Nice presentation on the WS-2902A, What was the make/model of the 2-way radio that you show next to the weather monitor display? Currently, the manufacturer has lower prices than are available on Amazon.
Hey Stan, nice video and very helpful. I have a couple questions: what size conduit did you use and is it standard or rigid? How deep did you go into the ground and did you use concrete? Thank you sir!
I have enjoyed my 2902A for about 2-1/2 years outside of two developments: 1) at the one-year mark, the rain assembly failed and had to be replaced, and 2) last week, the Temperature - Humidity sensor failed and cannot be replaced, requiring the entire array to be purchased for >$100. Reviewing scores of reviews only, an impressive number of reviews reports their 2902A failed at approximately 2-1/2 years. Like the great majority of these reviewers, I believe this lifespan is unacceptable, especially for a weather station in a temperate mid-Atlantic climate. Not certain if I will be continuing with ambient weather's product line, since spending ~$80 a year for parts and sensory array replacement is surely not a high-value proposition.
While the devices connect to the console with their own wireless connection, I do not see a way to download from the console with out a wifi internet connection.
@@stanmcdaniel4907 Hey STan I have another question. I am looking to broadcast my weather while surf fishing in the beach. Do you know if a wireless hotspot would allow me to do that?

Thanks, as I said the WS-2902A was so easy to set up. The radio is a Kenwood TS-2000.

It's a standard chain link fence 10" top rail. I jabbed it about an inch into the ground the tie wrapped it to the fence post.
Wowww
Thanks Trina May
WC anytime
Wow thats cool.. Amazon is very expensive sending here in Singapore.. can afford on lazada only.. Lol
I know but Amazon is free shipping here. Not a bad deal.
great video! what type of pole is that?
It's the top rail for a chain link fence.
Where do you purchase the mounting pole
Good question, it is a galvanized top fence rail from Home Depot. Thanks for watching.
You've had this a year now, how's it holding up? How often does it send the info to the base?
It's working well, no problems at all. Just watching it, it looks like it sends every 15 seconds.
cool! how is it after a couple of months use? 73s
Still working great, love it. Thanks for watching.
Does this station have some Phone app?

That would stink. So far no problems with mine. I had a La Crosse before this one and did have problems with it so moved to Ambient.
Hey Stan, is it possible to operate this station without internet conection and dowload data manually? Thanks a lot!

@@stanmcdaniel4907 Thank you!

Still working well, no problems at all.
Now the box is frowning at you because you kicked him LOL.
No more kicking of the box!!!
Dont get bloody cut toward your buddy.
Can this be used portable while not near internet?
Yes, it uses its own signal to send to the console.
Thank you Stan.
Thank you Stan.

@@dennisdischler6541 Since the station shoots the signal right through the router, I can't see what that would not work. Let us know.
wifi not connecting in my mobile
Strange, hope you get it fixed!

WEATHER NERD!!!!
Yes Sir!!!
How much?
Under $200 US on Amazon.
@@stanmcdaniel4907 Thanks
I just ordered one from Amazon for $169.99 on Amazon. It's about $153 form the Ambient Weather's website but their shipping is outrageous.
I think that's what I paid too. @@MucaroBoricua
