Lemon Pound Cake Batter
1 cup butter, softened
2 1/2 cups of sugar
6 egg yolks
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 8oz container sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon lemon extract
Meringue
6 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
Frozen blueberries
Smuckers blueberry preserves
Lemon Pound Cake Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 fresh lemon (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp lemon extract
Follow the video for instructions on how to make the pound cake.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Cake looks great. What does the merang do to the cake other than just doing the 6 whole eggs
It makes the texture a little softer to me, but gives it that traditional pound cake taste without having that super dense texture

Hey Family! I have made this before and it was a HUGE IT! Now I am trying to decide if I should make it again or go with your cinnamon swirl cake (with my twist of course) for my Bishop. Which one do you think Sis? Also, would you consider making another Cinnamon swirl cake video since some of the footage was lost?
The lemon blueberry is always a hit… you make the cinnamon swirl the same way.
The base of the cake is the same, the only difference is the cinnamon filling and use only vanilla extract instead of lemon. You swirl in the cinnamon filling instead of the blueberries.

You can use it but, It may change the texture of the cake because cake flour is less dense than all purpose flour.

I haven’t made it with blackberries, but you can use any topping. Also, no I don’t ship cakes
