- Is that plastic starter pulley broken on your Poulan chainsaw? We’ll so is mine for the third time! Let’s see what happened…again. The Stens 150-368 is total junk. Both the original and the replacement broke on first use.

Agreed. I gave it two chances and found two different problems. Now to find another one or throw this saw on the pile of non-working ones in the shop. :(
I think I'd try an OEM poulan pice of crap part to match their crappy saw . It's the best of both worlds . I ran poulan in the past and they are by far the best ten hour saw on the market . 😂😂😂😂
They're best when they are free so when they take a dump it don't matter. The latest freebie my brother gave me is running good... for now. I use it to cut up toothpicks. I use my husqvarna xp to cut the bog stuff.
I think OEM is going to be the only way I get another 10 hours out of this saw. Or I should just order a new coil and wire for the old McCulloch and throw the other 3 in the garbage can. I'll have to keep an eye out for a Stihl on the cheap. I only paid around $40 for this Poulan but only got maybe 3 good uses out of it before the OEM pulley committed suicide. Too many plastic parts now adays... it's a shame because the engine runs pretty good you know only having 10 hours on it haha

I hate it when they throw in cheap Chinese plastic pieces on those saws. OEM is prolly the way to go but it still won't last for long. I wonder if you could cast that part out of aluminum? It doesn't have to look good just try to get something that would work and not shit out right away. I mean you already have a piece or two to make your mold with. Just have to fill in the missing plastic on the fins with glue or tape or something to hold the shape. Idk might not work very well or be worth the time, unless it works that is...
That's an idea. The set up would cost me more than a new saw though.

I've got another freebie with carb issues. I've adjusted it every way possible but can't get it to run well enough to use.

Great question! I haven't worked on it in quite a while but now that it is cooling off I hope the side projects slow down and I can get back to it. The next task is going to be pulling the whole front subframe apart and off the car to treat the rust and install the new polyurethane bushings, shocks, springs, etc. I've got most of the stuff to do it, just gotta get after it!
