ULCERATIVE COLITIS & IBS TIPS & YOGA POSES - Get yourself into remission quick!

  • Hey there! Join me as I share some useful tips and Yoga poses for Ulcerative Colitis and IBS. Having UC for the past 13 years, I have found what helps me stay in remission and how to avoid having a flare up. I have also included some pranayama (breathing) for stress relief, Nuali Kriya for abdominal massage and other beneficial yoga poses. Lets get you back to feeling better and into remission soon!
    This is a great sequence to practice 6 days a week, if some of the yoga pose holds are too long for you, build up to them, start with 10 breaths then 15 etc. working your way up to 30 over time. Be easy on your self, nurture yourself and take good care! Be sure to drink lots of water and get lots of sunshine and fresh air!

    When in a flareup I take amzn.to/48MZX2N probiotic anywhere from 1-5 packets, always working up to 5 only if needed and very slowly. 1 pack with a mild flare, 2/3 medium flare and 5 packs when I'm having a bad flare. It takes 14 days to fully colonize your GI track so be patient when starting it and be patient before adding more packs.
    Another super simple inexpensive fix I found to ease daily trips to the restroom and to stop bleeding is Metamucil pills, not powder but pill form, here is the link. amzn.to/3YKnrlB . Start out with taking one pill 3 times a day then increase if needed to 7 pills 3x's a day over the course of a week. Let me know questions down below.

    Hi .. Im living with UC since 5 years now and currently undergoing a major flare up .. Doc has advised for 15 day steroid course but I’m trying to avoid it and get myself into remission the natural way .. Your yoga routine seems really helpful , Very well explained , I’m surely going to start this from tomorrow .. hope it helps me too as it has helped you.

      Hi Saurabh, I'm so sorry your experiencing a flare up, I know it's not fun to say the least!! I recommend doing these yoga poses and breathing exercises daily. Make sure your stress is under control, and be sure to eat a healthy diet. I'm going to release another video hopefully in the next couple of weeks about what I do eat and the importance of a probiotic. My preferred one is Vis Biome, you can find it on Amazon, in the mean time fresh veggies, lots of fruit and no processed food. Best of luck!! ~ Kim

      Yes I’m following a good diet and monitoring what I’m eating. Doing meditation to keep Stress at bay.

      Saurabh Khurana I’ve been in remission for 6 years, 2 years drug free, try taking some good probiotics, I take vitamin D, Omega 3s a must, Boswellia a must.. and also have Green tea or chamomile tea with Manuka Honey, I also try not to stress at all, and pray for sure... try it and see if it helps,... god bless :)

      Hi joey .. that’s amazing what you’ve achieved .. I’m already started having munaka , turmeric-ginger / peppermint green tea .. I’m using frankincense essential oil for topical use and in diffuser ..
      iv heard great things about Boswellia but how does one use/consume it .. plz help.
      Iv yet to start taking omega 3. And Ofcourse iv started with Kim’s yoga routine since 3-4 days now.
      Hoping to get better soon .. thanks for the tips again .. godbless :)

      Saurabh Khurana those are awesome things your doing! Also try taking some bone broth. I usually take the protein form that they sell on amazon and I mix it with collagen! Boswellia you can buy on amazon as well, I take it in pill form but to me it’s a very effective anti inflammatory! Definitely add omega 3s!! And also when you’re feeling stressed get take some Ashwaganda... I don’t take it too often but it really makes me feel great when I do.. I did a lot of research to find these supplements & natural herbs! Look into it and I hope it helps you :)

      Going to look it up now. Currently in a flare up. Taking prednisone witch makes me hungry. I am going to look up the Metamucil today. Thanks. Any recommendations for meal ideas

      @@Dynastyspiral What I have found is if I over analyze what I eat I do worse. So just try to eat a healthy well rounded diet. I just try to stay away from stimulants like coffee and alcohol and any junk food especially soda. Eating mostly fresh vegetables, grains, rice, pasta, some seafood and dairy, but I do have a kid so it's not always easy to eat only fresh food : ) Biggest thing is to not stress about what you eat.     Mam I suffering from ulcerative colitis and gas pblms,plz wt kind of food I should take,i try u r yoga video definitely.tnk u mam

      HI! Sorry to hear you are suffering from UC. Food can be tricky and tend to stress us out more then necessary. I suggest a clean diet free of processed and packaged food, with lots of fresh cooked vegetables. During a flare I stay away from raw vegetables and salads and stick to cooked produce, and lots and lots of fresh fruit and fish. Once flare is over I reintroduce raw veggies. Hope this helps!       Yes of course! Exercise, eat real food, do yoga and eat lots of fiber and probiotics.

    Does having ulcerative colitis effect menstrual cycle ? I have been missing my period since the last 4 months

      Yes, it happened to me when I was in a real bad flare. Your body wants to conserve energy and menstruation takes a lot of energy. Also your body does not think it would be a good time to have a child, until you are well enough. Have you tried adding psyllium seed husk (Metamucil) to your diet and a good probiotic? Those plus yoga have put me into remission many times! Good luck!! ✨

    I just wanna tell you thank you so much I was recently diagnosed with UC however I am grateful for being such as your self and make it a lot easier to cope with it and also to heal I am healing from ulcerative colitis I am healing from ulcerative colitis I will not let it get the best of me and I thank youFor taking the time out to make this video peace love and abundant and wellness you are eternal bliss

Also I know it’s off the Spectrum a bit but I would like to ask you have you studied astrology and the astrological aspects associated with digestive disorders for example Virgo placements in the natal chart? I recognize that I have a lot of emotional problems that I need to heal from as well actually my Saturn return is in the sign of VirgoAlso do you have any kind of Instagram I can follow you on

      @@GirlygangstaGoddessPodcast Metamucil is a natural fiber that binds your stool, so if you are at the stage where you are going to the bathroom more times a day then you wish. Metamucil will absorb the extra water eliminating watery stools. So that your trips to the bathroom are cut down to a more normal number such as 2-4. I know when I am in a flare I may use the bathroom up to 15 times a day!!! It's debilitating, I worry at work if I will need to use the bathroom at the wrong time etc. Using Metamucil during a flare eliminates all of that. Having UC for the last 14 years on and off Metamucil has been a God send. And best of all it can kick your body into remission. I love the stuff!! FYI not all generic brands of it work the same, and can make symptoms worse.
      I have not studied Astrology, I do believe in it though maybe one day I will take the time to learn : ) Take care! ~Kim

      @@OceanVayuYoga wow! I’ve never heard of using Metamucil during a flare, maybe I will try that also. I’m currently using mesalamine suppositories and hoping to avoid steroids and/or hospital again, thank you!
