Steve Perry is phenomenal singer. I love his performance of “Mother, Father” from the Live in Houston concert (1981) - - jaw dropping (in my opinion ☺️)

When it comes to Journey, 'Wheel in the Sky' is one of my fav song ever.
Probably the craziest band in rock. BUT also one of most talented. When Steve says "I never felt like I was part of the band." It blows my mind.
I saw them a few nights before this show in Dallas Texas @ Reunion Arena. They sold out three nights in a row. 1982, I was a junior in high school.
I was at that concert too…it was amazing!!! AC wasn’t working well & it was hot as hell in there but the band played just as amazing as the Houston concert, Steve Perry hit all the notes perfect. We saw 3 girls pass out that night 😂
Journey was the real deal. They were so good, and their joy in performing was unmtached. Thanks, Emma, for sharing this one. 🙂

This is only the tippy top of the iceberg with Steve Perry check out some songs that were not played to deth on the radio. Still they ride, sweet and simple, why cant this night last forever for just a couple. Then there is his solo stuff.
Watch Dead or Alive from this same concert. The guys are having a blast.
Steve Perry has a great voice. I recommend Journey's "Open Arms", Wheel in the Sky" and "Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin". Also if you want to kick off some Christmas songs. I recommend Josh Groban's renditions of "O Holy Night" and "Ill Be Home For Christmas" from his album "Noel" Just beautiful. Great reaction!

This was such a stellar concert. I was a senior in high school and this by far was the best live performance I’d ever experienced up to that point in my life. I’m grateful that I can revisit that memory here. The Summit had wonderful accousts making the live video so special.
