- I made tires out of stone and put them on a car. But will they work? I also made concrete tires and asphalt tires to see how those did.

You’re a visionary
🫡
Didn’t dinosaurs do that in some cartoon and that was the reason they went extinct?
kinky!
I know I’ve seen that too, but I can’t remember what cartoon it was. I remember the road popped at one point.

Ok, next time, make a proper concrete wheel set, all 4, balance them perfectly, watercut them properly into a round shape and use those... And add more armature just for safety... With them balanced well, you are likely to overdo it, so it`s better that they be reinforced af... I would also consider adding some abrasive grit into the concrete, mix in some of the used up granite... It ought to add some friction to the ``wheel``...

I can't believe you drove on public roads with the stone tires! You are a madman!
As you were fitting the concrete tire on the car I was thinking... "man I wonder how that would perform doing a burnout."

You guys not know the shovel trick?
You take a regular shovel and place the blade of it flat against the ground and slide it under the wheel. Now push the handle down and it will hike the wheel up enough to stick it on the hib.
Yeah I was gonna say, 35" truck wheel/tire combos are often pushing 100 lbs.

I just horse stance carry them 😅

How of it yapping.
He knows that there is a good Chance for the stones to just break making him lose control over the car and so becomming a danger for other people on the road.
And that doesn't even mention the danger from the flung around peaces of the wheel should it break or the damage all of this does to the publicaly payed for roads it causes.
yeah that was a bit concerning
That was my concern if parts of wheel come off and and get flung out.

Guy with stone wheels driving around the corner...
This reminded me of an episode of Darkwing Duck. They went to the past, and the Dinos had cars with stone wheels, while the roads were made of rubber and inflated. And There Buildings moved up and down instead of the elevator.
I thought asphalt wheels was a dumb ideia at the beginning, but in the end I realized it was planned 😂😂😂
Doing this in the most explosive car in history is wild
You are a very brave man for driving a Pinto in reverse

Finally, I feel represented in your video. Thank you! And I approve!
I haven't clicked on a waterjet channel vid in a while and the fact that i clicked on this one for the title 🤝
Reminds me of when Mythbusters tested using logs to make wheels, which actually worked if careful, and worked even better on dirt roads.
I could see the concrete version working well in some hypothetical apocalypse type scenario.
That has to be one of the Daftest ideas on the UA-cam... hahahaha Brilliant😂
Daftest, but brilliant really. But it'll be a very bad idea on non concrete road.
Asphalt takes a long time to properly dry. If you waited, i think it would have been fine
This entire segment is filled with the anxiety of wondering if they ended up with a lawsuit from chipped stone, asphalt or concrete flying off at 60mph or a fine/charge for vandalism putting even more potholes into public roads.
The premise is interesting and entertaining don’t get me wrong but I get the sense we could all be watching this video for a different reason in an alternate universe.
I would like to see a Waterjet Channel "Alright" supercut one day
From the title i thought you were gonna cross with Garbage Time 😅
god what I wouldn't give
TBF, the Flintstone's wheels were rollers that probably weighed several tons each and might work better on roads when pavement hadn't been invented yet.

My first car was a 1970 Pinto coupe. I got it around 1980 and had to rebuild the engine. Four speed manual. I had about $400.00 in it. (rebuilt the engine myself) What a fun car. Simple to maintain and repair, around 30 miles per gallon, set of tires back then cost me probably about $100.00. I would like to find another as a beater project. Off to bring a trailer I go.
Got to get me a set of those, it looks perfectly safe and sensible.

The dust layers on that desk are impressive! A higher DPI mouse will let you reduce the size of that clean spot...
Concrete wheel is basically a tracker with chalk on the back 😂
Every time they fall into that rut, they'll remember their childhood dreams achieved of stone wheels.
In 2003 I proposed the streets should be made of inflated rubber, and a car's tires should be made of cement or stone. It was an absurd idea, created as a joke. No one took me seriously, for good reason. Thank you for exploring such a notion.
"A concrete wheel weighs about 200 pounds, which is about half as heavy as your mom" caught me off gaurd😂
Shoulda used hot asphalt if you wanted it to cure up. Also, asphalt is only syrong if it has been well compacted. Though the cold patch they ised would never filly set.
Damage somebody's parking lot, film it, and post it to UA-cam. Genius.
Worst channel? Nah, I found a winning thinker! Seriously, glad to join this journey.❤

You should really use hot mix asphalt instead of cold patch, this would definitely improve the strength and help you work with asphalt easier.
