I don't worry about it because I actually have a hard time eating as much protein as I need. I was never a big meat eater, and a few months ago, I discovered that I've been seriously protein deficient for many years. I'm carnivore by default because I just don't have houseroom for anything but protein! I'm still only at 75% of what I should be eating just because there's only so much I can eat. I probably average about 3/4 pound of red meat per day; I also eat sardines, kippers, eggs, and pork. I also usually have one scoop of whey powder in a glass of milk. I keep a running tab on how much protein I eat, but not always what exactly I eat.
It is very difficult to eat too much red meat and fat because of the satiety signal. Carbohydrates do not trigger a satiety signal, which is why carbohydrates are highly addictive.
I'm having a difficult time. The more red meat and chicken I eat the more I find it distasteful. Too much farmed fish. Not a pork fan. I love black beans, garbanzo beans, brown rice and quinoa. Very filling and satisfying. I haven't eaten any of these items for almost 2 months. I feel deprived and that is not good. I'm 74, diabetic but no meds, slowly increasing my aerobic exercise. Had 2 knee replacements last year, the last in December. One day at a time. But, I'm getting bored.
I have red meat and ground beef patties every day. My biggest problem with this diet is that l always have to give my Jack Russell some at every mealtime. He’s 15 years old now, and still requires 3 walks a day. Im not joking.
I'm 175lb guy who needs to lose 25 lbs. I eat about a pound and a half of beef and maybe 4 eggs a day and 2 slices of cheese and a few strips of bacon.
I’m eating more grass fed meat now and building muscle. Love ground beef Pattie’s in my healthy salads! Also load up on red meat before my long fasts! I’m almost 55 with biomarkers of a healthy 30 year old
My cholesterol has been high since starting a low-carb diet - and my doctors have been concerned. It’s down from what were alarming levels a few months ago but still in the danger zone, so I’m still trying to work on it by cutting animal fat. Could you do an episode on cholesterol - how much to be concerned, how much red meat and cheese affect cholesterol levels, other ways to reduce cholesterol and stay “heart healthy” on a low carb or keto diet?
Fasting 3 days / week, 1 day- onyl fish, 1 day Beef liver, then 1-2 red meat (Beef, pork, venison, or lamb, and 1-2 chicken meals on regular basis. BTW- Great Tan!
I can spend 6 hours on the couch watching youtube clips, then go for a 3 mile run without stopping. And no sore muscles the next day. That's the carnivore effect. I'm 64.
I don't remember these marbled and fatty cuts of meat 20yrs ago. If you wanted that, you'd buy a porterhouse or ribeye. Nowadays the cattle are even more force fed and unhealthy. I buy tenderloin and inside/eye's now and rinse my ground beef! I'm weird, I know. I get my good fats elsewhere without the side effect of breaking out in nasty zits - true story. My body doesn't like saturated fats in large quantities
I've actually increased my diet of red meat like I did when I was younger and always liked fish....I definitely ha e less hunger for longer periods of time and have noticed more energy..I bike to work year round and can tell when get good sleep and usually have a high protein dinner the evening before the next day riding ..feels way less sluggish
Red meat 🍖 is awesome. I eat hamberg on an almost daily basis while throwing some salmon in there about 3 times a week. Pork & and chicken are great too, but I love my beef the most 😊
my doctor told me no more red meat shrimp and eggs.my ldl went up while I ate theses so called healthy meats.i eat grilled chicken and fish and lean cuts.ldl slowly went back down.now why is that??
I thyink I'm going to go on an experiment and just go full 100% red meat and cut out the chicken thighs ( not sure how to cut out my beloved eggs for breakfast though ). See what the result is - I'd bet I'd be able to cut down my resistance training to just each body part once a week, especially since my priority is losing fat, but i really want to maintain muscle while doing that.
I wouldn't say there is no increase in blood sugar on Carnivore. Blood sugar does increase whenever you eat. The difference is your blood won't spike like on carbs.
I've limited my red meat, but only because the price has gone up so high. I've increased the amount of pork I eat because it is so much cheaper. Red meat is my favorite, and I would never restrict it for any other reason. Fresh wild salmon went through the roof pricewise, too! I'm hoping that both of these will come down in price at some point. Otherwise, I'll have to get creative with my finances in order to keep eating red meat. I used to eat it every day, but now I switched to every other day with pork filling the gaps. I think I've been on a carnivore/low carb lifestyle for about three years now. Each of those years have shown improvement in my bloodwork results. Lower triglycerides and higher HDL. My A1C keeps improving, too, but not as much as it did in the first year. Holidays and birthdays are speed bumps that my body handles very well with no lingering bad effects. Thanks for the great videos! I've been watching them for what seems like forever! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for video!❤ I eat alot of red meat grassfed/finished, steaks and groundbeef. Lowered blood sugar/pressure w/o meds, lost weight too and bad cholesterol down. I'm 70 male, Keto 4 years and going strong!
In 2022 on a mostly plant based dairy free diet my cholesterol and triglycerides were super high. That year we bought a farm, bought 1/2 a cow from our new neighbor and added full fat dairy to our diet. Last week, my cholesterol is down 41 points and triglycerides are down 93 points!
Kait, OMG you forget the biggest secret of red meat and other quality animal proteins, it’s thermogenic, requires energy to absorb and digest. Up to 15% calories of the protein to breakdown and metabolize.
How much red meat do you eat?
I eat 2 lbs about 5 times a week.
I don't worry about it because I actually have a hard time eating as much protein as I need. As much i can. Proud member of only true PETA. People Eating Tasty Animals.
Twice a day
I eat to the point I’m uncomfortable about an hour later. I need to slow down I’m a fast eater.
I eat read meat, then repeat. Simple as that. thanks for the reminder of the benefits.
I eat beef, liver, pork chicken, lamb, all kinds of seafood dairy and enjoy it all. But I feel the best and the most satisfied eating a big old steak!
Red meat is 75% or more of my animal sourced protein while keto or when I break ketosis. Protein is priority!❤
❤️❤️
Don't understand @ dana what you mean break ketosis
You make everything so easy to understand! Thomas Delauer can sometimes lose me with all his jargon

