Immaculate Consumptive Interview (Nick Cave, JG Thirlwell) on Videowave

- Only an excerpt of a longer version, which will be converted within the next century. Mark Almond and Lydia Lunch comprised the Immaculate Consumptive tour. Here Merle Ginsberg copes with the inebriated duo Nick and Clint. Apparently, Nick likes Joy Division. Separate interviews were conducted with Lydia Lunch and Marc Almond.

This is the only time I’ve seen a video or photo of Jim/Clint laughing. In all other scenes his expression is like Mothra.
Thirwell's hair probably had it's own fan club, it's incredible.
Best hair ever! He has like a built in Racoon Hat going on. Super cool.
JGT is funny as hell in this
That Scrapping Feutus chap is havin himself a laugh.
I love this so hard.
Right?!
Couple of private school boys snickering at being naughty to the teacher -- and I've read enough of RedRightHand to know Herr Cave would basically agree, although he uses the word "demented" rather than 'naughty.' Old Jim seems to have mellowed too -- he doesn't insult this interviewer even once: ua-cam.com/video/7f6NJiKHFh8/v-deo.html
"His life's an open book, scrambled in his own bloooooooood"
That song ruined their friendship. Nick's obviously not got a sense of humour.

Do you have the Lydia Lunch/Marc Almond one?
Part of the Lydia Lunch interview is online. The Marc Almond is on a waiting list for conversion, along with the other parts.
Love to see that also
theyre just taking the piss... having a laugh...
interviewers too serious, should have rolled with it...
There is no comparison to Joy Division, not anyway what so ever.
Did someone make that comparison or something? They aren't even from the same planet. As great as Ian Curtis was, he was great for a very short amount of time. Jim has been prolific as hell for 40 years, the fact that he stayed alive and persisted on his music and didn't off himself makes him pretty fucking brave. I am a lifelong Joy Division fan, and I just see no relation really. I don't know why anyone even mentioned Ian.
Rachael Ortmann there’s no big similarity but they do all fit within the post-punk genre, especially during this era of Thirlwell and Cage’s career, so I kinda get why a journalist like this might think to bring them up. I also can see why they would resent the comparison though because all three are quite different regardless of their similarities.
He kinda became that on Your Funeral My Trial though, one of the few albums to capture the Joy Divisiony atmosphere
ppl that comparing anything to stuff like Joy Division or something from ''top''
usually they knew 1 or 2 bands max.. sounds like Joy Division but there
is a lot bands that made stuff like Joy before Joy.. period
