Thanks for this video and the Amazon link for the kit. I bought a kit at Ace, but it didn't have the correct graphite washer. I don't know what I'd do without UA-cam tutorials! 🤗
Thanks for the links and video! This helped me a ton because I have this same one and needed that kit. I did have issues getting my green cap off, the piece inside was stuck
I am following your very helpful video to repair mine. I am at 0:45 time point in your video, but can't go beyond that. The valve stem isn't coming out even after turning and pulling with a wrench. Any suggestion? Spray WD40?
Dont you have to tighten with a tool that piece as well on minute 8:54? I ask because mine was leaking a bit of water out through it for 2-3 seconds everytime I closed the faucet so I tighten it a bit with my tool and it stopped leaking.
I replaced a second one at my place and the same thing happened. I took it apart again and saw I pinched the flapper part so I reused the old one..... that worked for me
Great question..... not sure. Maybe you could take yours apart to see if the parts look the same. You could put it back together if it isn't. Just make sure you have the water shut off inside
@@DIYinspiredLewisBrantner Thank you. It doesn't leak but part of the stem that's connected to the nut you take off is broken and the handle doesn't fit right. So I'm wanting to replace the valve stem and nut, if it's possible.
@@DIYinspiredLewisBrantnerSo mine says it's a Prier C-144/C-244 on the airwave cap. I received the kit and they don't look exactly the same parts. Is the kit I ordered a multiple type fita? I ended up using the old parts along with a peerless plumbing repair assortment kit I bought a long time ago
I agree..... it is louder than what I would have liked. Lesson learned.... all the videos since then has a much softer tone. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
@@1jantheman1 correct, under the silver cap, that plastic piece needed tightened up some more. As you saw in the video, I only placed that finger tight. I removed the silver cap and then tightened it more, then put the silver cap back on and it was good to go. Thanks for clarifying
T Y. I needed help with the top vacuum valve/anti-siphon piece. 😊
Just complete this repair! Your video was perfect! Thank you SO much!
@dwestman62 thanks for taking the time to share

Nice pace. Slow and steady
Thanks for sharing your comments! Have a blessed day!
Ill give it a try on mine. Hope its easy as yours was
I know what you mean.... I have one in the back of my house leaking now so I will be completing the same exercise again

Hmmmm, my guess is it will come out..... my suggestion is just tug on it more as you turn it..... try that.

Yes, this clear plastic piece needed tightened too. I had to go back and tighten it also.

Please don't forget the steel washer between the graphite and bib receiver
If the top cap has a little drip, it’s super tight. Should I use plumbing tape to fix the drip?

@@DIYinspiredLewisBrantner I was gonna use my old one but it got destroyed since it was stuck inside. I had to beat it up pretty bad.
My spigot looks similar to yours except mine doesn't have that syphon knob on top. Would that make a difference on a valve stem repair?

Mines the same real old school one. Guess I can paste a pic
Thanks Lewis

It was helpful but I didn’t understand what you did after it leaked from the vacuum cap after installing the new parts?
it was little loose so I tightned it up and all was good
@@DIYinspiredLewisBrantner it would of been nice if you actually showed when you were tightening it
@@blueboxstar5284 yes. It's at the 8 min 30 second mark
Thanks for watching
Did you have to order the graphite washer separately?
No, it came with the kit
I just ordered the kit off your link but in your package I saw you had two kits?
Package in the video*
I ordered 2 of them. I have one of these in the front of my house and one on the rear side of my house
Wonderful..... glad the video was helpful

@Saint696Anger interesting..... not sure..... great to hear you got yours fixed
the video is good but no music is much better
I agree, the music was too loud.
Why the background music? We're trying to listen to the speaker.
Sorry...... I didn't realize it was that loud.....

Magic fix off camera. Kinda defeats the purpose.
Not following your comment, what does Magic fix off camera mean?
@@DIYinspiredLewisBrantner 10:35 you say you need to tighten a couple things up because it still leaks, but do not show you fixing it unedited.
