Oh, man. Don’t be a clogged drain. And give. That is the good stuff. The best cure for loneliness is not social media. It is giving. Go volunteer. Give your time to something you value. Go tell someone they did something good. Go share something you did that you value with someone else. Give! Without reservation. It is amazing.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! Ranting, satirical Steve is often fun but earnest, sincere Steve is my favorite. You're doing a great public service here. 👏
This video helped me regain my youthful masculine vigor and make time with the hot, hot ladies. Thanks to Steve my hair grew back and my wife is really angry with me, which is reassuring because before I was a vapid, two-dimensional hush of a man that my wife did not notice at all. Now she says I am a muscular, bearded stoic with money in my bank account, and she is super angry at me for being hotter than Joe Rogan. And Steve also taught me to read! Which is just grand. (That last one is kind of legitimate. So for real, thanks for the inspirational words, Steve. This is all good stuff).
Good vid Steve. I would like to add to your point about intervening when you see something wrong, I would say try your best to confront people compassionately as if they were a friend, where possible for the every day encounters.
Hi Steve! This was great! I don’t know if you have filmed a video about this but do you have any recommendations on how to encourage reading in young children and teens? :) Thank you! 🙏
Like a circus freak? Maybe don't judge people by their appearance. Just a thought. I am not covered in tattoos myself but it doesn't bother me one iota that my local barber is or that a professor is. Let's all be better, yes? I'm following your advice about not being silent when you see something wrong.
@@saintdonoghue Judging people on their appearance, surely we can agree, is wrong. Calling people circus freaks because they like tattoos - is that right?
@@garethreeves6090 I think Steve is just saying some people look like something (in his opinion they look like circus freaks), but is not making judgements of their characters. Therefore, I don't think Steve would call someone who wears tattoos a circus freak, but would probably tell them that they look like one. It is up to that person to either feel offended, take it with stride, disagree, agree, or laugh about it.
@@Alexander-vw4qb Your point about calling and telling makes no sense to me. If Steve told a sensitive overweight person that they looked like a circus elephant, I suppose you would argue that they are free to feel offended by that? As if Steve cannot do any wrong, when he could simply avoid doing harm by not making nasty comments.
@@garethreeves6090 Most people would choose to take offense at being compared to a circus elephant, of course, and whether that is the right response-- I don't know. Ideally, I think it shouldn't be the right response, which is why oversensitive people can be such a headache because we all know they are not special-- they can control their emotions just like anyone else. But we are talking of judgements of character here. No one is making any judgement when they say someone looks like something. Don't change the topic. In this video we have seen a very sane Steve. I don't think it's right to charge him for judging people's souls merely by their looks. He even talks about brave people in wheelchairs. I'm suspicious that you were just looking for any little thing you could poke at just for the pleasure of disagreeing and taking down someone a peg. And in this pursuit, you have focused on a blade of grass rather than on the forest itself. Moreover, you have failed miserably in analyzing that blade of grass because you classified it as the wrong species. But please, if you still find fault with my reasoning, I would appreciate it if you could attempt explaining it to me again, at least one more time, and perhaps I may change my mind and agree with you if you make a logical case because I still think it is not a character judgement when someone says they look like something.
Have you seen the recent article in the Atlantic titled ‘The Elite College Students Who Can’t Read Books’ ? How can we revitalise reading among the youth?
This was wonderful. Thank you so much. I need reminding of some of these every day.

Marvelous and important advice! My T has never been so high.

Thank you for compiling this list. This was needed today.
Your advice videos are always appreciated. Hopefully the A-holes aren't immortal.
Fantastic principles. I'm glad I broke your rule and listened even though I wasn't invited, since I believe we're more than just meat suits. ;)

No, you're not 'just following' advice, you're just being a hypocrite, since the 'something wrong' here is just an opinion with which you disagree.

I must resist the urge to make a response video 😬
There's still time to clean up your life, my boy! You could always come over for wine & calzones!

Telling a teenager to wait is inviting him to jump right on in.
Great, now I have chest hair. One more thing to shave. Thanks Steve!
Someone needs to do a bro watch response to this video.
Testosterone levels have been boosted after watching this.
