Thank you for your insight and your candor. Would love to sit and share a few rounds of mead in your company. Been Asatruar since 1991; lost my original Poetic Edda, the one with the tan cover, but just ordered a new one. I can't find the old one, I think it was Lee Hollander, but ... - In my old age now (63 and counting) I am taking it upon myself to delve deeper into the realms most find scary or taboo. You really got my attention when you mentioned Fimbultyr, as he is quickly becoming one of my favorite Gods to work with, although beit on a more shamanic level as opposed to a full scale blot'.
At any rate, it was a great vid and I look forward to watching future videos from you and yours. Takk!

One of my earliest reading memories outside of Dr. Seuss, Berenstain Bears, and Watership Down is D’aulaires’ Norse Gods and Giants. My best friend and I kept checking it out from the school library and would trace all of the drawings.
When I was a teenager I found out about the Edda. Familiarity with the general narrative helped with getting through what seemed like strange poetry. The Nibelungenlied a few years later in my reading was absolutely eclipsed by the stark Edda.
