There’s nothing wrong with being fat, but there is a very wrong thing with being fat and doing nothing about it. I used to be 180lbs in 8th (13 years old), and decided to actually do something about my health and lose ~35lbs in about 2 years. When I was fat, there was no discrimination against me. I wasn’t denied basic rights. I was denied benefits that I chose to not get. Fitting into certain clothing sizes and chairs, fucking chairs, aren’t a basic right so not having them isn’t discrimination.

As a fat (I'm working on it, don't worry) woman of color, I can say with 100% accuracy that the whole oppression thing is bullshit. I do not feel oppressed when I go to the doctor and they tell me I'm overweight. This is not because of my skin color, it's because of my habits. If they weren't appealing to them, those who dislike can stop watching. And ultimately by putting all this divisive wokeness in everything, all they're doing is making the content worse and losing actual fans interest. Go woke go broke. People are allowed differing opinions on touchy subjects that offend the easily offended/virtue signalers. lol And it creates for lots of content that gets views, so youtube ain't gonna have a problem with it. lol
As a man that is 298 pounds his senior year of high school, I've learned to work on it. I'm making progress to work on being healthier. It takes time. I've also not let it get to me because like this guy said, I've chosen to eat lots more than I should and not work out regularly after. The only way I feel an obese person should not be denied is if they have a medical condition or are in a negative space. If you eat lots more because you lost your grandma, to a certain extent I would see it could be acceptable, but then you have to realize what you are doing to yourself and try to fix it. If you do not so anything to fix if or you refuse help for it, the. I have the same opinion as this guy.

It's sad because I remember when Panera used to be semi healthy. Mainly built on salads with soup. Now it's just unhealthy sandwiches and mac and cheese.
As a general manager of a restaurant, I am always very hesitant to hire overweight people because in my experience they tire more easily, and literally take up too much space to work around in small areas. The pantry line is about 4.5 foot across, so if I have two obese servers working, it will literally clog the flow of my employees trying to move through the area. Much like how their arteries have trouble sending blood from their heart to their brain.
I used to be damn near 300 lbs. I am now 160. I used to pull this"I'm fat and beautiful". .. now... I'm absolutely disgusted with how I ate. It was gluttony at it's finest. I wasn't healthy. I was sore. Depressed. These fat activists are not trying to convince you or me. They are trying to convince themselves that they are ok/beautiful/ healthy.
I agree with everything except the beautiful part. You can be fat and beautiful in my opinion. I know a lot of people won’t agree with me but as a fat person who’s losing weight, i would rather call myself beautiful instead of shitting on myself and losing confidence for something i’m actively trying to change. Also congrats on the weight loss!! ^^
same, im severely underweight due to anorexia and i know it's unhealthy and bad, we don't need a movement we're strong enough to not throw a pity party for ourselves
Always been skinny and worked construction. Every day some stupid comment like “you need to eat more” “hey pole bean” “aren’t you hungry? Wish I could be like that” But the worst is the assumption I’m weak just because “ I ain’t got no meat on my bones”
As a black woman and standing at 270lbs. I hate the fat acceptance movement thinking being fat is the same as being black. Like wtf are you saying?! No one actually wants to be fat. its not comfortable. I've lost 20lbs in two months to say I feel great is an understatement. The discipline to lose weight has been life changing mentally and physically.
Not exercising not just bring pain but also: - Boredom - Depression - Weakness - Medical problems - Decreasing energy - Can be a waste of time - Degrading - No Improvements - Some bad effects takes years to start kicking. So keep grinding and Level up brothers and sisters ✊💪.
I've also observed that men not choosing fat girls to date is seen as misogynistic behaviour in the society, but if a woman doesn't want to date fat guys it becomes her "choice" and it's seen a wise thing as "she wants a fit partner what's wrong with that"
It’s seen as fine for girls to criticize men for being short, which they have no control over, but if a man doesn’t want to date a woman because she’s fat, which they can control, it’s seen as wrong.
That's feminism in a nutshell these days I guess, it started as a great movement, but now its nothing but a joke full of hypocritical extremist women hating and shaming men unnecessarily just to feed their inferiority complex mindset.
@@sree3650 So true, and it sucks 'cause there was a time I proudly called myself a feminist - back when that meant advocating for *equal* rights and *equal* treatment that is not the embarrassing mess of a "movement" it is today

You don't even have to be a chiseled Greek god, just... put healthy things into your body. RESPECT your body. It will reward you, I promise. Over-eating and that temporary sense of satisfaction you get from binging does NOT compare to how good it feels to be healthier.

