Honestly the end of Phil's funeral episode makes me tear up every time. The way Sophia says "My baby is gone" and how Angela hugs her...might as well have stabbed me in the heart.
This is reminds me of when my grandma died back in 2016. Felt like my heart just got stabbed and never forget how much sadness and grief I had for 3 months since June of 2016. As the day she passed, I was like I can’t go to school or try to read a eulogy of her life. It took me hard the youngest grandson of 14 years old losing a grandmother. It aches my until the following Monday will mark 7 years since her passing. I wanna go back. As it reflects my feelings about her wake and funeral I wanted to say how I got to spend time with her for 14 years before she went home with her family in heaven.
😂I never caught that part of the sitcom episode. My guess is that you are of average height for a woman instead of sometimes feeling angry whenever being asked the same question. Like more than one of us women from the Bernard family. Good thing all in North America are allowed to have differing opinions on what leadership questions sometimes looks and sounds like.
Lowkey Angela was one of the best characters on the show. She didn't care that Phil liked to wear dresses and lingerie. It was what made him happy, and she had no problem honoring his wish to be buried in something he liked to wear. All that mattered to her was that he was a good husband and father. She knew that his taste in clothing had nothing to do with whether he was a good or bad person - it was just a part of him, like how Blanche liked to dress flashy and sexy, or how Rose liked to dress cozy. We need more Angelas in life.
Dorothy's eulogy was perfect. I loved this show growing up. I used to watch this with my Grandma. She passed away last year and Sophia always reminded me of my Grandma. 🌹
I too watched this with my Grandma. We were so close! I stayed nearly every weekend at her house, growing up. Saturday night, this show would be on and we’d watch it together. Such wonderful memories… cannot ever be replaced. ❤

"Have you ever given a eulogy, I mean at a funeral?" "No Rose, at a pie-eating contest." When writers write you can HEAR them speaking, each one is so incredibly characteristic.
People don't realize I could speak out loud in front of a group of people so my niece got upset when I wouldn't give a eulogy for my sister. I loved my sister, but words were not easy for me to express in front of anyone. I basically an introvert.

19:35 The clip-clop of Blanche's shoes is always the best ASMR. lol
Love you all Golden Girls. You made so many people laugh and love at their own tragedies in life. 😊
They make me laugh every time I watch doesn’t matter how many times
Rose: why are you wearing back? Did you just come from a funeral?
Dorothy : No Rose, we were singing back up for Johnny Cash!
😂😂
I loved how Blanche ended this moment at 16:56.
I ve discovered Golden Girls this year( from a Gumball's episode;)This show was not a thing in France. I am gonna bingewatch it cause I am in love with Dorothy's class, Rose's funny kindness and Blanche's accent!
Oh this never gets old even as a kid growing up in the late 80s early 90s I loved this show still do.
