One of the best benefits of FBM is that used inventory doesn't go back in stock in the return process. Literally the most awful negative reviews we have had are because warehouse Billy sends a customer a heavily used returned product. Amazon takes no responsibility for this and will also not remove the reviews. Amazon can and will tarnish your brand as they are not a reliable "partner."

Great video! We have been using FBM since the pandemic began. We switched from FBA for all of the reasons that you mention. One other reason we switched to FBM is because we were paying shipping on both ends of the shipment - shipment to the FBA center and then shipment to the customer. Amazon dictates the FC you ship to, and how many units that you ship to each FC. It just didn't make financial sense to continue to use FBA in our case. Further, our product was not prioritized on FBA during the pandemic and by using FBM, we were able to continue shipping without interruption. Thanks for the balanced video. Great stuff!

If I go with FBA, do I pay for the shipping separately on each product that goes to my customers? Or is the shipping accounted for as part of the "lump sum" fees I pay for FBA?

I started out with FBA. Then the 4th quarter hit. OMG the FEES the FEES. It's insane.
Now doing both. Like you said for small items I do FBA and if I have competitions.
I do FBM for heavy items and if I don't have competition.
That's a great strategy!🙌

What about changing from selling used books (usually only 1 unit of each book) FBA to FBM, including already existing FBA inventory? I'm sick of Amazon losing so many of my books and never giving any explanation or accountability.

Hey! I recently launched my very first product. I have an individual account and signed up for FBM for now. I took care of SEO and all other vital info about the product yet my product doesn't show up in the search. Only when I mention my brand's name with it i.e. "UForia cotton canvas tote bags", then it shows up. & even then you cannot see the price next to it until you click on it. Can you please help me with what I might be missing? I am so worried, Will appreciate your help a lot. Thank you!
Have you used our keyword tools like the Keyword Scout to check what keywords your product is ranking for?

Glad you are enjoying the content! To change from FBM to FBA you simply change the fulfillment method on the listing/ASIN and be sure to send in inventory to Amazon :)

So the FBM or FBA fulfillment preferences are determined on the ASIN level, not the entire account. For as long as you choose "I want Amazon to ship and provide customer service for my items if they sell." when adding a new ASIN, that should set the type to FBA. :)

How can I switch FBM Account to FBA account? Thank you for sharing your video 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Here are the steps you will need to follow the steps to properly add another SKU to change from FBM to FBA:
1. Log into your Amazon Seller Central.
2. Select the Inventory tab at top of page. Select Manage Inventory.
3. Find the SKU that you would like change from MF to FBA, and the correlating ASIN.
COMMON PITFALL >> Please do not click "Edit" on an item and select "Change to fulfilled by Amazon". This will cause more harm than help, please DO NOT click this option. We cannot troubleshoot issues that are caused by converting an FBM SKU to FBA.
4. Select the Inventory tab at the top of page. Select "Add a Product".
5. Enter the ASIN of the product (example: B00OPF9HQO).
6. Select "Sell Yours".
7. For the SKU, enter the identical SKU from the product (TN-4F0Y-AEL4). Add the -FBA suffix at the end of the SKU. (example: TN-4F0Y-AEL4-FBA)
8. Select "Advanced View" on the right hand side. Select "I want Amazon to ship and provide customer service for my items if they sell."
9. Select "Save and Finish". Listing Mirror will now pull in this new listing data from Amazon. You can view both your FBA and FBM SKUs on your Manage Duplicate Listings page (original SKU vs. original SKU-FBA).

It is best to get the right information about the product's dimensions and add it to the listing. ^EG

Yes, they're both on Amazon and can be under the same listing! FBA will just be fulfilled by Amazon whereas as FBM the products would come to you to ship to your customers.
Im selling an item that is 2“ x 2“ and weighs half an ounce and I am charging six dollars and after all the fees I only make $.35 if I switch to FBM will I have to pay for shipping and where would I buy my shipping label from?

The problem with FBA is that they offer free returns always. That cost a lot of money to the seller.
FBM must accept returns but not necessarily free? the customer pay for the return.

There are pros and cons to both! While using FBA, the return is free, but you can re-stock the item to sell it again or get compensated for it. With FBM you may need to cover the costs of the return, not the customer.

You can choose to use a PO Box, you do not need to put your home address on the package. If you do FBM, you are responsible for the customer service aspect, You can set up exchange and refund policies on your account.

There may be a wait time because Amazon needs to see you can provide Prime first

Does Amazon Charge FBM Seller Fees Before the Product Ships?
Your fees and shipping will be charged when the customer purchases, so definitely before you have shipped. But it'll be charged and tallied you'll pay every other week!
The FBA fees are too high. If I stop selling FBA and just sell FBM will my Mouthy FBA fee stop? I am not having vary

I have a question. Who is an Amazon "Prime" Seller and how is it different from a normal seller?
Hi Shaheer! A Prime seller is someone who can deliver the item in 2 days or less, whether they are using Amazon's delivery or doing it themselves. A regular seller does not have to deliver within 2 days :)
