      @@SliderFury1 It will be, 1st time I towed with mine it had 78 miles on the odometer. 4 pallets(3k lbs each) of shingles, underlayments, flashing, nails air compressors, guns, ladders, 4 man crew etc… probably 16-17k. Had my doubts after forklift loaded everything. Soon as I hit the gas all doubts were gone. Hard city towing too, couldnt go a block without hitting a stop sign or a light.

      @@lakeview701243.73 gears? I was pretty conflicted about whether or not I should have gotten the 4,30s but after test driving a truck with each, I liked how the one with the 3.73s drove better, and read enough stuff to make me think that 4.30 was probably overkill for my towing applications (and I don't want massive tires, will probably gets 295/65r20s at some point, but never 37s).

    Do a comparison on this truck and a Silverado 2500LT. The LT interior blows this one away. This one has the 48 vs 36 gas tank and LED lights which is nice. But $50 LED bulbs work great on the LT. You can also get a center console on the LT. And the LT is the same price if not less.

    I just picked mine up on 06/03 the XLT it had the XLT premium package also the FX4 off road package it was a customer order that was never picked up it also has the long bed, my 23 F 350 was a lemon at 1500 miles a charging system fault that could not be fixed, yes I went right back to ford thanks for sharing your video

    Some of the GM comments on here are interesting. Compare the 7.3 with 4:30 gears to the 3:73 in the Silverado on a 20k seed tender or a fuel trailer parked in a corn field. Then you will understand why the f250 is a better truck.

  • @CornFed_3

    Ram offers the 50-gallon optional fuel tank on all long beds, 2500 or 3500. And the Ford 7.3L needs all the fuel it can get it, they aren’t fuel efficient in any way.

    • @SliderFury1
      @SliderFury1 Місяць тому +2

      Yeah, but the issue with Ram is that dealers NEVER order a truck with that bigger tank, you have to order one yourself and not everyone is interested in doing that (or waiting around for it). Ford, if it's a long bed (which there are not a whole lot but there's some) it's got the bigger tank.
      I agree the 7.3 is a gas guzzler though, but it's actually still a bit better overall than the 6.4 Hemi while having quite a bit more power. The Chevy 6.6 is a nice compromise between power and fuel economy.

    • @CornFed_3
      @CornFed_3 Місяць тому

      @@SliderFury1, ordering trucks is such a better option than buying off the lot. I’ll never understand why people refuse to order. Get the exact build you want and be happy with it. I do wish it was standard on long beds though.

    • @joshuaatkinson5810
      @joshuaatkinson5810 Місяць тому

      Ehh, they are decently efficient with the 10 speed for what they are. 50 gallon tank is available on the long bed with a 7.3.
      15-16 mpg is pretty damn impressive on a 1 ton with a big block. My z71 5.3 averages 13 with a leveling kit and 35’s.

    Boy you must have had Biden’s advisors giving you your “facts” for this video because they are very wrong 😂.
    My 2022 LT 2500 has higher axle ratings, GVWR and payload ratings and it’s just a short bed. A 2024 has a higher GVWR even than my truck. So you are very incorrect in saying this 250 will beat a 3500 Chevy. It’s behind a 2500 Chevy. And also, Chevy does not require any special packages or “rear gearing 🙄” to get the max tow ratings.
    And I’m not going to comment on your click bait/pot stirring remarks other than to say I know they are there.

    • @jeffwill4923
      @jeffwill4923 Місяць тому +2

      He's definitely off here because max payload is on 6.8L not 7.3L. GM is very competitive on 3/4 trims vs 7.3L payload numbers. I was looking at some charts online with both.

    • @matthewanderson9912
      @matthewanderson9912 Місяць тому

      @@jeffwill4923 just about every gas 2500 GM will have over 3,300 pounds of payload and it’s not uncommon to get them over 3500. My 2022 LT is at 3527. A friend of mine has a new 2024 Custom that’s 3600 even. And just about every GM gas 2500 will have the maximum available tow rating from GM (16,000 bumper pull and 18,300 I think gooseneck) with no special options required. The only thing that will lower that is 17” wheels. I don’t even think the 10,000 GVWR derate lowers it now.
      This is probably JB just trying to stir up the GM guys. Maybe even specifically me with his “7.3 is king” and gearing comments 🤣.

      @@jeffwill4923 the water jackets in the block between the cylinders is just asking for headgasket trouble. The small driveshaft that drives the oil pump is overly complicated too.
      I recommended one to my cousin a couple years ago. He is a Ford guy so it was Ford or nothing for him. I don’t think he has had problems with the engine specifically but he has had some issues with the truck.
