Rip to my wife and mother of my child that passed away March of this year. It brings tears to my eyes … my first time hearing this beautiful song. I’m typing this while the tears slowly falls out of my eyes. It sounds beautiful but hurts so bad.

She's just does it her way. She stamps her style on it and Red does his thang his way. The instrumental is off the shizizzle. In my opinion it didn't need a lot of people backing up the chorus because it is in unison. I guess it gives them a chance to sing with the Big Dawgs. Awesome performance.

Well-arranged music by the maestro himself, Quincy Jones. I’m loving the mellow brass sound accompanying the voices. The trombone solo mesmerizes my soul. Well-crafted piece of music with Chaka Khan’s incredible voice...👍🏿
Chaka!!!! You are such pure blessing to us! So beautiful & heavenly!!!! This MUSIC will never go out of style! 🥰 One of my favorite songs ever by my favorite artists too!!!
My heart so touched by this beauty of a song and spectacular voices. When my children were little I tried to explain how a song could bring you to tears...this is the one. Miles, Chaka Khan two of my music heroes. Then Simply Red...yes.
Beautiful 🎶 🎵 🎧 Listen to the lyrics!! Simply Red & Chaka Khan 🎤 in French!! Amazing 🤩 Quincy Jones and his band are outstanding in this performance 💃🏽🕺🏽👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I would put the very under-known K.D. Lang up there with her. I've seen both ladies live. They are pretty peerless. Mick is not exactly chopped liver either!
I agree that she is OUTSTANDING! I had the privilege of a live performance in Massachusetts in 1987! She opened for the late great Al Jureau! What a night that was!!
I didn't need to understand a word of that second verse for her to reduce me to tears. Once again. I just can't with you, Chaka 💕 why you gotta do this to me...
When we lose a loved one the rawness so deep with in our person and heart breaks us. But we have the valuable memories they have instilled in our being and therefore carry them even closer now
This is one of those reflective moment i experience hearing this beautiful ,meaningful rendition by Simply Red and Chaka Khan ! Yes everything must and is changing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,not alway to our liking !
Breathtaking stuff!! Almost forgot human beings can produce such beauty through an orchestra of people. It's so sad that so many of our younger generation have never experienced this before and many never will as music exposure becomes so heavily controlled by those who respect only money and have little respect for music as an art form.
Richard Moonstone so true. I’m thankful for time spent in a few different choirs, as both a child and adult. My music teacher in primary school had a lifelong impact on me. Children are lucky if their schools have music programs now.
I love the respect musicians have for each other. Musicians who write music without cuss words and who know how to use their voices to synthesize ... There is something for talent and the respect there of for that of another's in the art of music.
THIS HAD TO BE ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.
WHEN AND WHAT AND WHERE WAS THIS ?
Totalmente de acuerdo 🫶🏼🎶💫

Glynis Lailann it’s been relevant since the beginning of time. You need to watch films about genocide victims to see how fortunate we are today.
Absolutely....
Beautiful! I wondered why Chaka had the music sheets; she killed it in Francophone ❤️That is why I love her. Amazing!
She did something similar when singing with Miles Davis, but she sounded so good that he didn’t seem to mind !
Chaka Khan is in my opinion the greatest female vocalist ever.....end of. And yes, I saw her live at Ronnie Scott's in London in 2014. Amazing.
I absolutely agree!
Martin Platt true but there was a certain Phylis Hyman - as much as I love Chaka 🤗
Especially in Ronnie's! On that soundsystem - everyone should have that experience once in their live's...
Stunning! So happy to have found this.
Two of my favorite artists Simply Red, MS. Chaka what a beautiful blending. Need more in 2021 and beyond.
Legends all, including Mr James Morrison on Solo trombone.
Thank you, I was wondering who that was. Lot's of talent in Australia.
Trombone is always good goes with everything.
Yes, a wonderful "speaking" solo
It doesn't get better than this. Quincy has a way of arranging music like nobody else and he has the two best singers, Chaka and Mick.
🎉 wonderful
Pim te bellen op de hoogte
Wonderful song
I didn't need to understand a word of that second verse for her to reduce me to tears. Once again. I just can't with you, Chaka 💕 why you gotta do this to me...
Exactly!
Translation in French of the first one.
Chaka......born to do this!!!!
Truly one of a kind!!!!
A beautiful rendition with Simply Red and the incomparable Chaka Khan
I am amazed. Chaka is amazing.
Ice and Fire
@@denisegray5722 girl, where you been. Check her out in the 70's.
love this dynamic 3 and they are beautifully doing this 🤗💖
SWEET THING!⭐️
I love her so much. Her voice always moves me and touches my heart.
Quincy jones. Chaka Khan. Mick Hucknall of Simply Red. 'Nuff said. Doesn't get much better than this. Thanks for the upload, zxtrated. Blessings
Word....
Exactly
When we lose a loved one the rawness so deep with in our person and heart breaks us. But we have the valuable memories they have instilled in our being and therefore carry them even closer now

Verissimo.
Merci pour ce divin moment🙏🏻❤️🇫🇷
Chaka is a real jewel of singers! blessing to her!
Love me some Red Chaka
Chaka makes me cry in any language.
Good lord! This timeless tune is so beautiful - tears...the arrangement, the voices - wow.
This is one of those reflective moment i experience hearing this beautiful ,meaningful rendition by Simply Red and Chaka Khan ! Yes everything must and is changing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,not alway to our liking !
Masterpiece! Phenomenal artists!!!
I don't know how I'm typing.....after I've melted into a puddle....In awe of the Kahn....Utter bliss and rapture. Ain't Nobody....:)
This redition gives me the best feeling thanks quincy jones for putting this together.life itself always on the move nothing stays the same
Breathtaking stuff!!
Children are lucky if their schools have music programs now.
dont tar all the music business -that is not true of the people i have worked with who were dedicated.
My sentiments exactly. This is music as it is meant to be
Our lives together and alone are like poetry in motion. I am grateful🤗
Mick Hucknall....Chaka....Quincy...Timeless treasures
Chaka was my favorite and still is. She is great. 😍😍
YES!!
I love the respect musicians have for each other. Musicians who write music without cuss words and who know how to use their voices to synthesize ... There is something for talent and the respect there of for that of another's in the art of music.
The moment Chaka started to sing, I felt this big lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.
In French, no less..Chaka is such a powerhouse, Mick, nicely subdued. Only Quincy could arrange like this! xoxoxo
Quincy Jones doing his thing year in and year out.jan2022.
