- Toto playing in my hometown Trondheim on Sunday June 30th on their 35th anniversary tour.
Filmed with my Canon Legria HF R47. It's quite shaky at times, but I didn't have a tripod, and I was in a crowd with jumping and dancing, drunk Norwegians - so it was pretty much impossible to keep the camera steady at all times. But I think it turned out pretty alright all things considering.
The sound is pretty uneven as well, cause it seems like the camera switched between focusing on the crowd and the music itself, but I'm surprised at how well it turned out (first time recording with this camera at a concert).
I didn't film all the songs, and sometimes the songs I did film - I didn't film the whole song. But watch what you like, skip through if you want.

It was an amazing concert and I had a great time. They're great entertainers and I've never enjoyed a concert this much before. I've loved their music for quite a while now and it was great to be able to see them live.
And just because other people seem to write this on videos like these: I do not own any of this music or anything of anything. All songs and this and that belongs to Toto and their... people. And so on. I just took the liberty to film it for my own memory's sake, and for ya'll people :P

Nice. What the hell were you filming this with???? During (i think) "Falling in Between" you zoomed in on Joe and I could count his fillings!!!!! Awesome. Truly one of the great bands of our time. So great to see Lukather, Paich and Steve Porcaro playing together. Long live TOTO!!!!!!!!
Okay, I just got through listening to Tim Reynolds live at Gorge Camp-ground, and now I come here to catch Toto playing Hydra in the land where my grandparents come from. I'm about ready to burst from musical ecstasy and my "fix" for the evening is now complete!!!

Nah, Dave was just making fun of Simon. They've been through too much together. ;)
Simon left for multiple reasons: He felt the dynamics of the band had changed (with Mike being absent), they rarely played material from the albums he recorded with the band during 2010-2013 (I will remember, Gift of Faith, Falling in Between, Better World), schedules conflicted with his other projects, a new album was not in sight due to lawsuit issues, plus he enjoyed writing material for Protocol again and going to Jazz festivals. Also he mentioned, that he is always striving for new challenges - without new albums, that is hardly the case with Toto.

The video looks fine the problem is the SOUND !! even expensive HQ video cams have cheap microphones and really poor audio capabilities, for the 100'th time it may have sounded great where you were sitting but a couple of cheap mikes in your camera cannot even capture 1% of the live sound, if you can't tell the difference then I'm surprised you have enough taste to even know top quality music.The human ear is an amazing thing, even $20K studio microphones don't come close, our ears our directional, can focus on the good, discard the bad no microphone in the world can capture what you hear at a concert, that is why the good videos take their sound direct from the sound board or even better a remote multitrack recording truck.
I am completely aware of the sound. I say something about it in the description.
people keep yelling around me during the convert and my camera didn't know what sound to focus on. not my fault. I just wanted to film the concert, not to a professional recording of it :)
