I was 20 when Brothers in Arms was released, I'm nearly 60 now and still find the title track a haunting masterpiece no more so than here . The past few years I've suffered from tinnitus, there are very little music I can stand listening to. On a good day I can enjoy a couple of Mark's songs before the noise in my head takes over. Thanks for this Mark, truly.

en el instituto empecé a tocar la guitarra e intenté tocar sus canciones porque me cautivó desde la primera nota. Cuando descubrí a los Dire Straits, parecía como que los había escuchado toda la vida. Ahora puedo decir que así ha sido. He tenido la suerte también de asistir a sus conciertos, en Barcelona, y todavía hoy, a mis 49, sigo intentando imitar sus temas con mi stratocaster. La tengo aquí al lado, apoyada en un amplificador Peavey de cuando tocaba en algun grupo... Así que no tengo que decir que ha sido algo importantísimo y la banda sonora de mi vida. Gracias!!

Mark Knopfler accompanies my time here on earth for almost 25 years now. To some songs I listened so often I know every single detail, every harmonic of the strings so mellowy resonating in slight tube saturation. He often soothed my mind while I was driving, lost in thoughts, in so different phases of my life. I've partially _lived_ in some scenes of his besung characters, glimpses of portraits which I see clearly in my head as if they were movies. He truly is a magnificient storyteller.

My 9 year old son and I share many moments listening to Mark’s music. His favorite song these days is Tunnel 19. He knows all the lyrics. Thank you for all the music making moments.
Love Mark's music. I have since I first heard Sultan's of Swing on the radio. His story telling is provocative and rich. Tunnel 19 story happened about an hour from where I live but 100 years ago. I'd never heard the story before. Mark's ability to revitalize history and set it to beautiful melodies is unsurpassed.

Love Mark's music. I have since I first heard Sultan's of Swing on the radio. His story telling is provocative and rich. Tunnel 19 story happened about an hour from where I live but 100 years ago. I'd never heard the story before. Mark's ability to revitalize history and set it to beautiful melodies is unsurpassed.
