Thanks a lot for this video. I'm just learning "lettering" and my teacher started the course with bouncing letters. I didn't understand at all. So now I know I should know how to write letters properly before to know how to "bounce" the letters. Very informative, thanks. (and sorry for grammar, I'm Chilean!)
Yes I do find it helpful to learn the 'classic' style before the bouncy style.
You are pretty good explaining all this. I found it funny how your voice is so soothing which really contrasts with that super triggering squeaking noise of the pen

Your small brush pens are INCREDIBLE! I can't get enough. Prefer them to Tombow, Zebra and Pentel! I can't believe how confident they make me feel as a beginner!

@@kellycreates Any plans for expansion of the small brushes? The market for fudenosuke pens is so small! Basically it's the Tombow primary colors, the Pentel sign pens and you!

I love the bouncy lettering. I wish you would do more videos with quotes & things to show how to incorporate the bouncy into larger groups of letters/words/quotes. Like for home decor projects!

Which pens do I use? I just bought your Aqua brushes! I love them but they aren't those pens! lol I love your stuff!
I just looked on the back of the package, bristle brush tips, what do you use these for! thanks for your help! I love to paint and draw and you have all these new things out to make life easier, I love it!
The Aqua brushes can be used for brush lettering and I have more youtube vids about them. You can also use them on watercolor paper with water to color and paint.

I've never heard the tip about keeping the ovals and vowels on the baseline before - I'm excited to try it and see how it makes a difference! Thank you!
You can definitely move the vowels up and down a bit if you like, but in general when learning, it's best to keep them regular size on the baseline.

Your "K" is really pretty the way you've extended the loop and the leg.
I found so many of your products at my local Michael's and I'm so NOT ashamed to say that I said outloud "OMG SHE'S REAL...her product's are real!". Lol! Do you have any advice for when you want to bounce up too? I've seen some people have the bounce go both ways and it looks awesome! One piece of advice I got was don't bring the oval down to the baseline - are there any others? BTW - love the small brush pens - baffled as to why there isn't a red in the pack though LOL
You can raise the letters off the baseline as high as you like... .some people are very dramatic and have big differences in height. Play around with it and write the words with a pencil first. It was hard picking only 10 colors for my brush pens and I don't write with red much, so that's why I chose purple, pink and berry colours instead.

I just saw this question..sorry! There are lots of brands of smooth paper. I now have Kelly Creates Practice pads in Michaels. Also HP Premium laser jet paper 32 pounds is great.

Your reverse oval is also how I make my lower case "s". Oh!! The upper case "B" in your word "Brush" on your practice sheets is SO PRETTY! I've never seen one like that before Kelli. Very nice!