As a fat person myself. "FAT ACCEPTANCE" is the road to morbid obesity. I'm 200 lbs at 5'6 so I'm basically obese for my height. I'm currently going on a diet and doing exercise. I feel much better and lighter. Thank God I did not give up. I started working out 4 days ago with intermittent fasting. I lost 5 lbs. I know that it is a small progress but it is much better than just gaining weight.
I hate how people say “fatphobia” like a phobia is an irrational fear. Anti-fat would make mor sense Also this guy is the most based human being in the observable universe
@@lightbeambeatz Incorrect. Phobia means the irrational disgust of a thing. Homophobia is a type of phobia, the intense hatred that many gay people get is heavily connected with disgust and the feeling that they are unnatural. Fat phobia, on the other hand, is not an irrational fear, as humans have the built-in nature to stay fit. This dates back to the past when our hunter-gatherer ancestors had to run and attack with agility. This “phobia” of being overweight is quite justified.
Physically I am incapable of becoming strong (being unable to do lifting, due to a messed up spine), but I can increase my stamina and muscles. it’s ironic that the chick who said skinny people don’t get told to gain weight said the thing about doctors telling them to gain weight, because when i was 110lbs at 19 years old as a 5 9 male and i was suffering several different health consequences, i asked my doctor what to do. you know what he said? “GAIN WEIGHT” lmao
Tiktokers are so condescending and self-important. This woman doesn't know the difference between real-life and make-believe. She thinks she's living in a fantasy world where obesity is fine.
I have been "discriminated" by a doctor for being to skinny, i was under 100 lbs at 5'9. I did take this personally at the time because it didn't really have anything to do with the reason for my consultation, but I was infact unhealthy. Now I'm 140 lbs. It goes both ways.
Also to add, when I worked at mcdonalds people always commented on my arms, that they were to skinny. Told me to go eat a burger. I have not seen fat people being subjected to the same comments. I'd say it's worse for a skinny person, because people feel they can say whatever they want to them because "they want to be skinny". Which is not true.
Exactly I've seen skinny people be called a B.O.B or a ( bag of bones) and think nothing about it because....oh well they're skinny. People always dismiss skinny shaming
AGREED, since im very skinny, people think that commenting on my body, such as "bones", "do your parents even feed you?", "omg i can hold your whole wrist with just my two fingers" is fine, like 😐😐 it's so normalized to say stuff like that to skinny people, but when the same thing is said to a fat person ("omg eat a salad, go work out, you're so fat") THEN it is body shaming 😐 istg skinny shaming gets overlooked so much

Here's my hot take (aka my opinion, so if you dont agree that's fine) What we should really be accepting is people's *natural* bodies. If you work hard and try your best to keep yourself healthy, and you still have a tummy or a little bit of extra skin, you're great and beautiful. BUT, if you lie on the couch, eat the worst type of food imaginable (not even sure most of it can even be called food), and never even step outside unless you're taking your food order to go eat on the couch, then sorry but no. I fully understand how hard it is to get up off of said couch, but this whole "body positivity" movement makes the whole thing even harder then it was, because you'll have even less motivation. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk, here's a burrito for you :) 🌯

Story time! I used to be so fat (211lbs)and I was so unhappy about it.. But then I discovered the Fat Acceptance movement and I was okay for a while.. Like, omg, I'm fat and proud.. Then, I went to an OBGYN because I stopped having my period.. My knees hurt because they can't support my weight, I can't tie my shoes coz my tummy gets in the way, I can't walk for more than 100 meters without feeling like dying.. And I realized, like, nah, this ain't a way to live.. So I started trying to lose weight, my period came back (but not regularly yet, it came twice a year instead of nothing at all), my knees suddenly stopped hurting and I was able to play tennis again for longer.. When new people meet me, they can't believe that I used to be 211lbs, (I'm 135 now but I gained some back coz I used oral contraceptives and covid 😂😂😂).. I would try to look for fat photos of myself but they are really hard to find.. And then I realised, if I was really happy with myself when I was fat, why didn't I take more pictures? Why was I always hiding at the back of family photos? Why? Coz the truth was, I was lying to myself.. I hated my fat self. I hated how I feel (physically), and how I looked.. It was awful.. These people should really stop lying to themselves and just accept that this shit is not healthy.. Unless you have an actual glandular problem, being 300+ lbs is just a sign of laziness..

