I love the tape “handle.” In fact, my drivers license is difficult to remove from my wallet, so I made a tape “handle” to pull it out with. Simple and works great. I love your videos and thank you for sharing
I love these hacks, they’re genius. I especially love the stamping door & paper pickup hacks. I’m sure it’s going to make my stamping life so much easier. Thank u so much for sharing these ideas, it is very much appreciated.
Those were great tips! Thank you! I've laminated a few sheets of the graph paper and added a handle to the lid on the spot, and can't wait to try the shaker card and smooshing tips! Using one of the laminated sheets for outlining the spot for your card panel for use with 6x6 stamps will be very helpful also. I keep smacking myself on the head wondering why didn't I think of that!
Thank you so much for these tips!! I especially liked the one about the smushing technique using the Misti door... My mouth actually dropped open at that one !!!! Great tips !!!!
Oh JD, u popped up today, March 24, 2024! Soooo GLAD to hear yr voice 😊❤. Yr blog was a must for me... LOVED yr ideas & tutorials. Please come back!!!!!
Thanks, J D for all the very helpful hacks. I can use them all. My sister sent me the Misti before l even knew what to do with it. Now l can’t live without the darn thing. She’s such a wonderful sister. She also has given me my Big Shot, die sets she knew l wanted, the complete set of Prismacolors, the complete set of Zig’s Real Brush Markers & all kinds of the newest tools - scissors, rulers , tweezers, pencil erasers & oh yeah. the complete set of Inktense Pencils, & probably more than l can remember. I feel kinda bad for bragging but l can’t help myself. She’s the best. These came over several years time,; never did l ask or hint for them. An iPad, too. I need to shut up. I’ve been helping to raise 3 of my very young grandchildren for the last 10 years as they lost their mother back then. I have enjoyed it so much but l haven’t had much of a crafting budget & l’m sure that’s part of it but never says. I hope that doesn’t sound like a sob story because it truly wasn’t for me or my husband, but has been a struggle for those precious kids. They were only 15 months, barely 3 years old & 5 years old. The 2 youngest are girls & we are so proud of them. Two are now in high school & the baby is in middle school. All 3 make mostly “A”s & are involved in band, orchestra , & choir , & marching band. We had just become empty nesters ( 3 sons ) so we had plenty of room. They all had their own rooms so everything just fell into place. They are only here now when they choose to be. My son bought a house years ago so they live at home permanently now. I miss cooking for them, & just taking care of them & l never felt like complaining. I miss my daughter-in-law so much. She was only 25. My son has gone back to school & is still working but he’s a junior, studying Architecture (& loving it). One more year or so & he’ll be getting a good job. Geez, l didn’t plan on telling you all this stuff. Just skip over most of this. I’m really so glad l was able to care for these kids, because there was no one else & they kept me on my toes, that’s for sure. The best part is we are all extremely close & there’s nothing any one of them wouldn’t do for me or their grandpa. I don’t know what we have done without them. Our other grandchildren live out of state (4 grandkids & 2 great- grandchildren), so we don’t see them often. Sorry for going on & on. Can you tell how much l adore these kids? Must go. Thanks again. I’m slowly getting back into crafting, especially card making. Hugs.🤗🤗🤗👍❤️❤️❤️🌈🌈🌈🖌📏✏️
Your sister seem like a wonderful and generous person. As do you. I'm sure your kids and grandkids appreciate all of the love and care you continue to give them throughout the years. Crafting is a wonderful hobby to get some "me" time.
Great ideas! Thanks so much.I especially like the washi taped guide lines for the centering of large stamps. I have struggled with this and now I don't have to.
Awesome tips. Thank you so much.as I was watching you to the Shaker card part, I thought what if you put the frame face down on the bottom of the Misty, and then the back on the door of the Misty so the heavy frame sits inside of the Misty and you only have the light backing to pick up.
Just tried the Mr clean sponge and it took all off the misti and I have 3 cleaners that are made for it and didn't work as well and I was about to order another one . Thank you
Your videos are fantastic! The best learning tool is to know what can go wrong and you’re never afraid to share that. The hacks in this video are excellent and I’ll be using every one! Thanks kiddo!
Love your ideas. Thanks for sharing. I knew some but not all. Love the erasers to clean misti. I have been trying to clean mine for a while with no luck but the erasers worked great. Shaker idea and die holder idea are also great ideas that I will use. Again, thanks for sharing. I watch all your videos. Love them.
Great tips JD like laminating the sheets, a pull tab on the door, hey guess what I actually have something you have. In fact I have two of them. Love the hacks. Smiles from down under 👍😀💐
Really excellent ideas! I had to laugh at your magnetic idea for dies on the back of your Misti because one time I could not find a die anywhere and it had attached to the back of my Misti due to one of those strong bar magnets. 😂
Lots of good ideas in this. I have seen other crafters use many of them but never saw anything with them all together which is helpful and reminded me of good ideas I forgot about. I recently picked up the Misti Mouse Pad which is kind of the same solution (only much more expensive!) as your laminating idea. I'm going to add the handle and personalize my Misti too since I do videos as well and that would be a good way to advertise my channel name. :) I also loved the idea of using the back for keeping track of your metal dies! Brilliant! Not sure about the tips with Washi. I just use a bit of temp adhesive to put my cardstock down and since I also do A2's mostly, the big 6" background stamps are forgiving enough if it's not quite centered or straight. With the adhesive on the back, you don't even have to remove it as it's going to likely be stuck on an A2 card base anyway. As far as cleaning goes, I've had good success with applying a little stamp ink remover and wiping with a baby wipe followed by another clean baby wipe to take any possible residue off. It's super fast and removes the most stubborn stains. I've not had any damage doing it and also have done that method for several years. My Misti's cover grid lines are etched though so the ink remover might take off the printed lines that came in the original Misti. Then again, that might happen with the Magic eraser too. Thanks for the ideas! They're good ones! Janet
Missing you, JD. Hoping you are well and pursuing new avenues that bring you joy.
This is the best hack video on the Misti! Thanks so much.
Really great tips.
I love the tape “handle.” In fact, my drivers license is difficult to remove from my wallet, so I made a tape “handle” to pull it out with. Simple and works great. I love your videos and thank you for sharing
That’s a good idea,my wallet pockets are really tight, making it hard to get cards out. Thanks!
Lining up your die cut “shaker” is awesome! Great vid! Thank you

Always professional looking!