Always grateful Coach Kait, thanks again!

Thank you again Kait.

Blood work will decide. You can have too much protein. Seems you need small amounts of carbs or fruit with meat and fats.
Hi Kait I eat red meet 3 to 4 times a week :)
I love red meat so much I can tend to overeat it if not careful.

Hi, eat 100% grass fed beef. Healthier fat ratio, with minimal marbling. 👍

Love beef. Rarely eat chicken anymore. Chicken has been pushed on us for years.
I actually crave beef. I believe my body loves it’s nutrients.
Once a week
Red meat 🍖 is awesome. I eat hamberg on an almost daily basis while throwing some salmon in there about 3 times a week. Pork & and chicken are great too, but I love my beef the most 😊
I eat lean red meat and pair it with a carb of course more vegetables and fruits alongside a glass of water
I would never limit red meat. It has helped so much with my ptsd. I eat about 1.5 lbs of red meat per day.
my doctor told me no more red meat shrimp and eggs.my ldl went up while I ate theses so called healthy meats.i eat grilled chicken and fish and lean cuts.ldl slowly went back down.now why is that??
If you’re worried about LDL you’re focusing on the wrong thing

question, when u eat carbs can u pair it with a fat to reduce insulin spike instead of protein?

I eat red meat all the time. Mostly lamb liver heart & forequarter chops. Also have been eating a lot of canned sardines in ev olive oil
Loved your red nails, Kait.
I limit my red meat now to what ever red meat I have to cook, then i buy more red meat grrrrrrrrrr
Hey Kait! It's been a long time..... red meat all the way!
I eat meat twice day;Thank you Kait!!!.
❤️❤️
L83❤❤❤
at least 500 g a day, clean keto
Still waiting to hear any of you specialists discuss how eating more red meat reduces ldl
no need to do so…
LDL doesn’t matter if trig’s and hdl are good
Have about 15 videos on this going years back so not sure what you’re waiting for 🤗
Phew...I'm a carnivore :)
I wouldn't say there is no increase in blood sugar on Carnivore. Blood sugar does increase whenever you eat. The difference is your blood won't spike like on carbs.
Your blood sugar won’t increase if you eat lean protein if you are metabolically healthy. It’s only if you have IR it will increase.
You are missing nail polish on your middle finger. Yeap, I noticed.
Hey Kait... 😊 👍 -70SomethingGuy

I prefer chicken, but this is good to hear

you forgot to say; it makes you go GRRRRRRR grrrrrr GRRRRRR
Red meat is king
But Kait remember 1 thing. You will never go before your time.
How bout meat flavored vegetables? Red meat cost too much 🤔
