Hey guys! So this tutorial has been delayed a fair bit, and I know a lot of you have been requesting I make this video for a good few months now. So I want to firstly apologise for the huge delay and Im not going to go into detail as to why it was delayed as I don't think it is relevant; I'll just skim the top and tell you I've had a rough few months.
As for the tutorial, I really hope this helps you guys and I would love to know what you think.
You will notice that a lot of the letters are quite shaky and look fairly messy, and the reason is, is because I never write this slow, Im used to writing much faster, which gives you smoother strokes, at least it does for me anyway. So this was a bit different for me, but the main shape and form is there for you to see. If you have any questions in regards to this tutorial or hand lettering in general, feel free to ask me in the comments below and I will try and give you the best response I can! This video is more for the people who are a little already used to brush pens... It’s kinda hard for beginners (ensigninsights actually have more videos for beginners...) but still good...👍

Ahh, that made my day haha, thought it will take some months more :D Great tutorial, just as always, but do you have any tips on how to achieve these curved strokes (like the top on of the first F)? It's really hard for me as a lefty to get these right, so maybe there's a little secret to it haha
Thank you, and go to 12:00 - That might help you. I tend to hold the pen on more of an angle when doing these strokes, so try that and see if you're able to create a smoother stroke :) Let me know how it goes :D

Also I was wondering if you can do a tutorial on how to vectorize handlettering made by a ruler pen (like the "HELLO" you have on the background) thank you! ;)
I have a tutorial which will be live on the 19th of this month which shows how I create that style. In the tutorial I am using a thin brush pen, but if you want to create something like the 'HELLO' type I made, simply follow that tutorial but use a thicker brush pen, preferably a brush pen with an actual brush because this helps you get that gritty/rough sort of luck. Thanks, and because I have been at university, so I don't have much time, or any time to do my own thing unfortunately, so in that 8 month period I only really upload my uni project work if I can, or upload over the Christmas break. Im off now until September, so Im planning on getting some videos out before then :)

Also i have one question! When im looking for songs on soundcloud to use in videos, am i then looking for the "free to download" songs, or do i have to contact the creator first? I see you use a lot of songs from soundcloud. If you could just tell mere very fast, what you do, it would be fantastic! :)
A lot of the music I use, I have permission from the artists or they have whitelisted my channel so that I don't get content-id claims when I use their music. For example CMA, Electus and JustAGent have whitelisted my channel. Other songs I have used from other artists I have contacted first. :)
