Did you know quincy jones and al b sure and el debarge wrote secret garden el wrote his verse and he also wrote barry white verse in this song how the song should go el did an interview telling the funny story how quincy jones tricked him to writing this song 😊😅😅😅
Patti LaBelle ATE IT UP!!!!!! So many dimensions to her voice! She does not get enough credit for her softer side. I would love for yall to do a reaction to one of her most loved songs, 'COME WHAT MAY'. Yall will love it.
Patti Labelle has won two Grammy Awards. She won a 1992 Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for her 1991 album Burnin' and a 1999 Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the live album Live! One Night Only.
Hey Werdna, Empressionist stopping by! ✋🏾 I like the male version better. However, Patti and the saxophone, babyyy! As a former school band Saxophonist, it makes my heart warm when Empress gives props to the Sax! 🤣🤣❤️ Tfs!
The original is the better version. However. I love all the ladies singing on the other version! Patti is a supreme vocalist! Q is such a great musician, songwriter and composer! I also think there is way too much sax in the ladies version! I wish they would just use the same instrumental from the original!
My choices for the 5 women to sing on this song: Patti Labelle, Teena Marie, Toni Braxton, Chaka Khan (I'll take her over the sax for this song), and Martha Wash. If you don't think Martha Wash would be right for this, listen to her singing on "Taking Away Your Space" and then get back to me.
Not rockin wit sax is like denying a body part. Jazz legacy made saxophone & many instruments an extension of the 1st instrument, human voice. It’s funny though, cause a lot of instrumentalists, especially in jazz, have same attitude about vocals….cheesy! Can understand the more upbeat tempo cause wanna have your own spin, but the main drag about Ms. Pamela’s version is the drum machine, which had become a thing like early late 80’s early 90’s. It detracts from the warmth & sensuality of the track.

They all have beautiful voices. El DeBarge has a magnificent voice, Barry is untouchable, Al B, Sure amazing, and the incomparable James Ingram ❤
It's the lighting that has those SISTAS so light...
love the chemistry

This is on the LP of the Saxophonist, hence all the Saxophone

Love this channel. It would be nice when you stop to comment on a area of the song, just bump it back a few seconds to enjoy the transitional part.
You guys don’t understand how that way made , it’s not supposed to be like the men’s version, it’s ladies the main point is Pamela saxophone
Excluding any of the ladies here
My 5 would be...
Rachelle Ferrell
Phyllis Hyman
Stephanie Mills
Lisa Fisher
Chante Moore
