away, maybe in a future one. But love watching so many item's, from your Berkshire and Bridge (excellent additions) to all those coal cars. Great job Chris👍. My wife thinks train collecting is a sickness but is okay with it because she occasionally plays with my train set too.
Haha! My wife does the same :)
Chris anytime you share another you tube video with the rest of us fellow hobbyists its ALWAYS A GREAT WEEK GLAD YOU HAD FUN AT YORK PA I gotta go up there my cousin lives in AUBURN PA ;-) And yes I have been to Nicholas Smith trains in Broommall PA upstairs
Those are certainly beautiful bridges, and the layout is looking great as well!
I hope it’s super secure. I’d stand up to soon and hit my back or my head on it, knocking it off the layout 😂
Like the big boy going over the bridge
Chris, what a nice video! And so glad that you run both high tech equipment and traditional . Love your blend of talk, humor, and train running. I model both American and international trains. Keep up your very entertaining videos! James
Thanks for watching James!
Amazing.....thanks for sharing.
It’s an amazingly awesome bridge love the details on the design of the bridge and your layout is the most wonderful on video or in person I’ve ever seen and it’s just getting better!
Hi Chris, I have just made braces for my new trestle that I made last night. The trestle looks like a suspension bridge and the arch is stronger than ever. One of my inspirations is the huge bridge on your layout. Cory Mears
That’s a beautiful bridge I am jealous now I better get one myself boy a few years ago I wanted one of those wonderful brides but it wouldn’t fit in my car enjoy many years of excitement
Chris!! Amazing bridge!!
Nice pick up. Thanks for the info on the bridge builders. I got to climb into the real NS OCS train before they sold it. Full tour as well.
Your new bride is bad ass brother, they did a great job
That bridge is AWESOME!
Holy crap that bridge is gorgeous and huge!
Looks awesome man. Your layout has really improved.
Amazing! Have a good holiday!
Oh wow that is so cool that's so cool that model style Bridge fit for an H O scale train set or the O scale train set because all of that is the O scale train set👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Chris, it was great to meet you at Timonium. THAT BRIDGE IS AWESOME!!!!! Keep'em rolling my friend!
Likewise Ray! Hope to see you there again one day.
As an Ohioan myself. Chris you married the RIGHT woman. This bridge is AWESOME!
