  • If your anything like me and want relief from Ulcerative Colits, Crohn's, IBS or IBD symptoms and what to get on the road to remission then this is the sequence for you. This Yoga sequence is adapted from BKS Iyengar's series for Stomach aliments. Having had UC since I was in my mid twenties on and off till now I can 100% say having a 6 day a week yoga practice has kept my UC symptoms at bay with zero medication. I have also found that a daily dose of Probiotic and Metamucil are my dear friends if I'm having a flareup.       Thanks for this video! I’m really interested in trying natural ways to cure my UC as I’ve already failed a few biologics. Do you follow a specific diet that you find helps? What else do you do/use?

      @@meg5222 Hi Meghan, I follow a lacto, pescatarian diet with as much fresh food as possible and as little processed food as I can. Also whenever in a flare I go straight to taking Metamucil till it calms down, just follow instructions on the bottle, I prefer the pill form and give it atleast a week to two weeks to work : ) Stay well ~KIm

    My friend sent this to me after being diagnosed with my first and hopefully only episode of colitis. I've been an emotional wreck, worrying about my future, if I'll ever eat again, etc. But this practice was exactly what I needed to calm my mind, stay present, and take back some control. And the cramping does feel less after this! Thank you so much!

    i’m late, but i got diagnosed with ulcerative pancolitis a few months ago. extremely painful, terrible bloating and digestion. 10 minutes after i finished this, it immediately alleviated my pain, helped the trapped air, and made me feel better. thank you so much for this omg.

    Peaceful Greetings, Thank you for this video! It is the perfect combination with variation for the entire body and focusing on digestion area. I was diagnosed with IBS at 30 but noticed serious digestive issues since my 20's and now I am 40. I find that high quality probiotics, almost daily yoga, proper hydration and a healthy microbiome feeding diet are the only way to thrive. flare-ups only happen when I do not follow my known protocols. I may have IBD at this point but will not take any of the medications the western trained doctors are pushing at me. No thanks. Have a peaceful day All. Love ~Rabiah

    Thank you for this. Im in the middle of a flare (my second one) and havent been able to find a way to relax. Normally I do a workout in the morning, but I hurt and don't have the energy to do one today. Thank you for the moment of peace. 🖤

    I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2014. I tried this stretch formation for the first time today and I found it very beneficial. However, I went flying through the glass coffee table and smash it when attempting a handstand!

    I loved this class! and/but would love even more if we stayed a little longer in each pose. I was only getting a couple breaths when you asked for 5. I got a lot of the class, but would love more time. You have a lovely voice and teaching style. thank you.

    I get really lightheaded doing the first part of this but it does make my stomach and rest of my body feel better. I think I might just not be use to doing it but honestly not sure

      Hi! Just take it slow, your body just may not be used to doing these types of movements, always feel free to pause the video and then resume when feeling better, it could also be your breathing, too much oxygen or deep breathing could cause lightheadedness, either way take it easy when needed. ☺️✨Kim

    Actually I got gout arthritis and IBD for more than two years nothing help me in flaring up its gives me insecurities nd pain alot I hope this yoga Asana help me to overcome the flare-ups

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear of what is going on with your health, I would start with a regular 3-6 day a week yoga practice and get yourself some Metamucil to take to help with the IBD. Metamucil gave me my life back, and whenever I big to see symptoms I begin to take it again. Take Care ~KIm

      As for food, I try not to stress about what I eat as it just makes me underweight. I personally eat a fish and veggies diet. Try not to eat processed food and eat fresh organic everything when possible. I also eat lots of yogurt, kefir and a probiotic. Hope this helps! ✨-Kim

    Is dairy bad for ulcerative colitis I've just been diagnosed and passing alot of blood should I take time out from work as I'm on the toilet alot 😪

      Hi John, I do fine with dairy, I’ve actually found it doesn’t matter what I eat it matters more if I remember to breath 🤪The best things I have found that help are yoga and Metamucil. 😊Be well ~Kim

      my suggestion wud be please avoid dairy products.. for some people it may not mattr much but for majority dairy products will cause problems for IBD. I have been off dairy since a year and I feel much better

    These poses definitely help with the cramps. I am unable to take the meds prescribed and struggled with 3 months of flaring until I started taking Bromelain and Boswellia Serrata 3 times daily. I also started doing the poses in this video, a 15 minute qigong practice and 15 minutes of meditation daily when i began the herbal supplements.. I'm still flaring but after 4 weeks of taking the herbal supplements I'm happy to say things have improved immeasurably. After 6 weeks 82% of patients in a study involving these supplements achieved remission so I'm very hopeful. Horrible disease!!! Thank you for sharing this video. 🙏

