@@privateprivate2421 the next time she needed it cut, I found out she didn't think it was perfect and didn't want me to touch it again. Turned out she was just being nice to me at the time. lol
Love this cut Sam Villa Hair Tutorials, after watching it twice I cut my hair this way. Even with bangs my hair was long enough to cut enough to almost blend my bangs in. This is how I wanted the hair stylist to cut it 2 months ago. Instead of cutting off all the dead hair she barely snipped off anything leaving me with ends that were dead, dry and looked like a witches broom. Won't be needing to see a stylist anymore. Thank you for doing this tutorial.
Since the first uk lockdown, because I am in the 'at risk' group and we have not been into 'normal' places, I've been cutting my wife's long thick hair using this technique. My wife showed me your vids, and even though I've _never_ cut hair before, and I'm still nervous each time, the results are sooo amazing. Thank you very much
I have been looking for a tutorial on how to do this cut forever! The best part is having the hair surrounding the face in the front still long but layered! Awesome! Thank you so very much!
Tried this technique on my hair today and the result looks fantastic. I am not a hairdresser, and i was looking for a tutorial to cut my hair at home cause of corona. This was very easy to follow. Super happy about it. Totally recommend to try it 😊
That is such a wonderful technique because all the time they want their layers left long and you can’t even tell where the layer starts or end it is perfect. Thank you so much and the way you teach it is so learning friendly. Thank you so much.
Andrew Carothers, I’m not a pro, but using your friendly straightforward instructions was able to style my own hair and it came out great! Probably not perfect, but close enough. Thank you!
My hairdresser retired 💔 therefore it’s been so hard to find someone who can do my hair this way. Thank you so much for this video. I watched the video a few times to make sure I understood it very well. My hair came out very pretty like this. Love love love it! ✨✨
This is the type of layering I like to do for my own texture and it's nice and simple. I have to thin out more because of so much hair. He is a great teacher!🖤
From now on i will ask my hairdresser to cut it medium length straight. And after that i will do this on myself. I already did it this way, and i am very pleased. My hand hurt a little bit, but it is ok. I am happyer than i would have been if i went to the hairdresser. If you understand the logic of the technique, you can cut it the way you want. Thanx a lot! I tried other techniques bit this is the easyest for me. Pretty fast too
I would LOVE to have my hair cut by this guy! I have fine hair just above shoulders, but lots of it and so it can get quite bulky and look like a pair of heavy curtains that doesn't move! I've lost count of the hairdressers who have sliced into it to take out the weight and left me with such wispy ends it actually looks damaged. Now we're in lockdown, I'm going to try this myself!
Absolutely love this channel 💖. Watching this video for I-dunno-I-have-lost count-times before I proceed for my haircut today . Been doing my own haircuts for 2-3 years now and after I watched this, my looks got better than ever. I have naturally wavy -going-on-moderate curls and this changes my entire look....always for the better of course! . This look is going to look bomb on both straight and curly hair. Now my friends ask me to be their own hairdresser 😂 .
This is a great hair cutting technique for hair just being one long length that has breakage at the same time from being over proccessed or breakage from brushing or combing snarls out of the hair. The cut would give the strands that have been broken a more uniform, smoother healthier look, style and feel while still maintaining length. Absolutely ingenious haircutting design and development.💡💇
I cut my own hair at home, (I know, I know, big No, No!) but I do a version of this on my naturally curly hair and it really works! My hair has a nice overall shape and the curls are big and bouncy! I love these videos! They’re so informative! Thank you!
I’ve cut my own hair all my life. I was looking for something different. I have 2C curls and long hair and am curious how this would look. I’d love to see what your’s looks like!
I was thinking to myself omg those clips look like my favorite clips.... Then I realized they are the same clips...I didn't realize what brand I had bought and the connection ! Love them!!!!! Gorilla grip 🤣 Anywho, freaking great instructing, love this technique and love your instruction. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. You are so good with your instructions. I just used this technique on my own hair. I have tried various different layering techniques and never liked how they looked on my very thin, baby fine grey hair. This is just what I've been wanting. I didn't have clips so had to shift my hair around and it was flyaway because I had washed it last night. Next time I do this I will probably own clips and wait another day when my hair has settled down so it's not so hard to work with. Nevertheless, I like the way my hair looks and I plan to use your layering technique from now on.
Thank you ❤ it's Always good too learn other was and Techniques of cutting layers graduated in cosmetology 96"and I'm still learning wit your tutorials.
I cut my own long waist hair as soon as I saw this technique and it was pretty easy and precise. I wear it straight or curly. And it's a really comfortable cut to work with. Thanks again. So educational.
@@Irene-zk8fk Do you leave the longest layer, from occipital bone downwards at back, down and then pick up the rest to do this with your long hair? I have long hair too but want to keep the length.
@@aletheialouise I wanted some fresh look so I cut around 5 inches of my length, just below the shoulder. I divide the head in 4 sections and bring all the hair up to the crown guideline, like in the video. If you want to keep your length I will find a big disconnection after. I used to bring all my hair to one single point on my forehead and cut.
great job making this tutorial! u are a good teacher! we couldn’t see the bottom the first time u let the hair down after cutting…but then u raised it up & we could see it think i will try it
I have long layers, mid back length hair with body & some wave. It's exactly like your tutorial for long layers with face framing. I wanted to get a modified shag (I am transitioning from dying my roots to embrace my silver Lion's mane). This is Fantastic!! I will make the front hit at my mouth since my cowlicks make bangs not possible. The deep cuts will take some bulk + weight I get on my sides + corners. I wish I could cut it myself, but I will bring this to my stylist. ☆☆☆☆☆ You teach so well and show your technique without blocking the viewer's sight line.

I love this cut! I have highly damaged hair from over processing with holes in the crown of my head. My hair is fine and has no shape. It is very hard to style. I just did this cut, step by step, to my own hair and it hit my split ends well and added a shape back to my weird looking hair! Thank you so much!

Best DIY layered haircut, I found. Most realistic doing yourself. Has to be kept simple.
