Man I replayed the first 30 seconds like 5 times. That was some tricky editing. Also this was one of my favourite songs you've done so far. I'm not much of a musician, but when I was in a band in my youth, I remember our guitar playing also talking about sticking to down strokes to get that more aggressive sound

I clicked this video expecting very little, but I really enjoyed what you've put together here. The Ramones' style isn't terribly difficult to understand, yet crucial details are constantly overlooked in the midst of silly comments like "you just need three power chords and four leather jackets!". Thanks for getting it right, man.

That was rocking awesome Ben I always loved The Ramones ever since I first heard them in the summer of 76 WHEN i WAS 18 sadly most of the band are now dead but they were great and I loved them then and I still love them now wow Ben and that is just like a reincarnation of the Ramones awesome original great work Ben I loved it my friend

Hey Ben... I bet this was a blast putting together. I love your emphasis on the downstrokes for the guitar. Lol. But it really does make a difference! Of course these guys were major influences on today’s punk rockers including the likes of Green Day. Great job again bro!
It’s amazing how you can take influences and turn them into a song. Most people have influences that you can hear in their songs, but to turn that influence into a song that reflects a certain band or artist is a hard thing to do. It’s interesting to see the way you dissect and construct a song this way. Lol, there is no way I could play instruments like you either...great Ramones song here, Ben! The drumming rocks. :) Janet

I actually did a video like this except it’s about RamonesCORE rather than just the Ramones about a year ago.
I showed how to write songs like The Queers, Screeching Weasel, The Lillingtons and the like, as they fall under the subgenre. I explained how they used Ramones techniques and made my own song for it too!!!

Yo d0tsandlines here, I had no idea you had a youtube channel great video, +1 sub. I was talking to a friend in work yesterday and he said the only reason I'm not in love with Prince (he's obsessed) is because I'm scared of funk, and I said nah I can funk when I want to. The thing I'm really scared of is punk. Having watched this I feel slightly less so. Still it hurts to play, I got enough RSI as it is, I know I'm a wimp!
Hey, Steven! Good to see you found my UA-cam channel. I have some sort of naivety, where I think I can play any sort of music. It's good to try every kind of music, but I've found I'm best at acoustic singer-songwriter stuff. I wouldn't have known without trying these crazy genres. Anyways, try everything! The song-a-week challenge makes trying new things easier.
@@benaaronmusic I'm the same, I like to mix it up/get bored too easily. While It does seem like your main strength, I like family fun time and that's got drums etc so no reason you can't do both. Yeah definitely, this soliloquy one should be interesting. Still not started :/

If you take this style and make the lyrics about Halloween and horror themes and maybe play a darker riff or two you get the misfits 😂