      Also thanks very much for the information. If you interested you can try another great supplement named "Quingdai". Its have amazing remission rate (around 80). Typically tooked together with curcumin and wormwood

      Hi! No Metamucil is fiber, it’s used to bulk up your stool, so you won’t have as many bathroom trips! I think it’s magic 😀 vsl3 is a great probiotic to use, I like that and Visbiome. Take care ~ Kim 🦋

      Hi, What I have come to realize is a lot of it depends on my mental state. If I am able to keep even keeled, not stress, or over analyze and just let things happen I do better and if I do have a flare it is very short lived. I do yoga everyday and try to swim most days which is very relaxing to me. Find what relaxes you and do lots of it!! Eat wholefoods, lots of fruit and vegetables and fish. The only manifestations I do are gratitude and reminding myself daily it's all going to workout and stressing doesn't help anything. ☺️ Be Well 💜 ~Kim

      HI, so sorry your suffering right now. What I have found is if I over analyze what I eat I do worse. So just try to eat a healthy well rounded diet. I just try to stay away from stimulants like coffee and alcohol and any junk food especially soda and only small amounts of sugar. Eating mostly fresh cooked vegetables, grains, rice, pasta, some seafood and dairy, but I do have a kid so it's not always easy to eat only fresh food : ) Biggest thing is to not stress about what you eat. I am a huge proponent of Metamucil if you can get yourself some I highly recommend it!! Good Luck ~KIm

      Hi there, always ask your Dr. first when you are able to start back up with your Yoga practice. Once you know if it's ok, start off gently doing any Yoga practice, never pushing yourself too much. Take good care 🙏 Kim

      Hi! I try to eat as many whole foods as possible and minimize overly processed food. However i’ve noticed when I obsess on what I’m eating, I end up loosing weight and feeling worse, the stress from over analyzing food doesn’t help. Just eat real food 😊

    Hi! Thanks for this! Very helpful. Apologies for the long info. I've faced constipation issues since childhood, and occasionally heartburn, gas etc. Since Feb 2021 I've had pressure sensation and mild pain in my anus. It varies and occasionally,..it goes away totally and I don't feel it when asleep. The muscles feel relaxed when I go for urination and worse when I'm finding difficulty in urination(little retention problem) Lately I'm experiencing stools on the looser side (1 per day), even if I poop a day after. I'm in a mess. Any advice would be very welcome and appreciated!

      Thanks for your comment, I am a firm beliver in the helaing property in adding extra fiber to your diet, and the easiest way to do that is by taking Metamucil, it will regulate you in which ever direction you need help with, constipation or diarrhea. : )Best of luck, give it a shot and play around with the dose till you get what works best for you. ~Kim

      Hi Fatima, I had the same issue . I feel pressure for urinating in middle of night. I feel my poop is not Clearing well. With yoga , the urination issue is resolved. Hoping my pooping issue will be resolved soon. I am on a strict diet for constipation. Diet helps a lot .

      Hi! I am sure you're familiar with Ayurvedic medicine right? I can tell you what works for me, if you're still having this trouble because I was dealing with ulcerative colitis/crohn's disease with fistula since 2005 running to bathroom 6-10 times per day, but now its controlled with Prayer, some medicine. Also just started yoga from Kim on this channel.
      I started with Chiruvilwadi kashayam from Kerala, that actually helped me a lot with my fistula problems also helped me to heal my guts and took mesalamine 3.6g. Per day. Both of these have helped me so much. Again that's what worked for me. Hopefully this will give you some ideas. Take care! God bless!

      I try to eat lots of real food, and stay away from processed food (although it's hard) lots of fruit and vegetables and fish. I also rely on adding lots of probiotics and fiber either with food or with supplements I will link to. ☺️ Be well! ~Kim

      The best thing is to eat a whole food diet and to eliminate packaged processed foods as much as possible. I also take a probiotic, fiber supplement, and eat yogurt and kefir.

    Madam Can this yoga do with stomach ulcers and leftside pain of navel patients let me know madam i request you because i have been suffering from one year doctor done endoscopy they said stomach erosions present in antrum but my symptoms are pain in left side of the navel can i do this yoga or not plz tell me i request you i hope you will give a reply to me.

    I am currently in a severe stage of Crohn's disease (even though I feel good). Can this heal my GI tract? I am running out of options and feeling quite hopeless.

      HI Thanks for your comment! So Yoga as a daily practice will DEF. help your GI tract, as well as meditation, a decent diet and my saving grace is Metamucil! When I am in a severe Colitis flare I work my up to 7 Metamucil pills three times a day with two full glasses of water each time. Not only does it stop frequent bathroom trips it will slowly put you into remission, as which point slowly removing one pill at a time, wean your self off of it. Hope this helps!
