First and foremost, this is a 101% completion video! Massive thanks to ModernXP’s video for the highly optimized routing that I managed to follow for my own recording. This game would’ve been even more frustrating without it hahah This might be the first 101% seamless longplay using accurate Nintendo 64 output - most other optimized videos use emulation that isn’t very accurate. Also worth noting is that 101% completion doesn’t require you to collect *everything*. The game has far too many coins that you don’t need as they’re only used for upgrades and there are also more bananas than needed. For each stage you need 75 bananas to get the banana token for the respective monkey, whilst there’s actually a total of 100 per stage. I did however collect most of the bananas as well as most of the coins, but you might see me skip over a few time consuming bananas/coins towards the end of stages.

On my 30th birthday last year December, I went to a flea market where I know two retro game stores, they both know me us my sister very well, for $100 bucks, he let me pick a good handful of free n64 games which was this donkey Kong 64, two Zelda ocarina of time and Majora's Mask, Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Glover, and banjo kazooie which I thought it was worth getting buying, and my mom sister were so proud of me finally getting something that we never had for ourselves long ago when the N64 was around in 98/99 and 2000! So glad I bought a N64 for my 30th birthday!
I bet right now Banjo and Kazooie are living their happy peaceful lives after defeating Gruntilda and saved Tooty same with Conker after his adventure in Conker’s Pocket Tales during this story of Donkey Kong

DK64 and Banjo-Kazooie, since they were both developed in the same era by Rare, have tons of similarities, especially when it comes to audio design. I absolutely loved Banjo-Kazooie and its sequel but I've never played DK64... I'll fix this big mistake soon!
I still wish the switch had a 'real' virtual console service but you gotta get what you can take. Also wish you could simply add n64 games to your nintendo online account much cheaper.
