As a single female, getting into my truck at night alone, I love the fact that I can unlock only my driver's side door, and not the passenger side at the same time. It's a safe feature that I appreciate. Just an example...
DUDE T.Y. just got my 06 Tundra, and I have to buy A key FOB for it because all I have is the ignition key. That'll come in handy when I have to program the key fob THAT'D BE HELLA ANNOYING to deal w I totally agree with you.
How did you get the remote programmed to the vehicle? I have the same remote and it came with instructions to program it to my 02 tundra however I can’t seem to get it into program mode
Do you know if you did have a 4 door if once programmed if you still retain the second unlock feature ? I have a pop n lock and a lock on my camper shell and would like to retain the second unlock for the bed. Example 1 click for cab unlock and 2nd click to unlock bed locks. In addition where did you find the program info ?
I can't tell you 100%, but I'm 10% sure that's how it works. I have a 5th gen 4Runner now and 1 click = driver door, 2 clicks = remaining doors AND lift gate. I'm guessing it's the same for trucks. I think that's how they ship from the factory. As far as "retaining" the 2 click program, you can always revert back to either program. I did some research on the internet and found the programming procedure. New vehicles may require you to go into the dealership for certain programming functions. I hope this helps. And Thank you for stopping by.
I failed twice and my alarm is going off and I cannot get the car to start. Even by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting the alarm still is on and engine won't turn over. Any ideas? Thanks!
I have a 4 door, just trying to program two new remotes, i learned that I had special type system that required me to turn the key off and on 7 times and a couple other steps, got it to work .. thanks for trying.