as a 5’10 boy sitting at 270, with a girlfriend who’s also heavyset, yes i find her attractive, i love all the rolls and giggles and stuff, HOWEVER, despite both our love for each other and our bodies, we will both tell you being fat is NOT okay, and nobody should ever choose this. It’s not fun to be heavily breathing after a flight of stairs, or not being able to run long distances, Ive signed up for planet fitness and though i struggle with motivation to try and work out with everything going on, im not just accepting being this weight. It’s not okay, and eventually, she plans on going with me, but we both want and need to lose weight, so we can look good and do things every normal sized person should. Please, do not stay fat, do not get fat, take care of yourselves, I’m begging anyone who reads this to care for themselves.

we also need to stop the body shaming that goes on to drug addicts… just because you do drugs doesn’t make you unhealthy!
If anyone is oppressed it's drug addicts. When was the last time someone was jailed by the state and their kids taken because of a Twinkie addiction? But drug addicts aren't like this, they at least know it's unhealthy.
@@gypsylee333 they are being oppressed for treating their body how they want to, and that’s awful
@@deepfriedavocado I don't think either are "oppressed" per se, but my point I guess it's the same thing, being addicted to an unhealthy substance. Fatties are the ones crying oppression though, when they are treated better and really just mean "someone thinks I'm not hot."

As a man who’s topping at 191.2 pounds in the 8th grade. I’ve been working out like never before and running 2 miles at the gym a day and eating salad daily. I’m currently at 187 pounds and still going strong! I don’t agree with these people as you should take actions for your weight. If you’re fat and want to get rid of it then that’s acceptable, but if you’re fat and keep becoming more fat and don’t care, then you have no life and deserve to be clowned.
Edit on June 25th 2022. 160 pounds rn still going.
You go king, keep grinding!
Yessir bro keep grinding! Most importantly make sure you are burning more calories then you eat so you can keep losing weight
I wish I had your motivation 😭 I’m not actually fat, gonna make that clear. I am however bigger than the people around me and want to lose weight. Gonna run a mile at least a couple days a week when the weather clears and eat healthier because I feel so bad about my habits rn :/

I’m 5’8 and I used to weigh 242 pounds.. I’ve lost 23 pounds in 2 weeks. Yes 2 weeks by cutting off all bread, rice, potatoes all starches. I eat approximately 800 calories a day and I’m thriving. I literally feel BEAUTIFUL for the first time in ages. I’ve lost alot of fat around my organs so not necessarily all over my body but my back rolls are melting away. I drink alot of water and don’t eat anything with processed sugar or wheats 😊 It also helps my PCOS.. If I can do it, then these woman sure as hell can. It seems like they simply just don’t want to
Just a small edit, I didn’t look overly obese because I am tall and my fat was distributed “evenly” but I felt like my heart was about to give out any minute. My heart was beating so fast I heard it in my ears (Idk how to explain but every beat I heard a thump) I always thought I was beautiful because God bless I had a partner who literally loved me.. But the fear of not being able to conceive as a woman who does get her periods scared me. Or the fact that when you go for IVF you need to lose weight so it’s successful. Ladies stop pushing this agenda that you’re healthy and or beautiful and please work on yourself

But similar to other disorders, society doesn’t need to go out of its way to accommodate you, and if you aren’t working on yourself you don’t get to complain!

People treat being fat like height: The only difference being, well one of the main differences between them is that height is beyond your control, while you can control your weight.

Him: "BIGGER." xD
I almost spat out my drink. You're so funny.
Congrats on the weight loss
211lbs isn't THAT fat
