And if we are Middle class salaried people with 50-60k salary living in Metro cities (Chennai / Delhi), Loss of pay for one day leave will be 1.5k - 2k. Flight ticket for same route is 5.3k. So Railways for Middle class is actually not cost-saving. Only for Lower Middle class & People who are ok with travelling in Non-AC, it makes sense.
