What else should we do to the old Ford? I know I want to do a headliner for sure, but what else…?
Use simple green to clean the crud for now power wash get her running and paint blue
Making me wanna drag mine out and get it back running and driving
You should!
Oh boy I put spacers on my jeep once and about 2 weeks later my jeep started shaking and one day shortly after my front driver side wheel broke off and flew into a field. I guess I didn’t put them on tight enough or something. You shouldn’t worry though lol
Ya that’s what I’m scared of
That song is awesome 😎
The lady from the liquor store?
@@RealSteelFabrications Yeah definitely a good laugh
Brad Howard -girl from the liquor store
Your boots look good big man. I like them.
Thank you! We might be rocking something nicer very soon… have a meeting today
@@RealSteelFabrications sweet!
I absolutely love it I'm a mopar guy but I love this truck So sweet! Good job father and son❤❤
Glad you like it!
good video! loving this series i daily drive a 92 f150 and working on a 85 f150!
Appreciate it! Would love to see your project 85, feel free to share it on our Facebook group, same name as the channel
Love the video! Keep up the great work! That ol' brick cleaned up nice.
Thanks! Will do!
For about $190 from LMC Truck you could have replaced the entire headlight/sidemarker assembly. Safer that way.
And I just found this channel, so hopefully those spacers won't kill you and I'll get to enjoy more content.
Good luck!
Trying to be as cheap as possible on this truck. The spacers scare me… not gonna lie
@@RealSteelFabricationsyou’ll be fine with spacers. Just check the torque on them after a while.
It looks good after a clean up and the headlights are sooo much brighter after changing them. The new wheels and tires look good too.
I think so too! Still a lot more that can be done to make it look better though.
Give it a new paint job and just fully restore it. That would be amazing. Keep up the great work man
A lot of work for a long bed 2wd
yeah true. But I absolutely love your videos and would love to see more work done to a classic truck like this
Use a leaf blower to bulk blow the stuff outa the cab
Nice truck
Thanks 👍
Love keeping old iron alive. Keep at it. I think a head gasket is definitely in your future. Lots of pressure in that cooling system.
I hope not! Very possible though
CHEK the ECU unit in cab. Capacitors go bad and throws whole engine trans off
Looks good!! Plain and simple changes!! 👍👍
Thank you! What else should we do?
@@RealSteelFabrications put a little $ into and get it back to good condition… if u think it’s worth it… those can run for a long time! Or just take it 4 wheelin and see if it stays together!
@@RealSteelFabrications you should find a matching hood that isn’t in as bad of a shape as the old one
Looking good man wat LEDs you used for the guages and heat and radio controls looks really good all lit up
Thanks. That’s actually factory
@@RealSteelFabrications damn there bright as hell did you replace the factory bulbs didnt know they would be that bright mines were all dimmed as hell on my 86 cutlass had to switch them out
Intake gaskets went bad on my 4.9, caused some lean running conditions.
I had the same color my was a 91. Good times.
Good color combo
Project Farm gave that 3M restoration kit a “very impressive” top spot rating. I’ll probably put that to the test on my 95 OBS F150 that I just got ($1000 “just needs a starter” marketplace find).
I’ve had good luck with TechMax LED headlights from Amazon. Have them on all my vehicles, except for the one that has factory LEDs.
Those OBS F150s are becoming popular again., Probably because they’re so easy and fairly cheap to work on. They may be become the next Fox bodies!
I’d give the interior another nice detail and maybe a seat cover or new seat, fix up the headliner, get everything working as it should. Definitely work on that radiator and cooling system , make sure you’ve got no head gasket leaks. Those 300/4.9s are practically indestructible, but if that rear oil seal starts leaking, you need to get on it right away or you’ll be locking that engine up fast!
The most of all, have fun with it!
You got it looking pretty good!!!
Thanks! A lot better than it was
I'm checking out the mods on this car! Gotta say, the initial look had me raising an eyebrow.Haha
lol, she’s rough
Definitely rebuild the engine first. Next the drivetrain. Those are great starting points with this cool rig.
Might sell it
Great cinematics Devon! LOL at the girlfriends sweatshirt. does it say "but not to me" on the front? As always, like to see Dad's guidance to keep you out of trouble.
Appreciate it! She’s a liar, obviously size doesn’t matter to her…. ;)
Its nice to see Old trucks get a second chance. Maybe you could fix the bed and that gap in the rear glass?
Got the rear glass fixed now
Id get those adapters on the rims off right away and get some with the hub centric ring to run. The flat back spacers like that are the ones that get people hurt cause no matter how tight the lugs are they move on the hub without the ring
Ya they scare me
Nice looking ride, they don't exist anymore here in the rust belt. Bang out the bed dents and you're good!
dude this thing turned out soo nice i like it even when I'm not a ford guy. whats your plans for it?
It needs a lot more cleaning but has came along nicely. She’s in rough shape, but just a good ole work truck that’ll keep on working! I would like to put a headliner in it, exhaust, headache rack, not for sure what else. Really just want to use it. I’m a Dodge guy myself, but can respect all makes, especially an inline 300.
@@RealSteelFabrications Yeah they say thats one of the best I6 engines around
but what an incredible channel, I really liked the progress you made on that truck, in the minute 13:28 when you took your foot off the clutch, which is that liquid sound it makes I have a 93 f150 and it does the same thing, do you think you know what it could be? and by the way I have the same problem that it doesn't want to start so I have to change the gas tank and the pump, very good video greetings from Mexico! 👍🏼
Appreciate it! Not for sure what that fluid sound is. Might be the slave cylinder needing to be bled
Back in the day when they made a real truck
You got that right!
It’s good to see this puppy going lol
She’s running like a top!
Get a cap and add some loctite to the lugs to prevent loooosing
She’s sold now
Use a leaf blower to clean interior and underhood
Dig your content. Keep on keepin on. 🤙🏽
Highly appreciate it! Much more to come
u should put the hood back on
Need to get some bolts and will
👍 Nikki’s hoodie lol 😂
You need one?
@@RealSteelFabrications lol maybe 👀
Restore it completely
Wish it was a shortbed for restoring, or at least 4wd
Either way make it nice i used to have the same mentality but these trucks are special
are you gonna do more videos on this truck?
No longer have it
Nice camera angles
Thanks!
Please torque those adapters
Need too
What sprays did you use to clean the dash and bench seat?
Tuff Stuff, you can get it about anywhere and works decent
@@RealSteelFabrications right on
love these trucks, love the video
Glad you like them! Thinking about getting another.
10 min wash 😂 dirty as she was more like 1 hour or 2 wash. You def a young man learning where the bright light switch is at .
She was very dirty
Get some seats out of a newer ish model explorer and install them other than that it’s looking 100% better than it did also should throw a flatbed on it would definitely give it a old farm truck look than
Thinking about selling it
If I was you I'd have used an air compressor with blow gun and blown everything out from the cab way faster than vacuum (wear a good mask) and gets to places you can't. Same for when cleaning the plastics air gets into cracks and crevices
Ya would have been much faster
Like
Thanks!
How much did you get it for?
$650
I would remove the factory cardboard headliner and take it to a local upholstery shop to re-skin it with a close to factory color cloth. The aftermarket headliners kits don't fit right, ask me how I know!!! Ugh!!
Will buy the fabric and do a how to on it
Okay, cool! @@RealSteelFabrications
Go 6
Need s a new bed
Ya it’s rough
My boy you got a girlfriend?
Yessir
Dimmer switch old school nothing new
