26 HP Kohler Twin Knock. SV375 3022 Kohler Timing Gear Rattle.

Internal Knocking Noise in 2013 26 HP Twin Cylinder Kohler. Loose Timing Gear in SV375 3022 Model is the source of the noise.

I'm here because I have a craftsman with a Kohler 26hp an makes the same knocking sound .. but runs fine so I'm thinking I might have the same problem

I'm still using mine. I didn't find anything wrong except the loose gear. I put it back together and put it back to work. I'll be using it today.

I put it back in. I've put over 100 hrs. on it, since. It sounds like a 2N Ford Tractor. The Timing Gear is loose on the shaft and key but It still works.
