I had to make 4 of these cakes in the last 4 days because everyone in my family loved it and asked for one. Lol I haven't even had a chance to try it. I guess it's a hit in many households in my large family.

I love your videos! Listening to you talk is very calming. I found you last week when trying to learn how to frost a smooth cake for my daughter's birthday next month. I can already tell your recipes and videos are going to make me gain weight! :-) I've always loved baking since I was a child; but with my career and children, I haven't had as much time to do it in recent years. I have never been great at decorating cakes, cookies, or cupcakes; but with your videos I have renewed my love of baking, and now I'm adding some new skills too. Your Mascarpone berry cake made everything that I am an amazing baker ha! Now on to this one. I saw that some people don't use the yolk in the the recipe so that the cake would not look yellow in the center. Is this true and does the yolk make a big difference in using it or not?

I wouldn't recommend it. It won't bake evenly and will be more dense.

I’m sorry I don’t have specific recipes for a mini. You could try halving the recipe but also make sure you adjust the baking time and pan sizes accordingly. Also, checkout this site which specifically creates smaller recipes. Good luck!
