    Looks like Jon Capizzi just broke the stock block record with a Stock Bottom End 5.3. He ran a 4.5068 @ 155.70 at Ohio Valley today, and looks to go even faster throughout the weekend.

    Top it off with the "ICEMAN" intake by Frankenstein it's made for boost it has the burst panel an intercooler inside of it to help drop the IAT's it's all billet aluminum constructed and it's CNC ported and it's proven to pick up et and mph just go back and look at the difference it did to Leroy on Cleetus' channel he picked up like 4 tenths and like 20-25mph just by switching from the Holley high rise to the Frankenstein "Iceman" intake they have a couple other one's to choose from but in my opinion that is the best one

    Not stock block with sleeves. Stop saying world record 5.3 stock block. Stock block means how it came from the factory and the factory DID NOT PUT SLEEVES. Doesn't matter it's stamped with gm marking you put sleeves in it.

      It's just like everyone claiming LSX this and LSX that. Getting a junkyard iron block doesn't mean you have LSX lmao. If you don't have an orange block in your engine bay (gm aftermarket block) .
      And technically he is right with the stock block. The block itself is stock it's not an aftermarket RHS or GM LSX block, it's not a billet block. A resleeved block is still a stock block, these other blocks take the stock architecture of the block and then they make changes to make the block perform better and hold more power. When the engine is redesigned from its stock form to hold up to racing, that is when you get outside of the "stock block". Putting thicker sleeves upgrades the block sure but it doesn't change architecture of the block

    • @Dreadz530
      @Dreadz530 4 роки тому +1

      @@wkjeeping9053 I think your lost and that's probably why your vette is smoking. Changing sleeves doesn't change the block. The block came out of a stock GM vehicle. When we talk about a stock block in the racing world ( which your comment obviously shows you're not very close to a real racing scene ) it means that it's not an aftermarket block has nothing to do with the sleeves buddy. When we say a stock block that means it wasn't one of the specially designed and upgraded blocks that came out after the LS for example the GM LSX block which they went through and needed up certain areas prone to damage from racing and even added more head bolts then a stock block, there is the World block, RHS block. These are built and modified with racing as it's main priority. Now compare that to the $1000 engine that gets pulled from grandma's wrecked Escalade and you can see why there is the distinction with "stock block"

      @@luckautofab4461 it's kinda surprising what you can put down with a stock block nowadays. ive never had the urge or need to push a stock block past 1,100-1,200hp whether it be an aluminum or iron block myself.. but I've been around a few that made well over 1,500 and held up fairly well considering the kinda abuse they were put through. I'm a firm believer that it's all in the parts and tuning that you use at that level of power I've seen LSX and LSR blocks go to pieces at barley over 1,000whp because people were running cheap parts with little to no tuning experience and would always complain and put the blame on their block or something else stupid when it was really no one's fault but theirs lol
