Well it explains why in the full episode. Rebecca asks Blanche to come and talk to the doctor to get her more on board, when Blanche is talking to the other 3 she asks them to be there for support and Rebecca agrees to it. I can see why its silly out of context though lol.

I think of all the girls, Rose's two daughters shown are the absolute worst. For her to be so sweet and kind-hearted to have such witchy daughters is actually unbelievable. I guess those apples fell very far from the tree.
This show was way ahead of its time. 👍Some of the most illicit social issues were portrayed in such a beautiful and humanly manner. Always a pleasure to watch this show over. 🤗

So I agree with what you said that it was a controversy for the big TV bosses at that time to display four actresses playing vital Sexual women. I was a 30 year old male who watched the show almost every week. Most 50 years old older women though are like Blanche though. So I and my friends didn't see controversy we just saw an entertaining show that most viewers could relate to. I hated a lot of the controversial topics. Also after season 3, the show's quality significantly decreased. We liked the show for the actresses and the comedy

Blanche was always my favorite character!
To me Blanche had great storylines when it came to family drama and estrangement.
