A big part of Elton's 'style' was brought about by outside forces. His initial contract was pretty tough. He was required to produce two full albums and three world tours a year. So he, his lyricist and the band had to create quickly. Elton's typical intros were used as a cue for the band to work off of, in order that they could quickly create their 'parts' to each song (drums, bass, guitar, backing vocals). The breakneck schedule would have been impossible otherwise.
This is my favourite video on UA-cam currently. You are so incredibly gifted, and I could really feel the Elton vibe in this. Bless you, and have a nice day :)
So I'm actually making a similar video and in my research, your video came up! I wish I had seen it before deep diving myself! I'm so glad that what I found on his songwriting approach matches a lot of what you said. It's very comforting! :) Also, quite enjoyed tangerine!
@@benaaronmusic the video will be going up hopefully on Monday and I hope you don't mind that I will be referencing your video (and sending people your way, cause it's damn good).
h my god, the kittie pick, you got me there..LOL! The song was well composed Ben. sounds like Elton for sure. awesome work and video as always. you put so much work into all your video's.
This is my unpopular opinion: but I would argue that Bernie Taupin might be the luckiest poet alive. He can't write music, can't sing a healthy note, and if it weren't for Elton John picking out the most interesting lines and doing all of the heavy lifting, he'd probably be dead in the gutter with the other poets.
@Dominic Dawnay I think that he's just saying that Bernie is a very good poet, however, there are many very good poets, so just like there probably wouldn't be an Elton without Bernie, there probably wouldn't be a Bernie without Elton
nice song. please do publish it

good job the song was beautiful
You are very talented. Keep growing, wish you best.
Its Elton's ability to roll around chords and improvise and his ear.
Awesome! Way to break it down and give us some insight into one of the best songwriting partnerships ever!
Wonderful new song Ben! A great piano ballad with a hint of country! Who doesn't like listening to Elton John? 🙂
You’re awesome Ben! You deserve all the success coming your way
Thank you for understanding my video, LJ. Have a good day, -Ben Aaron
That was beautifully perfect Ben yes I could imagine Elton singing and playing this beautiful song you wrote fantastic Ben loved it my friend
That’s a very nice song
I appreciate your kind words, Owen. It's difficult to sound like Elton John.
Another favourite artist of mine. We have the same birthday; I'm 22 years younger. Is there nothing you can't write, Ben? Excellent song.
You should do a Write A Song Like: Bee Gees. They've produced some great lyrics and melodies!

Another adventurous ride, Benton John. Thanks for sharing the art and the gifts!
The weather update of 15 inches of snow in the middle of a song about tangerine bathing in the sun was priceless irony.
Nice Tutorial on transitions between chords and things I didn’t know about Elton.
Nicely Done Ben..you are a man of many musical talents..well played and sung song in the style of Elton and Bernie

Thank you so much, and I'm glad that my work could comfort your trials. Have a great day.

WoW! love it..
Love the deconstruction of Elton's and Bernie's songs.
Nice one Ben piano playing sounded great to me. Nice original. When are you going to do an episode on how to write a song like the village people?
h my god, the kittie pick, you got me there..LOL! The song was well composed Ben. sounds like Elton for sure. awesome work and video as always. you put so much work into all your video's.
I'm a piano romantic arranger/composer, not the best haha, but thank you for your video :) keep up the great work, Brother!
You are very welcome. I'm learning how to play the piano myself, and it's a real challenge! Keep on making music, brother.
Woah, it's recent!
?
Like the video Ben, but to write like Elton John you need Bernie Taupin.
He is a great lyricist.
Oh yeah, he's lyrics only but I think Elton lacks without his words
@Dominic Dawnay I think that he's just saying that Bernie is a very good poet, however, there are many very good poets, so just like there probably wouldn't be an Elton without Bernie, there probably wouldn't be a Bernie without Elton
The theory sounds ok but it would help if Ben Aaron could actually sing and demonstrate what he is talking about. Walk the talk.
You can get your refund at the door.
So this is your song?
It's a little bit funny...
Ben Aaron I like those little funny looking orange things. I think they are called tangerines.
