    If you’re slightly overweight that’s fine, but she has shown multiple examples on how her weight is negatively affecting her daily life and ability to function in society. At this point, it becomes a problem that needs to be fixed.

      Forreal . The problem isn’t overweight it’s obesity. Getting more diseases and dying earlier. Stuff is a real issue for these people and they need physical help not just ‘stay the way you are’

      I've seen orangepeanut call out several obese people. Will he call out anorexic people too like Eugena Cooney? Plenty of anorexic people on tixtok spreading Eating Disorders propaganda to young impressionable people. Let's see if he chooses to "call out" other things than just obesity. It will tell us all we need to know weather orangepeanut is someone who calls out everything or is just fixated and obsessed with obesity.

    • @calit5109
      @calit5109 2 роки тому +38

      i think body positivity is about accepting every part of yourself as long as your body is healthy. for example, bodies change naturally throughout life and people need to be accepting of their own bodies in that way. weight fluctuation is inevitable for most. but this woman... her body is in no way natural, and she's trying to convince herself that it's okay to be extremely obese to where she can't even use regular sized everyday items. it's very concerning, and gives the whole body positivity thing a bad wrap

    I’m extremely fat and tbh, I want to be able to go to the beach wear a swimsuit and feel good and relaxed. I’ve been on a weight loss journey for years and have lost ALOT of weight, it just takes time. I wanna be able to have fun and be happy on this journey.
    While I agree weight loss is the ultimate best thing, it also isn’t very easy to do. Food addiction & binge eating is a real problem and it’s being normalised more and more by HAES & the fat acceptance movement.
    My past may not be unique, but my trauma and abuse pushed me towards eating. I am well aware that I need to take responsibility for that, but it’s something that takes support of the people around you and a sheer amount of discipline. It’s not easy at all as I’m sure you, orange peanut, probably know yourself.

    About ten years ago, I was up to 370 lbs. Some of it can be attributed to genetics and chronic fatigue, but I was an emotional eater and that's the main reason I got so big. So peanut is correct, about 90% of my weight gain was my fault. I had weight loss surgery about five years ago and lost 200 lbs, but I have since regained about 60 and that is 100% my fault.

Peanut and us anti-fat positivity are not hating on people like you, or fat people in general. It’s the message, and the accusation of fatphobia when we encourage weight loss on those we love, because we want them to be active and not in pain, all for love. So, if youre still working hard to be in shape, it means you love yourself enough to not inconvenience yourself with walls of fat. More power to you, bro

    The thing with people that do this kind of thing is that they find themselves in an unfortunate circumstance that is hard to get out of, and they try and fail to get better, so they accept it, and act as though the whole world needs to accommodate for them. It’s pretty messed up and it affects more than just fat people, but they are definitely the best example. Some people try to diet and think that they are doing it right, and somehow don’t seem to notice the pounds of snacks that they eat throughout the day. These people could eat 3,500 calories a day and still lose weight, so if they aren’t, you know they are definitely not following the diet.

    Since late 2016-ish, i've been the same weight, 15 stone but because of my naturally bulky build, it didn't show as much as it would on a naturally skinny person. I left college in 2017 with depression and put on a bit more weight. January this year, i had a one of my lower back teeth taken out (not weight related) So, i had to eat liquid food (soup, mac & cheese) from then to now, i'm 12 stone, almost 11 and I feel better. I feel more confident, I feel more creative and productive, i can wear my old clothes again, and most of all, I feel healthy again, i'm eating more healthier now too, no way i'm getting back to that again. Having my tooth pulled and no being able to eat the food i enjoyed for a while made me realize how much junk i was eating. I no longer have ragged breathing or wheezy breathing and am more out there in terms of my worldly affairs. Being fat is not a joke, discriminatory or something to coddle and whine about, it's something to fight. I did all this without consulting a doctor, because I'm driven and determined to stay on this path. These women are gonna get to a point where they're past the point of no return and wonder why no one tried to help them although many did.

    I'm quite overweight, being 5'8 and about 200-205 pounds, but I'm working on it, but I know I am not in a healthy weight, I have been working out since December and I have lost about 20 pounds, maybe not the best, but it is progress, sadly I'm currently on a break because I have a terrible fever (40 degrees Celsius) and I can barely even stay awake, but after I get over this I will try to get back into my workout routine again.

      Bro same actually. I’ve just been jogging a lot recently, and although I don’t need to lose weight I just kind of enjoy the exercise. It’s… fun in a way.
      I’m also sick right now but I’ll be back jogging after I recover.

    That stuff is not fat phobic in the slightest. While I do think the shower towel is a tad small. I'm 6'5 and 305 with no issues fitting into chairs, or wrapping towels. My goal is to get at about 268-275ish with 14-17% body fat but even now I have never not been able to fit into anything but compact cars due to height. Lol

    i’m literally studying medicine at university training to become a doctor so i can pretty much tell you this is what he would’ve said;
    Perhaps she has a chronic eating disorder and needs adequate treatment in the form of therapy and proper nutrition consultations in order for her to change her eating habits and eventually change her life for the better. She quite literally says her size is causing her physical pain so it’s already at the point of worsening her life. Ultimately yeah it is her fault but there can be lots of factors at play that cause her to be so obese. What i can’t seem to understand however is why she’d post her “safe space” doctor consultation for the entirety of the internet to see, if you want a safe space surely that’s something confidential..
    Sooo The issue here is she probably took what he said as offensive cos she’s used to victimising herself and not actually understanding that she needs to cooperate in order to help herself. Hopefully she’ll come to terms with it with the right support and work to make herself better!

    Being obese is very unhealthy no matter how you look at it. Everyone should strive to improve their health. I lost 31 pounds in less than 3 months (I was overweight and wanted to lose the weight) so all I did was eat healthy and light and did cardio (I ran 1-3 miles a day)

    Im fat myself, but I believe that the world believes that skinny and looking healthy is beautiful. Therefore, we either take the criticism or we take action. It would be the other way around if fat was widely recognized as beautiful. We have to adapt to what the society believes or else prepare to take the criticism.
